I've been going to Carey for years, and she is truly amazing! Not only is she incredibly sweet, but she's also so much fun to be around. If you're nervous about waxing, Carey is the person to see. She creates such a relaxed, welcoming environment--it honestly feels more like catching up with a friend than going to an appointment. Carey strikes the perfect balance between professional and personable. She's efficient, detail-oriented, and consistently delivers the smoothest results. I always walk out feeling confident and completely taken care of. Her work is exceptional--truly the best wax I've ever had. I can't recommend her enough. Go see Carey--you'll be so glad you did. And bonus: you'll leave with silky smooth skin and a new friend! read more

First... Carey is amazing!! Her space is so inviting and very much look forward to my appointments with her. She rolls out the red carpet for her clients. I was very nervous the first time I went in for a Brazilian wax. Her relaxed atmosphere and personality made me feel like I'd been going there for years. I always look forward to my time with her; it is time we'll spent read more

Glow By Carey - Carey and I hanging after an appointment. - Skin Care Near Me - Delaware, Ohio

After seeing all the positive reviews for Glow by Carey I decided to book an eyebrow wax online. The appointment booking process was easy, though understandably, you do have to put in a credit card / debit card to book. After booking you get close to what felt like million e-mails / texts to confirm or remind you of your appointment. A little annoying. The day of I used mapquest to get to the location. I was instructed to turn off of 5th Ave onto Arlington Ave and then turn left into the parking lot. As I started to turn into the lot I noticed that all of the parking spaces were angled for cars coming the other direction. There was not a one way sign, but essentially the parking lot is set up that way. If you are heading to Glow by Carey I suggest turning onto Fernwood Ave from 5th Ave, then you will be set up for success to pull into the parking lot, and park behind Glow by Carey. Instead I just parked on Arlington Ave and walked through the lot and then into a mini court yard to get there. I waited a very short time for Carey to finish up with her current client. Overall my appointment went great. I asked her to clean up my eyebrows. Really I was looking for any advice or improvement. I think she gave me just that. She ended up tinting my brows which made the outer portion of my brow look a smidge thicker. I appreciated that. I will book my next eyebrow appointment with Carey and we will see in time what her skills can do. read more

Carey is efficient and good at her job. I was a long-time client of Waxxpot and stopped after I'd had enough of their staff turnover and price increases. I want to see the same person each time. Carey gets the job done quickly and leaves me so smooth, better than any was I've ever had. I love her professionalism. read more

I just moved away from Columbus, and one of the people I will miss most is Carey! She is just the best. Kind, accommodating, funny, and ALWAYS respectful and gentle. I have had waxes at a few other places, however nothing comes close in terms of comfort. Carey is excellent at what she does and is just an angel. read more

My first time getting waxed and I was so nervous. Carey made the whole experience amazing. She would explain what she was doing but also talk to you about other things as a distraction. I've since gone back for another wax and have my next one scheduled. Go to her!!! read more

The reviews didn't disappoint at all! Carey made me feel very comfortable from the moment I walked into the door. This was my second Brazilian but my first time booking with Carey & I'm definitely going to come back. She was very quick, the results were great, perfect service all around, & I can't wait to book my next appointment! :) read more

Honestly I have the lightest eyebrows of life you can barely see them so when I have a color on them I normally freak tfo. However, Carey made them beautiful and instantly loved them instead of feeling like I wanted to wipe it off (this never happens) Carey, I'm obsessed with my eyebrows, thank you read more

I went to Carey after reading all the good reviews about her. I was not disappointed at all! She is super gentle with Brazilians and the pain is minimal. She chats with you through the whole process and makes you feel incredibly relaxed. I've gone back For her Brazilian touch ups as well and love that she offers this service (~six weeks after initial wax). The results are flawless and the next day there was no residual pain. I've referred my friends who also think she's amazing. I'll continue to go to her and highly recommend anyone else looking for a good Brazilian go to Carey! read more

It wasn't until I had to go somewhere else (due to my poor planning) that I realized how talented Carey really is in the "art" of waxing. She uses products the minimize pain and maximize effectiveness. Her attention to detail results in perfection every time. I highly recommend this business for all of your waxing needs. read more

I cannot say enough amazing things about this brilliant, lovely, energetic and kind woman! She made me feel like an absolutely glowing, blushing, and beautiful bride, and for that I will always be eternally grateful!! I first met her about five months before my wedding and I was so nervous about my wedding make-up. Carey calmed me down immediately, set my fears aside and vowed to work with me until I was 100% satisfied with the end result. She did just that and more. I have a ton of allergies and my skin is extremely sensitive, but Carey didn't back down from the challenge and worked with me. I had an allergic reaction to a product we used during my first consultation. Carey was so apologetic it almost broke my heart. She immediately offered to do another consultation free of charge. Carey was able to pinpoint what she thought I was allergic to and I did not have a reaction after our second meeting. Day of Carey again blew me away. She was thrown an extra bridesmaid makeup at the last minute and handled it like an absolute professional. Even with the additional make-up to be done, she was still done with my makeup BEFORE the time when I needed to be ready. The woman is a saint!! All in all, Carey is phenomenal, and I would recommend her for all things make-up related. read more

It was a great experience. My skin felt refreshed and radiant. She was very attentive and overall made the time very calming and relaxing overall. Bonus: she is the best of extractions. I had some deep bad ones and she got them out and my skin just felt smooth and clean. The massage though!! I wish she did full body massages because just the mini shoulder massage was heavennn! read more

so quick, does a great job, mostly painless, and she's super nice to talk to! will be going back!!

I still love seeing Carey to get my eyebrows wax & tinted!! She also has rates that are affordable and dont break the bank, like some other places in the area. read more

Carey is wonderful! She has been doing my brow and lip waxes for about a year now and I visited her for a facial for the first time and had a wonderful experience! So relaxing and my skin is super soft and glowing! She is very gentle yet thorough in her techniques and helps my brows into their best shape every time. She's so great to talk and laugh with as well - thank you Carey! read more

I visited Carey early last month before traveling to celebrate my anniversary. Of course, I wasn't interested in spending 7 days in Mexico having to worry about shaving and keeping that area neat. So I decided to try Carey. Let me just say, I had never had a bikini wax let alone a Brazilian. Completely terrified as I was, I decided if I'm going to go through with it, I might as well go to someone who seems to have the best rep in town. Enter Carey!! She was extremely professional, personable, and reassuring. She walked me through every phase and made sure I was completely comfortable. She even gave me a big congratulatory hug afterwards for making it through my first Brazilian like a boss! It was quick and honestly, not NEARLY as bad as I thought it would be. And I'm definitely going back. TRUST THE REVIEWS! She's amazing. read more

I've been getting waxed for the past 7 yrs at a top spa in NYC that specializes in brazilians. As a customer I'm probably the worst kind just because I'm very picky. I analyze everything from the initial greeting to the look and feel of my skin the next day. Now 5 months pregnant living in Columbus I'm even more cautious about who I see. I met Carey for the first time today. She is by far one of the best estheticians I've ever been to. She was very welcoming, gentle, professional, sanitary and fairly priced. She used natural products to soothe my skin and her technique was much gentler than I've ever experienced. My brazilian only took 15mins, but it felt longer because I enjoyed talking with her so much. I highly recommend anyone looking for a great wax and overall experience visit Carey. Even if you've never been waxed or had a bad experience elsewhere at least visit her once. She's worth it! read more

I had a great experience with Carey. I love the small(er) salon experience with a business owner in business for themselves-- none of this pack 'em in, get 'em out pace as with larger salons in this area. Being pampered by one's surroundings is important for waxing and skincare, sure, but Carey includes another key aspect: her personality is so comforting! She's easy to talk to, and (especially for something like waxing), the instant-rapport is invaluable. Besides her speed, friendliness, and overall good-vibes, Carey is also available for appointment when many other salons and services are not! Girls (and guys!) take note: you CAN get a Sunday or Monday appointment! Which is good-- because I Sunday is a great day for less glamorous services such as waxing or a thorough facial (Legally Blonde 2, anyone?). I also really appreciate Carey's passion for her products. She had lots of information on all the products she uses-- including her wax. I definitely got the feeling I was experiencing products that she thoroughly researched and had experience with. None of that mystery-gunk for wax! She used a lovely soy-based type, which is increasingly becoming a demand of mine. I truly felt as though thought and care went into everything Carey did. She even suggested tinting my eyebrows to help minimize some sparse spots on my brows. As a blonde, I wouldn't have thought of this, but it looked subtle and great-- even hiding my sparse patches in my arches. I'm looking forward to booking a facial! read more

I just relocated to the Columbus area from Michigan about a month ago and I was a bit nervous about going to someone new for a Brazilian. I consider myself a loyal customer and when I find a place that I like...well I don't change easily. With that being said...There's not much to add that hasn't been said in previous reviews! Carey was very professional but she still made me feel comfortable and relaxed. (As relaxed as you can be during a Brazilian...) Typically I would be in pain for at least one day after getting waxed. But after my session with Carey I was in absolutely no pain! I would recommend Carey to anyone looking for professional wax services. read more

Awesome.. My "girl" looks awesome!!! Alright ladies, I'm very picky on who waxes me and would whether go "wild" than just let anyone touch me and Carey is the best! I recently moved to Columbus from Chicago and I read everyone's review and trust, this place is IT!!! The place is clean, good waxing product, and she never reuse sticks in wax! Carey is very professional and has great personality, I had to make myself a standing appointment, I found my new wax lady!! Okay, I did have to sort myself out at the address; so to help those interested in location, it's behind building, down second set of stairs door 5 I think?! A lot of business there including yoga read more

Whenever I move to a new city, two of the toughest parts (aside from the unpacking, of course) are finding a new hair dresser and finding a place to get my brows waxed. It took me almost a year of searching around Columbus, and I've tried at least half a dozen salons, but I finally found Carey, and my search is over! I called needing a last-minute appointment, and Carey was able to fit me in the very next day. She's super friendly, and put me at ease before I even stepped inside her treatment room. I love the soy-based product she uses. That, combined with her technique, made for one of the least painful hair removal experiences I've had in a long time. I have pretty sensitive skin, which means I'm usually red for hours after waxing. So, I typically schedule my appointments for evening and hole myself up like a leper the rest of the night. After seeing Carey, my skin was back to normal within about an hour or two and I was out facing the world later that day. Her treatment room is totally private (I am not one to enjoy a brow wax in someone's hairdressing chair out in the middle of a salon), and decorated in a chic, modern way. She keeps the conversation flowing, and shows a really genuine interest in getting to know you. I'm so glad I found Carey! read more

Carey is fantastic at making her customers feel relaxed, regardless of how potentially awkward things could be. I've been really happy with my waxing results, she's quick and professional, and the prices are very reasonable for what you get. read more

After my stylist moved away... I had a hell of a time finding someone I could trust to do my eyebrows! I had an awful experience at a salon that is now closed (surprise!) and until Carey came heavily recommended, I had been nervous about finding someone new. Well, now I drive all the way from New Albany just for Carey :) I will happily pass her card off to friends. She is warm, inviting, open and sweet. Carey made me feel really valued as she made accommodations to meet me on my first appointment. She does a great job with my eyebrows, figured out what I wanted after my first visit and even gave me some tips on how to fill in my brows every day. For an honest, experienced aesthetician with exceptionally reasonable prices (seriously, for this girl's quality of work!) I highly recommend Glow by Carey! (Also, the facilities are gorgeous at Studio Elements!) read more

I had a facial scheduled & Carey texted me an hour & a half before saying needed to cancel because she was sick. Totally understand. What I don't understand is why instead of rescheduling my appointment she said she would put me "on the waitlist for the next few months". This is completely unprofessional and inconsiderate. Not a great look. read more

So I looked up reviews for waxing in columbus and I found Glow. Based on the myriad of positive reviews I decided to give it a shot. I wanted to pick somewhere solid for my first foray in to Brazilian waxing and I was NOT disappointed! She was kind, understanding, explained everything well, and took my nervous ramblimg in stride. The whole thing was professional and comforting. I made my next appointment and I'm so excited to have found her! Could not recommend this place enough. Thank you Carey for being great. read more

I was looking for a new place for a bikini wax and picked Carey since she's right down the street from where I work. Love her and highly recommend! I've been for two bikini waxes and she's great! I haven't gotten any bumps or irritation either time. So, so happy that I found her! read more

Being a male and having much pride, I was quite embarrassed to finally go in and get my back "sweater" waxed off. With all of the stories I heard about, I thought it would be quite painful. I was quick to realize how wrong everyone was. I was recommended Glow by Carey from some close friends and was extremely impressed by the calm, quiet atmosphere and her eager attitude to help me. The layout of the room was cozey with serene elements to heighten the mood. She was extremely easy-going and made me feel quite comfortable throughout the process. Best of all my back no longer resembles that of a sasquach! Thank you and yes, I highly recommend her services. read more

I was so nervous for my first wax, and Carey was amazing. How she can make you you feel so comfortable, doing something so uncomfortable, is a real talent! She was friendly, professional, and the results were amazing. I highly recommend Carey, and I'll be going back! Thanks again, Carey! read more

I visited Carey for a bikini wax in January and was very impressed with her. To give you some background, I have been waxing for over 10 years and have done so in over 50 salons, some of which include high-end fancy shmancy places in NYC & Fairfield County, Connecticut. I consider myself picky about this process which is why I am always going to the next salon to try and find a meticulous and professional person who is good at his/her job. Now that I have moved to Columbus, I was lucky enough to find a great person on my first try and am very happy I don't have to look any further! I have switched back and forth between hard wax and wax with paper strips, I am partial to hard wax, but open to using other kinds. Carey uses wax w/ paper strips which I was hesitant about but decided to go w/ it. She asked me how much I wanted taken off and made sure to ask me what I was expecting from this appointment. It ended up working out well because she almost never had to go over the same area twice, and it was very gentle on my sensitive skin. I should also note that I am allergic to fragrance when it is applied on my skin. I had no negative reaction to the products she used. She didn't re-use any of the sticks or the paper. She had oil to place on the skin after the wax to calm the redness and irritation. She was very meticulous and if she didn't get the hair w/ the wax (which was not common), she would tweeze out every remaining unwanted hair. I hope this review is helpful to those of you who consider yourself picky with the waxing process. She is professional, sanitary, and accurate. I rarely write these reviews because I try to save them for the people who really deserve it, and she does. read more
