Nachos Plaza

We frequently eat at this establishment. We enjoy sitting in the bar area, normally with sporting events on TV. Chips and dip always fresh, the food choices are always authentic. At the bar area the bar tenders are also the servers. The food prep time has always been quick.

Chard and chips!

Service is very fast and friendly! Food is gluten-free if needed- i live the taquitos! They are my go to! I haven't had anything i didn't like! We like bar seating to watch TV and still hear the music - it's comfortable and somewhat intimate!

A pleasant surprise. I rarely eat at 2.5 star restaurants, but they have a restaurant in Salisbury, and we enjoyed the food. We stopped by for lunch, and there were about 6 tables of patrons. We were seated right away, and the waitress was pleasant . They bring the chips with both salsa and the white sauce for the chips. Both were good. We order the #121 big burrito and the 2 quesadilla entrees. They both had plenty of flavor, and after eating the chips, we had to get a take-home box for about half our meal. The total is about $25, and we didn't get anything but water to drink. I have zero complaints other than the chips were a bit thick, but that helped them hold up to me shoveling the salsa by the scoop loads without breaking. We did like the Salisbury location a little better due to the decor. We will be back.

Fajitas for two!

Food is great, and it's priced very well. Their chips and salsa are good, the "white sauce" is amazing. My wife and I go there and get thefajita for two. The servers are hit or miss, maybe they are just having an off night. Place is clean and I feel safe eating there.

Omg every time I order from this place they never disappoint. The food is always flavorful and amazing it's like my new favorite place to eat. I always say my favorite food is Chinese but I think it's Mexican cuisine now. I love how fresh everything always tastes. And it seems to me to be a more healthy option with how they prepare the food. If your ever in the area make sure to stop by your not going to regret it.

Carne asada gone wrong.

This was by far the worst restaurant I received food from and if I knew how bad this was I would have gone to Taco Bell or McDonald's across the street. I ordered carne asada and my gf got tacos Al pastor and they forgot to give her the side of beans and forgot to give me my tortillas for my meal. We go in to ask them for the rest of the stuff and instead of giving my gf a side of beans they give her a side of the saltiest rice I've ever tried. We started to eat and I noticed the meat was totally undercooked and was so bland. There was no favor at all and that's what did it for me because you can't mess that up. As a Hispanic I am deeply disappointed lmao. There was a lot of liquid that it covered the beans. Never coming back!!!

On my back from an account. Stopped by for lunch. This is not located a thriving metropolis (Seaford, Delaware), but if you like good Mexican food, these out the way places are gems. Very authentic atmosphere. Friendly and professional staff. The menu was very extensive with nice breakdowns of lunch and dinner specials and also traditional Mexican specialities. I had the mixed fajita dish (chicken and beef) it was delicious. The meats were perfectly cooked. I'm not sure I'll be down this way anytime soon, but if I do, I'll certainly stop in again.

Crema sauce was think and tasted like bad mayonnaise?

I just don't know what has happened to this restaurant? Just so disappointed. Our waitress was extremely nice and checked on us frequently but the food was just not good. My favorite crema sauce was nasty and the salsa tasted like it was from the grocery store? Just very dissatisfied with my whole order tonight. What happened to my favorite place?

Stopped by on a road trip. We wanted something local, but there are very few choices nearby that aren't chains. Apparently all the mom-n-pop places chase the tourist dollars from the other highway that runs along the beach strip. So, for the inland route, this was our best local option. We learned from the menu that Plaza Tapatia is a local chain, with a handful of locations in DE and MD. The menu options are numbered, 40 dinner entrees, so there should be something for everyone. We had dog companions, so we ordered from the parking lot and waited the 15 mins to pick up. They took another 15 mins beyond that, which definitely takes a star off. They gave us free chips and salsa, which may be just what they do, or may be courtesy for the wait. Okay, you get a star back. The food was okay, 3 stars, for decent enough food, a much healthier option than Wendy's nextdoor. It was okay on veggie freshness. It is winter so I understand veg quality goes down this season. This may be their norm all year, so I'd judge more harshly in the summer, but for Jan, it was fine. Tortillas seemed fresh, and the chips held up well, and were still crispy 3 hours later when we got home, which was nice. The Taquitos Mexicanos (# 128) I ordered were tasty enough. They seemed like they might be a processed product based on how sealed shut they were. The taste reminded me a lot of the mini frozen tacos they sell at Trader Joe's. If I had to bet, I'd say these larger "taquitos" were made at the same factory. If not, they tasted like the frozen ones. Not bad-tasting, but not fresh like it was just made in their kitchen. Dessert was a crispy tortilla with honey, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and sprinkles. Not my favorite option for Mex desserts, but tasted pretty good. Hard to eat, though. They'd do better to put the same toppings on chips instead. Make a "dessert nachos" thing. All in all an okay stop. Reliable to give you okay food, that is healthier than the chains nearby. Decent prices, and you support local business owners.

I can speak about one dish but it was so perfect I would return here again and again for that one…read moredish . . . but I admit I'd be incredibly tempted to try other things. The menudo. Available only on weekends. It was perfect. The flavors were perfect. The homemade tortillas were perfect. The garnish was perfect. The spice was perfect. It's like you could taste every part of the toasty chili that made it spicy. I sat by myself, at the counter, savoring every single spoonful. I had it with a perfectly tart-sweet glass of agua de jamaica. Served from large containers in the fridge behind the counter. The menudo was sooooo good, it makes all the other menudos pale in comparison. This restaurant makes me want to move to Seaford.

Tuesday night we went to a Mexican Food for Mexican diners restaurant. I've never heard of half the…read morethings on the menu. And most things are a la carte. So I ordered a burrito. In an American Mexican Restaurant, it would come with some sort of sauce on top and rice and beans next to it on the plate. In this restaurant, it came on the plate, period. And I was expected to eat it more like a sandwich. The burrito was stuffed much like a Chipotle one. Steak, rice, beans, lettuce and tomato inside. It was tasty. Oh, and no complimentary chips and salsa first. You could order chips and a choice of a couple of different dipping sauces as an appetizer. We ordered chips and guacamole. My wife ordered a mushroom quesadilla. It came, like my burrito, alone on the plate and not cut in pieces. It did not come with salsa and sour cream. She tried cutting it up and eating it like a big nacho chip, but while the tortilla was fried, it wasn't stiff. Floppy is the best way I can describe it. She said that the tortilla overpowered the filling, so she ended up scraping out the filling and eating that, and leaving the tortilla. The cheese was Oaxaca cheese, which was different. She enjoyed the filling. The ambiance was dark but otherwise like any other Mexican restaurant. But the main vibe was dark. I don't think it's fair to pan a restaurant because the food was served in a different way than you are used to. That being said, I have to say that no effort at all was made to make the food a pleasing presentation on the plate. No garnish whatsoever. The quesadilla looked like they just turned the pan up over the plate. The burrito was just sitting there on the plate looking lonely. Not a piece of lettuce or jalapeño slice for garnish. Nothing. We had only water to drink. The price after tip was about $30. There was a 4% credit card surcharge. Not exorbitant, but wasn't too long ago that same meal would have cost half that much! There are a few "plates" on the menu, which by description are more like what we would see in an American-Mexican restaurant. I think if we go back, we would first study that portion of the menu to see if something took our fancy. I would also study some of the other a la carte dishes to try something new. The place really seemed to cater more to the carry out or delivery crowd. We were the only people eating in. Eating at home would probably be a more pleasing atmosphere. If you enjoy authentic Mexican food, I think this will fit your bill. Be warned, this is different from La Tapatia.
