The combo #5 is an excellent amount of tasty food that leaves you satisfied! The service is amazing at this location, food prep is very quick, I'd say on average from the time you order it's less than 10-12 minutes before your entree arrives. The food has been great every single time I've been there. I'd say I have close to 60-70 visits in the last 2 years. Please check out Plaza Azteca for well above quality food and service! Tip your waitress well, they work hard! Service read more

Our first visit. Food was cold. Tacos were so greasy that my hands were literally covered in oil. Specifically asked for non spicy and no bell peppers but unfortunately the food was so spicy my husband couldn't eat it and there were bell peppers in it Sorry to say but very disappointing. read more

Love the food and love the ambiance but when I was there my table was waited on at first and then our server did not come back the rest of the night after handing us our drinks. We were waiting for our checks for 30 minutes and we had to flag down another server to bring it. read more

My husband and I visited this particular Plaza Azteca on Howard Blvd this evening. it was my birthday. The service was the BEST, we had William as our server. He was super attentive and engaging, we watched the interaction between the servers and it was amazing to see how well they worked together. Like family. We met the manager Pedro who is definitely an asset to Plaza Azteca. He just couldn't do enough for you. The way we were treated this evening by our server William, and watching the dynamics of a busy evening with staff and manager Pedro, I can only say it was refreshing! The food was delicious as usual. Kudos to all of you. You made our visit feel very welcoming and it was my birthday! You didn't know it but you treated us like there was a special occasion. Thank you for a job well done. read more

There's better places! I ordered chicken fajitas and asked if they could substitute corn tortillas. The chicken fajitas I received came mixed with random shrimp and beef pieces. It appeared the grill was not cleared properly when my order was made. The tortillas appeared to be flour so I didn't eat them. The waiter asked if everything was ok and I told him thee issues. He said, "I'll be back." But he never came back. He asked if we wanted refills, we said yes, but never received one the remainder of our meal. At the end of our meal a female employee asked if everything was ok, again I shared the issues. When the check came, I was charged .99 extra for corn tortillas and the full meal. It was a busy restaurant so I can only imagine there isn't any real competition or they wouldn't be read more

Only love For Azteca I really want to continue enjoying all the good moments that I have shared with my family in azteca . But at this time at this location the ball was drop for some reason that We deed not understand something happen to this dish. "Camarones Gratinados" Was not what I expected as a seafood lover I did not understand why the shrimp were cut in half dull flavor, and a really bad presentation, And not cook at the right temperatura. Azteca needs to work on their skills on the kitchen bringing dishes out with customers expectations in mind.... read more

I will give Azteca 5 stars for such an amazing manager Augustine. He was very kind and friendly to us from the moment we sat at the bar. He made some suggestions that were great, but his customer service was really the best. Makes your experience that much better. We had flauta of chicken and pollo that were great. read more

One of our meals ordered online, was cold. The other meal was missing an ingredient, like queso. Call to let them know, and was told she would tell the manager. We heard nothing. Very disappointing. read more

I visited this past Saturday evening and the place was packed. Very good complimentary corn chips were provided with both a quality ranch dip and salsa which was some of the best I've eaten. Pina Loka entree was delicious and very different than what I experienced elsewhere. Extensive menu. My waitress was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service. Highly recommended. read more

Food is pretty good, we've eaten there a bunch of times --- service at the bar tonight is some of the worst I have ever experienced. Nasty attitude bartender could not be bothered to treat me like a paying customer, it was just one thing after the next, slow inattentive service, and could have cared less. I gave her a 10% tip....never to return. read more

Just got home with take out it was terrible. Also ordered cheese sauce on the side they charged mec10 dollars more and didn't put any in my bag. I called to tell them they need to give me money back for cheese sauce they hung up on me. Never go there! read more

Super tasty food. Good value for the pricing. Enjoyable and pleasant decor, atmosphere, and staff.

We ordered takeout for Cinco de Mayo and were ecstatic to hear that it wouldn't take a long time for our order (considering we tried calling another location and couldn't get through for half an hour.) The pickup system was organized so patrons could keep social distance and feel safe getting food. All the dishes we got were were fantastic, the only reason I knocked a star is because our guacamole was supposed to be medium and it was way too hot for us. Regardless, I'll certainly be back! read more

We had dinner there on a busy Saturday night after realizing two other restaurants were going to take 1hr and 40 minutes for take-out! We were seated immediately, all staff were following COVID safety protocols and we were served our food within 15-30 minutes. Maria C was a fantastic server! Food was delicious and reasonably priced! read more

Plaza Azteca - a plate of food and a drink - Mexican Near Me - Reading, Pennsylvania

This used to be my favorite place to eat especially since the other location had a different chef. They definitely fell off. I went there the day before Cinco de Mayo and let me tell you it was terrible. The bartender was taking orders, he was also the waiter, ect. He spilled my drink all over the table. It was horrible service. He didn't place my order correctly and was to worried about other people at the bar. Last time I'll ever go here. Not sure what happened to the service and all the workers. read more

Horrible customer service. Treated us terribly The wait staff is horrible, the managers are horrible. We were so insulted that we will never step foot in this restaurant ever again. read more

Just found out recently that this little gem is 10 minutes from my home. Hubby and I are so wowed that we've ordered takeout 3 TIMES in about two weeks. Don't judge. Sooo good and fresh, and they have great customer service. Some of the dishes we've tried and loved: Baja Fish Tacos, which were amazing, lots of flavor, and crispy with black beans and rice (usually all you can get in our area is refried beans, which we also love, but the black beans were perfect!); Enchiladas Suizas (my favorite) with moist chunks of chicken, not dried out like at other establishments, and the creamy tomatillo sauce really makes this dish; Tacos de Camaron, soft flour tortillas stuffed with grilled shrimp and a boatload of delicious, creamy cheese (to be honest, half the cheese sauce would have been plenty) and pico de gallo. Fresh chips with, of course, fresh salsa comes with the meal. We also always order extra pico de gallo and guacamole. This is comfort food on steroids. read more
