Mexican restaurant onsite at Norfolk's outlet mall. Food is just ok, not raveworthy, mostly paying for convenience. Interior flexes lots of faux-grass features to mute the otherwise industrial space; indoor and outdoor seating, eat in or takeout, lunch and dinner menu, along with a full bar with daily drink specials. Wife raved over her raspberry margarita rocks ($9) both in flavor and value. For higher quality in Norfolk, try El Azteca on E Little Creek Rd. For higher value in Norfolk, check out Guads on Granby St on Tuesdays. For higher overall experience in both, I'd highly recommend Hacienda in Chesapeake (near Dicks and Kroger) for food/bev quality, portions sizes, cost, menu diversity, and service. Fajita burritos ($19, 3 stars). Mexican fried rice ($16.50, 2.5 stars) is what was recommended by waitress when asking for Arros con Pollos (aka Pollos Americanos...ie normally fajita chicken and peppers over rice smothered in queso). Again, just ok. Dumped some red salsa on our dishes for more flavor, though our least favorite salsa we've tried in all 757 Mexican spots. White salsa available on request (as guessed, just ok).

Today we had lunch at Plaza Azteca located at the Outlet Shops just off Northampton Boulevard in the heart of Norfolk. When we go to the outlet mall, we are definitely stop here for a bite to eat. The food is consistently good and so is the service. We really enjoyed our burritos today. The complimentary chips and salsa were really good as well. It was a little spicy today but that's just how I like it. Great experience

Our family was seated right away and the drinks were served immediately with a side of salsa & chips. Everything was cooked to perfection. From the burritos to the tacos de birrias. I must say, this place has the one of the best birrias in town! With lots of meat and cheese, always a plus! There's music playing in the background if you enjoy that. I had a great time here with my family.

the food was good do not get me wrong but the service was awful. i was at the bar sitting by myself and i had to ask multiple times for things.... she has a rude attitude and i waited around for an hour and a half to finally close out... and take my food to go because i did not feel welcomed there.. id rather eat at home.. i promise you it wasn't even busy for it to be like this. bartender syrida?? (i believe was her name)was more worried about the only other man at the bar and ignored me the whole time basically. will not be coming back.

Went for lunch yesterday at the outlet. Server was friendly. Lunch portion was a good portion size and drinks are amazing. Had the pineapple jalapeño margarita. OMG that was delicious. My friend had a virgin mango daiquiri. She enjoyed it. I got the lunch steak fajitas and that was good. Only thing missing was some guacamole. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you are at the outlet looking for great drinks.

The outlet mall is where I shop most of the times but we never thought of eating here until last weekend. I'm glad we did. They were quite busy since it was a Saturday night so we snacked on the chips and salsa which was too good that we almost finished the whole bowl. Or maybe we were just hungry. He ordered the chicken taco salad while I had the fried chimichangas. We both loved our food but I couldn't finished mine since I already gorged on the chips.

Food was delicious but service was lacking. Our server walked by at least 10 times and bussed the table next to us but never came for our order after 45 minutes. We were about to order online and pay for our drinks when the manager walked by to ask us how things were. That's when our server finally came to take our order. The robot is cute.

I was a bit apprehensive at first, since the location is in the mall, but I was pleasantly surprised by the ambience as well as food! Great service and the place was packed on a Tuesday evening! The food was good, and the azteca margaritas were amaZing (and huge!). The made from scratch ceviche was delicious as well as the Al pastor tacos. Overall a great choice for Mexican food if you are tired after all day store hopping.

The food was good but we were charged $3.00 for some sour cream for fajitas. Guess we are paying for the funny digital delivery bots they have rolling via the restaurant. Bathrooms were out of soap but clean. I was seated immediately, and when we did place our orders, it came out super fast. $68 dollars for steak chimichungas "Texas chimichangas" and steak fajitas. Definitely on the more pricey side. Happy hour was from 3 to 6p. We both ordered one frozen margarita a piece, which were $9 and supposedly, we saved $3 . I just know typically I get more bang for buck, but I'm guessing the overcharge is because they're at the premium outlet. I'm a foodie so I don't mind paying for my food but this meal wasn't worth $70+ dollars in my opinion.

This visit was a pleasant surprise. I checked out the reviews before deciding to dine here and was a little hesitant... but I really enjoyed my first dining experience here, Black Friday! This location is located adjacent to the parking lot of the Williamsburg Outlets. One tell tell sign of a good restaurant, when you walk in you can smell the aromas of the dishes... not a stinky smell, but inviting... and this place was definitely that. Our waitress... I knew I would forget her name, but she was an absolute pleasure! Super friendly and very informative. She also helped my decide on what to have for lunch...her choice was phenomenal! I believe the dish was one of the newer options... it featured three meats: shrimp, chicken and steak. I really don't need several meat options, therefore next time, I will try the option with just chicken. The complimentary chips were tasty too... the salsa for dipping was good. I would prefer a little bit more spice, but it was still yummy! I didn't check out any cocktails on this visit, I had the mama with me and we were still out shopping, but I hope to visit again soon to sit and the bar to drink and dine! Now the restroom was tidy, but the paper towel dispenser, hunnnnie... only a 2x10 inch paper towel... that is not wiping anything! This was a drag, so they need to change those settings. Nevertheless, this place is located in a great spot! Check them out if you are in the area and walk off your calories by checking out the outlets. Have fun and enjoy life :)

What a surprise - my cool delivery!

My carnitas burrito was delicious! The staff were awesome, friendly and very engaging! The chips were okay but the salsa was tasty, with a little kick! Check them out, especially the robot! LoL The atmosphere is fun with tvs to enjoy games!

We did order it with a "medium" spice level and it wasn't spicy at all but other than that, it was very good. Since the Street Tacos caught our eye, we both decided on those. We ordered the Al Pastor, Barbacoa, Carnitas, Chorizo, Camarón, Nopales and Lengua. The tacos were served with a variety of different sauces, ranging from sweet and mild to very spicy. Most of the tacos were delicious, our favorite was the Al Pastor, Barbacoa, and Camarón. We weren't a fan of the Lengua, it was very dry, chewy and unflavored. Overall, we had a great experience. We came here to celebrate a birthday, and it ended up being one of those meals where everything just hit. First off, those margaritas are no joke. Massive, flavorful, and strong in the best way. Bonus: they do $2 off specialty margs on Mondays, which is dangerous knowledge now that I have it. I went with the Coco Loco Margarita (1800 coconut tequila, coconut milk, triple sec, and sweetened flaked coconut), and WOW. It was creamy, refreshing, and honestly tasted like a tropical vacation. My friends ordered the House Marg, Peach Sangria Marg and the Spicy Pineapple & Cilantro Marg, all were just as impressive. The spicy one had a great kick without being overwhelming, and the peach option was super smooth and fruity. Before we even ordered, the complimentary chips, salsa, and that famous white sauce came out ... and let me tell you, that white sauce is to die for. I could've eaten that all night. For my dinner, I had the asada enchiladas, and I'm still thinking about them. Perfectly cooked grilled steak laid over cheesy enchiladas with verde sauce, plus rice and black beans. I loved that the steak was on top because once I got full, I could still pick at the protein (elite move). My friends got arroz con pollo, carne asada tacos, and the wildest dish on the table ... the El Molcajete. It came out sizzling in a stone bowl loaded with shrimp, beef, chicken, chorizo, cactus, and all the fixings. We all shared bites and it was unreal. We ended the night with the staff singing happy birthday and completely embarrassing my friend with a sombrero and a candle in his shot. Incredible.
