I absolutely love this place. It has become one of my weekly guilty pleasures. It's a great place to go to get something that taste great and it's a healthier option. Service is always great. Everyone's very attentive and explains things very well. I love the surf shop vibes very beachy. It makes you wanna sit by the ocean.

I have tried Playa Bowls twice now by delivery. Both times I was very impressed. The portions are large and shareable. The fruit and all the ingredients are of the freshest quality. The bowls are also aesthetically pleasing. If you are on a wellness journey or trying to reduce sugar from your diet; try this place when you're craving an ice cream. The sweetners are natural like honey, agave, cacao nibs, figs, etc. I also tried a coffee. I liked it BUT if you are not familiar with the taste of chicory coffee I wouldn't recommend you purchase any of the coffee products from here. The oatmeal is yummy as well. I feel very healthy and good about dietary choices when I eat from here. I like that their menu is highly customizable. You can add things like protein, spurilina, goji berries, hemp seeds, and more.

How did I make it to nearly 50 years old before discovering Biscoff Cookie Butter? Honestly, I feel…read morelike I wasted decades of my life living in complete ignorance. I ordered the Biscoff Cookie Butter milkshake at Swirls Ice Cream Shop in Frederick, Maryland, and I am not being dramatic when I say it gave me goosebumps and made my toes curl. One sip and suddenly I understood joy on a spiritual level. It was creamy, rich, perfectly blended, and tasted like angels crushed up caramelized cookies and decided to bless humanity. I genuinely sat there questioning every life decision that had not previously involved Biscoff. But Swirls isn't just about incredible ice cream and milkshakes, the place has personality and it's cute. On many Saturdays they host fun events that make it feel like a community party instead of just an ice cream stop. One weekend they had Elsa and Olaf from Frozen hanging out with kids, another time they had a beekeeper featuring honey milkshakes because apparently these people wake up every day asking themselves, "How can we make life more magical?" Mission accomplished. Swirls is the kind of place that reminds you simple things can still absolutely delight you. Great people, creative flavors, fun events, and a Biscoff milkshake powerful enough to alter brain chemistry. 11/10. My life can now officially be divided into two eras: Before Biscoff and After Biscoff.

There's a particular local chain called Veggies... and whenever my sis would come down, I would specifically request she bring some patties from there... they were just SO GOOD!! Now.... seemingly right after my sister left the Germantown area, enter BK Juices. They have brought the Brooklyn vibes to Frederick of all places, so unexpected! They have a huge picture of the bridge on the wall, and the music that they play inside is phenomenal. I could've sat in there forever... but sadly I live a whole hour away LOL. I had the berry smoothie that has cherries in it and it was so satisfying. It's nice to have the NY vibes in MD, and in such an unexpected way! I'm always looking for the best pizza :). Now, the smoothies are noticeably more expensive than my sis's spots in Brooklyn, but I absolutely love them and can't wait to return.

The Chicken pot pie fritters were so good, lovedddddd these! It didn't need the sauce though but it was still a pleasant addition to the fritter. The pimento cheese plate with pickles and biscuit was quite the perfect and delicious pairing. I wouldn't have never thought I'd love the combination! The reuben was absolutely deliciously perfect and the fries that came alongside were fresh and absolutely delicious. You can't go wrong with the Mac and cheese either. Very good! I truly loved every single thing we ordered. I was impressed to say the least. Everything was perfectly and thoughtfully flavored. There was nothing that was overpowering. It wasn't the best Reuben I ever had, but it wasn't bad either. The fries could've probably been a little crispier. My wife got the crabcake, but there seem to be too much sauce on the sandwich so she had to just eat it with a fork. Taste wise it was OK. Again not the best one we've ever had, but not bad. My son got the salmon with the vegetables, which was pretty amazing. The salmon was tender and tasty. The vegetables were cooked in oil apparently, and delicious. No complaints there. For dessert, I got the ice cream sandwich, which could actually feed two people. I really enjoyed it but couldn't finish it because it was just massive. My wife got the crustless strawberry cheesecake, which she thought was a little different, but still good. The wait staff was very good, so no complaints there. Overall, I would probably eat here again.

Not very Common for a market!!…read more Everything here is exceptional. I love all the fruit, I literally just ate a peach and was so compelled to write about it. The staff, while is mostly comprised of college age hippies are knowledgeable and actually care. The whole store is very clean and the meat counter while very small screams old school home made!! The sausages looked so good I had to buy some, and after cooking them up with some onions and peppers my neighbors above me who are vegans were peeking as they chewed their grass and had to rethink their decisions on eating food that my food eats. There are fresh made sandwiches that they will press for you and give it that grilled awesomeness that only comes when your doing something special with meat and cheese and good bread pressed with 400 degrees of steel resulting in a sandwich that makes you want to light a subway franchise on fire. Now on my most recent trip, covid is rampantly knocking off people so a lot of the fun stuff has been put away. Normally they have fresh cooked food that you can box up hot and take and eat. The selection ranges from American favorites like loaf of meat and spaghetti to Indian food to soups and salads ( spinach salad is good, the dressing makes it the bomb dot com ) and fresh cookies and breads oh my. ( Public Notice: no lions or tigers ) You will spend more money per item here than Walmart. They don't have as good of a selection as Wegman's. They don't have a coupon app thingy that makes you think your saving money like everyone else. But you will feel like your saving baby seals and once you leave and start to load stuff into your vehicle a rabbit will wink at you in a attempt to say thank you. The lesson here is pay more money for food that tastes like food and not canned crap. Yes, we all like to save money, and that's noble. But there is a time to eat your extra long chili cheese coney ( much love sonic ) and there is a time to bite into a peach and feel like your a little kid again and have wonderful sweet juice roll off your chin and life is once again, is worth living. Stay hungry my friends, - JW

Lots of juices with 1 or 2 ingredients. I like getting snacks here for my daughter's lunch because they're not filled with junk. It is definitely more expensive than other grocery stores, but they have so many healthy options.
