2nd location in belmar(called lil belmar in the app). Has an atm. Relaxing al fresco table and seating. Inside are highchairs and high tables, not so child friendly for safety, no highchair for kids and koalakare seen. Clean and spacious restrooms. See images for reference. read more

Service is terrible. Young kids working and they wouldn't take our order and when multiple people complained, the children said they were understaffed and then snapped back and said we could go to a different location. No one took our order for about 10 minutes and people started leaving. The kids continued to just break down Amazon boxes while the line waited. read more

literally the rudest employees i've ever met, i waited fourty minutes watching every single employee not take orders and then as soon as they started the computer broke down making people wait even LONGER, i watched them give attitude toward a young girl because she asked the worker to remake her smoothie after it was made wrong. they also continually argued infront of customers. multiple people also lost their orders because they would forget which ones they already made and which ones they were still making, insanity read more

This one is located at Spring Lake Beach near the Eastern Lines surf shop. There are many pictures of the menu and bowls. This one is no different from other Playa Bowls. It is popular on a hot beach day so there usually is a line. We got the Nutella Açaí bowl and Coco Craze both of which were as expected. read more

Love this place! Will be going back tomorrow morning. The staff are super friendly and helpful, the whole vibe was very cute and insta-worthy as well as having an environmentally friendly streak! I got the aloha smoothie cause I love me some fruit smoothie and it was delicious and filling. read more

The wait was 45 minutes, maybe longer. There were only three people preparing the bowls and smoothies, for a long line of 20, waiting in the hot sun. There were 8 of us, including two young children. The smoothies were brought out 20 to 30 minutes earlier than the bowls. I left my family waiting in line and went to Mamalukes and was done before the others were served at Playabowls. Won't be back. read more

Absolutely unfortunately will not be coming back here. I placed an order online and received the order 1 hour 15 minutes past the time of order. The store is incredibly and dangerously understaffed and the young workers are very overwhelmed but also very slow. You can tell they do not have a strategic approach to handling peak summer hours as each worker was not tasked to do one particular thing. You can also tell the workers did not know the menu and kept looking at it to fill the bowls correctly. There needs to be an adult manager present otherwise any respect for this business will diminish with time. Not to mention the quality of the bowls coming out were awful, the bowls were half filled with minimal granola/fruit and the containers incredibly sticky from how they were chaotically making them. I absolutely will not be coming back here. read more

This bowl was incredible! Such a refreshing treat after a long day in the sun. The line took about 30 minutes but worth the wait! Such a cute spot! read more

I have been waiting at this playa bowls for 50+ minutes! They need a better system this is madness, they know it's crowded on the weekends and they don't have enough workers to serve everyone in a reasonable manner. Which means they should close at this rate I won't get my food till they close. There food was not worth the wait and if I was told the wait before hand I would nit have stayed. I saw employees sitting on the floor in there phones while there was 30 people standing in the store and waiting for there bowls. I will never be coming back to this playa bowls!! Servers were nice and respectful though. on top of all that the food was very sloppy and they were stingy. read more

My family loves playa and I think in the last 2 weeks, we have ordered at least 4 times. The one thing I wish they did do is that when you enter in your phone number they mention what rewards you have available. I would've been able to use a couple of them but I didn't realize I had them. Also my family had a negative experience on one of their visits as the employee working didn't seem to know exactly what they were doing at the register. Also we ordered 3 Bowls on a recent visit and the bowls were not filled as they usually are, only about 3/4th of the way. read more

Made me wait 1.5 hours for just 2 bowls. Yo make matters worse, they also got one of the bowls on ny order wrong.

Not sure why Yelp had this marked as closed, but we went today and really enjoyed what we got. Seeing the shop from the beach across the street, my wife and I started craving some acai bowls, so after packing things up for the day, we went in and ordered one to share. We decided on the Pura Vida bowl, which has granola, honey, blueberries, and strawberries. Every part of that bowl was great - the fruit was fresh, the granola was tasty, and the honey added some nice flavor to the acai. After that, we ordered a mango pineapple colada smoothie, which was delicious as well - not too sweet, but quite refreshing. I'd eaten poke for lunch so I didn't want it again, but I want to try their poke sometime. read more

Ordered 2 poke bowls. In the past there were many options. Now just 2. VERY small and premade. Rice was hard and the Salmon on my daughter's bowl was way undercooked (yes the bowl came with cooked not raw fish). Definitely not worth what they charge. Will not go back read more

I don't care if they comped me for life, I would never return. My husband said that the woman working said that he had "one minute to get out of the car and order". He was at the door, I got to the door in 20 seconds total approx. I love playa bowls. However I will not return to the one next to Dunkin' Donuts and 7-11. EVER. Young lady working suggested that the computers and cash register shut down at 8:00 PM on the dot sharp on a Saturday. They made my husband feel horrible, his words not mine. We would have went to the ice cream shop next-door, but we are so upset with the way that we were treated. I never write one star reviews. I have written the best of the best reviews, I will not stand for my husband being in an ice cream shop/ACAI bowl shop : literally five minutes before close, to be told that they closed in five minutes and that she would still serve him. She did not want to serve me apparently. I am not going to insult anyone. But how hard is it to put an Açaí pre-made mixture, with a few different mixing's of fresh fruit and peanut butter!!! That's so hard, that's understandable, maybe She should not have told him to come in within one minute before I got to the door in 20 seconds from the front of the store. I will not give any stars since I did not get to try a playa bowl. read more

This is the worst playa bowls I have ever been to. You wait for 30-45 minutes before they tell you they've issued you a refund and your order is not being made. They also won't tell you it's not being made unless you ask. They turn away customers and act as if they couldn't care less. Do not go to this playa unless you wanna be f****d around for 45 minutes and leave with nothing. read more

Had a delicious Poke Bowl from Playa Bowl for dinner with friends! I am generally really into the smoothie bowl stuff, but I was really feeling the Beets, brown rice, and avocado! This definitely left me feeling full and ready to hit more waves and for the ride home. It was a little bit big for me, which isn't a bad thing. I also felt like the beets made the bowl overall very sweet, so if you get this one, definitely take note! I will likely get their smoothie bowls again next time but I'm glad to know their poke bowls aren't bad. Service was satisfactory- fast and "pick up at counter" style so there's not much else to say about it. Seating was mainly outdoors and we got to people watch the boardwalk goers. It was an enjoyable time! Philly needs a playa bowls!! read more

i ordered online and it said it would be ready at around 1, when i then asked about it they said that they hadn't received it and then took a half an hour to have them finally make it and give it to me. i had friends who waited in line and got there's before me and even finished their bowls before i got mine. the service wasn't that great either and i had to call them more than 3 times to get their attention to even have them come over and help. read more

Lots of choices on the menu, but the quality is poor. My Matcha smoothie tasted like rotten banana, I didn't taste matcha in it at all.

The staff at this location is extremely friendly and generous. As I walked up to the register there was a young girl however she was so friendly and welcoming. The bowl that I had was so fresh and turned out so amazing. read more
