    Aloha Smoothie

So I got the Aloha smoothie on the left side. I wish I had something better to say when it came to it but it lacked flavors. I've had better. I don't know if maybe the staff did something different. The area to sit the long table was sticky and clearly paper straws was just left around.

    Playabowl on the beach!

I have had many bowls at many locations, but I have to say today my bowl was perfection! The perfect ratio of everything in every single bite. I had to go back to find out who made it. Her name is Daphne. I hope she makes all my future bowls!!! Delish!!!

First time going. Overwhelmed by the choices but finally made the decision to get the Almond Joy. Completely satisfied with my order. Everything was fresh and yummy. Service was kind and accommodating to my substitutions. Place was clean. Prices reasonable. I will be back.

On a rare Monday, my partner's family and I came to Asbury Park to illustrate what the Jersey Shore is all about. The boardwalk was clean and walking manageable. Atmosphere was refreshing with the ocean breeze. We gathered a thirst and decided to come to this establishment. There are 2 locations in Asbury Park - Cookman Ave and on the boardwalk. During the weekend depending on the time, the Playa Bowl on the boardwalk gets busy and the line full of patrons goes out to the door. We ordered a couple of smoothies (strawberry banana (strawberry banana, coconut milk) Aloha (banana, mango, pineapple, coconut milk). Though their selection is huge, we were a bit disappointed as the smoothies were tasteless. However, while waiting for our order, we'll try the bowls the next time as they looked delicious.

Delicious and fresh!!! We've tried playa bowls elsewhere so we had pretty good expectations and they were met! The açaí bowls are perfectly made, great selections, fresh and delicious! Their smoothies are also a great hit! Their summerade smoothie is mouth watering good! Definitely a great smoothie to try, we all enjoyed the refreshing taste with loads of flavor but not overwhelming. Their strawberry banana smoothies is also really good, we've had it before at another one of their locations and this one was right on point! They have all the perfect pairings for a hot summer day at the beach! Light but filling options all around!

Playa bowls was just okay. Service was a bit slow and the I didn't really love the flavors of the açaí bowl itself. The fruit on top was fresh and delicious though. Great idea to have one of these at the beach though! I'd return to try something different next time.

Playa bowl never disappoints me! So it was a no brainer when I went to the beach on Sunday and seen a location there that I would be having one for lunch. Delicious and you get the same experience and taste no matter what location you visit.

Love this place ! I had the Electric Mermaid Pitaya Bowl it was really tasty.

Really great place to grab something refreshing right on the beach. Prices are very responsable and they taste very yummy. I highly recommend!

Went twice, first time so good! Second time, served some lackluster leftovers melted because they were busy.

Had a great experience here while on the beach! Everyone was safe and wearing masks and they had a max # of people allowed inside to order. My playa bowl was Delicious!! I got a nutelloco and always enjoy it. A great light lunch idea while on the beach which is why the boardwalk location is perfect! A great size too. Their almond butter is to die for and I always add that too. Thank you playa bowls for a great experience as always!

Moving onto the actual service, waitress took the alcohol order at the same time as the food order; Boyfriend who used to work in high end food service said it's usually a bad sign. Was proven wrong, thankfully. Ordered the Yuzu drop, thought it would be more punchy but it was on point for yuzu. He got the eel dragon and firecracker rolls, I chose the bluefin tuna and salmon nigiri (with one unagi/eel, which I hated) We absolutely devoured our food, which is why there are no pictures attached to the review. The salmon was so buttery smooth, and the tuna was so meaty and flavorful, I ordered an extra helping as sashimi! IT IS THAT GOOD! Besides the banging baby at the other table (not the restaurant's fault) it was one of the best walk-in experiences I've had to date! Will definitely recommend and repeat visit!

The sushi is fresh and tasty, we enjoyed the seared scallop appetizer. My sushi (Tiger roll) was magnificent. The Yuzu lobster roll could have had a bit less rice in the roll but was otherwise very enjoyable. The combination of fish in this roll paired very nicely together. Taka has a vast menu with many options from appetizers to specialty sushi options. They provide alcoholic and non alcoholic mocktails for those of us not interested in consuming liquor.....the mocktails are fantastic. The only thing that made me rate 4 instead of 5 stars was the staff needs a bit of work on serving. We ordered an appetizer and were also given two additional small plates since we were sharing this item. When we were done with the appetizer our specialty sushi plates were bought out and the same server left the three empty plates from the appetizers on the table instead of removing them. Dessert was absolutely decadent and moist (I omitted the whipped cream since I don't like it) but the shortcake was perfect without it. I look forward to returning to Taka and trying more items on the menu.

The Elite Experience at Fins Bradley Beach was no different and enjoying a complimentary pumpkin pie smoothie was the best way to spend a late October day at the beach. The smoothie was a perfect blend of pumpkin flavor and I ordered mine with coconut milk, since I need to be dairy free. I love that they have that as an option. Even with coconut milk, the smoothie was SO CREAMY and really hit my thirsty mouth and hungry tummy spot. We'll be on the lookout for other seasonal flavors and will enjoy their classics. Everything is made fresh so they can be very accommodating on any modifications to your order. I am a very picky eater and a self-confessed worst vegan because I dislike many main vegan veggie fillers. Fins' veggie option is not pre-mixed, so if you do not like something, they can easily omit it from your order. It was so easy! The staff is extremely friendly and I was able to order inside with my dog and then enjoy the pumpkin pie smoothie and mexicali burrito at their outdoor tables, where leashed and friendly dogs are allowed. The storefront is right on Main Street and Brie said hello to every passerby in the area, but it can be a bit noisy due to traffic! We appreciate the staff bringing out a cup of water for her too! The restaurant has a great atmosphere with bright colors, island-style music, and they serve up surf-inspired food in a casual environment, all while being wallet-friendly. Burritos, tacos, salads, wraps, a special gluten-free menu, smoothies, and they even offer catering! They use the freshest and finest ingredients and care about the planet with biodegradable products, and also care about the community through donations. During the 30 minutes spending time here, the amount of customers walking-in blew my mind. This place is popular and for good reason! We plan to visit their other locations in Point Pleasant and Sea Girt.

The restaurant set up chairs outside on the little green and it was a very lovely ceremony. The reception was a 5 hour cocktail / appetizer hour and it was everything anyone could ever want. Let's be real - when you go to a wedding it's the cocktail hour that steals the show. Now imagine that for the entire night! It was fantastic! The passed around appetizers were delicious and the rotation changed frequently. From grilled cheese and tomato soup shooters (my favorite), to three different tiny corn tacos (sweet potato, fish, and pulled pork), to sliders, to sweet and sour chicken skewers, to lobster rolls, to SO MUCH MORE. All of it was incredible. The drinks were also delicious. The bartenders, waiters, and waitresses were so very nice and accommodating. I went to grab a coffee from the coffee station and one of the servers told me he could make me a latte so of course I had to have one. The food didn't take too long to come out and the portions were good but the taste was just okay. We did experience a couple missing items (side of avocado and chimichurri) and brought this to the server's attention. For the chimichurri, we were told that it didn't come with the steak because they didn't have it anymore so they didn't include it in our meal. We should have been told this before the food came out or even right after it was set on the table. We were offered a replacement sauce (pico de gallo) just to find out that it cost extra and had to explain that it should be free as a replacement to the chimichurri. The manager was able to comp the pico and apologized. At the end of the meal, I was also surprised to not receive any acknowledgement that I was celebrating my birthday (which I marked on the reservation). Once I received the receipt, I noticed that we were also charged extra for the missing side of avocado and an extra sauce. This was not disclosed to us prior. I can see why this place would be popular due to the atmosphere but the food and service here would not have me coming back.
