Love it but limited menu

I don't like to leave a bad review for a place, but they deserve it. Customers beware. I was at their boardwalk location and we ordered 1 juice and 1 smoothie. The juice we ordered had 4 ingredients, total: carrot, celery, spinach, and parsley. After we paid, I stood at the counter to see the juice guy add the ingredients to the juicer: First, the celery, followed by 3 carrots. Then, he put a lid on the cup, turned around, and called out the name of the order. Only 2 of the 4 advertised ingredients were in the presented order. Upon seeing this, we informed him that we didn't see any parsley added. At this confusion, he called over someone who seemed to be more in charge. She asked what the problem was, and we proceeded to tell her that there was no parsley or spinach added to the juice as it's advertised on their menu. Her response? We're out of those ingredients today. If THAT'S the case, why not inform me when I placed my order, or BEFORE I paid, or before you accepted money on a transaction knowing that this order would not be correctly made? We found this fraudulent and dishonest. We had given our business to this place before, but will no longer if management doesn't reach out. What a shame. read more

What in the... came in here on a whim because I wanted a snack, and juice sounded good. I got "The Green" juice, which is spinach, celery, cucumber, and apple. I guess I should have been skeptical of a 16 oz. juice for $6, when all my fave places in Manhattan are like $8+, but I went with it. WHAT THE. First of all, who puts ice cubes in a freshly-squeezed juice? I have never seen this before. I don't want my green juice watered down, thank-you-very-much. The juice, which took the employee about 30 seconds to make, was watered down in general, even before the addition of ice cubes. Second of all, HOLY CELERY. I hate celery, but I'll usually tolerate it in a juice blend because the taste is very subtle in a well-made juice. But this may as well have been celery juice. Yuck, yuck, yuck. I couldn't taste any of the other flavors. Maybe some of the other things t Juice Beach are worth ordering, but I would NOT return just judging by the nasty juice I had. Do not order. read more

I purchased the 3 day juice cleanse for $150.00. Three days of no eating, just smoothies and raw juice. The smoothies were pretty good, however, they were not blended well. The raw juice was plain gross! I drank a ton of water like I was told to, so I was constantly urinating. Other than that, I lost about 7 lbs which was most likely water weight. I did not see any other health changes at all. I was hungry and had a headache day 1 and 2 and by day 3, I couldn't wait to eat!! I really hate to give any business in Asbury Park less than 4 stars, but in this case it's warranted. Went here on a Monday for lunch. For two of us (two sandwiches, a soup and a soda), the total was $30.00. This is just crazy, especially for lunch. To top it off, the food is very mediocre. I had a veggie wrap which was mushy and had way too much hummus on it (which tasted store-bought). The soup my husband had was flavorless and lacked any seasoning. Love having a healthy option on the beach! They have a large selection of smoothies and juices. A lot of the smoothies had dairy though which limits the selection of smoothies for those who avoid dairy. It's also on the pricier side-$8 for a juice is a little high. read more

I had a really good experience here. The woman behind the counter who I believe was the owner or at least a manager was really knowledgeable and patient with me as I came in looking to get my first ever green juice. I started with a Hot Shot, which had cayenne pepper and a bunch of other healthy stuff, I don't remember what. But it was invigorating. Then the woman suggested a Green Blast for me, which has spinach, celery, cucumber, apple and lemon. I really liked it! I've tried bottled green juices before and found them to be gross. She did put extra apple and lemon in it for me, but I actually enjoyed the taste of the vegetable juice. I do like to eat vegetables by the way, but like I said, have been put off by veggie juice. I'm sure this juice having been freshly made also made a huge difference of course. I plan to eventually go back for their three day juice cleanse. Fifty bucks a day for six juices per day. Still kind of expensive in my opinion, but apparently a good deal for that kind of thing. Will definitely go back. read more

Juice Zone operates on the ground floor of Pure Health. Juice Zone offers a complete juice menu, a sufficient lunch roster and some breakfast choices. Juice can be made as you wish: no problems. A selection of delicious and well-made wraps/panninis are available. I was very impressed with my "mediterranean" on flatbread: super easy to eat. The staff at Pure Health are very attentive and easy-going, making your visit pleasurable and worthy of your time. Table service is informal, yet worthy of a tip. The second floor offers massages, skin care and yoga. This was a great alternative to the sleep-inducing, large-portioned, classic american style breakfast that I had set out to find. read more

Went with my kids this week and loved it so much, we went back the next day. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and so helpful. They knew their whole menu and which ingredients were allergy safe, vegan, gluten free, etc. We had acai bowls, Stupid Cupids, lentil soup, and tomato basil soup. All delicious. Excellent service, excellent food, great vibe in the store. We don't live nearby but will be back whenever we're in the area visiting family. You ladies rock! read more

This was the worst experience for my daughter. She requested a smoothie and asked if they used any nut products. She is highly allergic to nuts. The server assured her that there was a nut free container being used and there would be no nut products used. Immediately my daughter had a severe allergic reaction and was rushed to the emergency room I would like to give them negative stars but I can't undo the star given. They do not train their staff sufficiently and after alerting management of the situation they showed no concern or remorse. read more

I grabbed a smoothie here last weekend. It was incredible. It was a "breakfast" smoothie, containing bananas, strawberries, blueberries, honey, granola, and chocolate almond milk. It was just amazing, and a great meal replacement. That being said, I would be wary of ordering the non-juice, non-smoothie, non-shake food at this place. The bags of vegan balls in the glass display case were completely covered in filthy green and white mold. When I saw that waiting in line, I almost bailed out. What a great alternative to all the other standard unhealthy boardwalk fare! Was there for a walk on the boardwalk with my teenage nieces and we all got something different. Nice place and very friendly. Delicious vegetarian wrap with avocado. Very filling. Green tea was delicious and she squeezed in fresh lemon for me and my friend got agave syrup, but a little pricey for bagged tea, though a lot less than the juices.Don't know about the juices as we stopped in for food. Two sandwiches and two teas for $20. Overall very happy and will be happy to return when I can. Too bad the hours are so short, but at least opened daily. They have selections that are vegetarian, gluten free, and various proteins as well. The smoothies and juices are very tasty. The owner Cathy is an absolute sweet heart! And to the people that think it's expensive, have you gone grocery shopping lately? Are you aware of the price of quality produce and other foods that are healthy? Probably not. I went to this shop's location on the boardwalk for a salad The lines were long,which might be a sign of a good business- or so I thought. The employees were all young except for an older woman who was so condescending to customers and barking orders at the kids who were working there. As it took a while for my salad, I watched the kids reporting they had run out of ingredients on many orders. One poor girl tried over and over to get the attention of this woman because the juicer wasn't working correctly. The woman yelled at her in front of customers" when you see something is wrong you don't keep going" Then told complaining customers they were waiting because the kid messed up and she didn't know about it. As for my salad, the top was fresh but the bottom layer was all wilted. I asked for dry salad-no dressing. The top was dry and bottom had dressing. Made me feel like they put fresh lettuce over a leftover salad. Be careful if you go-watch how they make your items. As for that older woman, I have learned you don't earn respect from your employees by treating them badly. read more

I had the worst acai bowl ever at this place. It was absolutely inedible and I threw it away after a few bites. They should not offer acai bowls because they do not know how to properly make them. They had no toppings to go on the bowls such as fresh fruit and the whole thing was basically still frozen. It wasn't blended in any way and a big scoop of peanut butter just placed on top of it did nothing to help. Absolutely disgusting. Friendly, fast service. Awesome acai bowls. The Nutella and tropical bowls are so good. They also have smoothies. This place is great.

The breakfast shake is the best!!!! Almond milk, granola, peanut butter & blueberries! To die for. Worth every penny and always fills me up!
