I visited this location during their last Tent Sale a month or so ago. The prices are good on some merchandise, but really over the top on others. You definitely want to know your product price points when shopping here. You can find some bargains at their tent sales if you're an extreme size (really, really big or really really tiny) but you're hard pressed to find bargains in the common sizes unless the item is defective or damaged. The customer service is OK. I found a bridle at the tent sale without a price. There was an empty bag with a price in the same bin. I asked the girl who was working the tent if the bridle belonged in that bag and she said, "I don't know" and walked away. I thought she was going to find someone to answer the question. When I ran into her a few minutes later, I asked if she had found out if the bridle went in that bag and was the price correct. "No, you'll have to go inside." It would have been nice if she'd said that the first time I asked.

I bought a pair of Simple brand shoes, made form bamboo and silk, among other things. To be honest, many of the styles were a little too granola for me, but not to the point that I couldn't find something comfortable and cute for me to wear. What I liked, I really liked. Even my boyfriend found a pair of casual sneakers (Tevas) that he liked, and I got a pair of white Campers on sale. It's connected in the middle to a clothing store that has a lot of eco-cotton-modal fabric. It can be chic looking if worn right, but it's damn comfortable regardless. If I was preggers, I'd definitely hit this store up, but even in my non-pregnant state I could appreciate many items. Flowy cotton summer dresses that breathe sound really good about now, anyway.

Everyone is not particularly excited to go to work EVERY day. However, it seemed that she did not care to help me as well. I am new to the area so, I purchased despite my discomfort in the store. I was sort of properly dressed, but I forgot my gloves and I forgot my boots. I was gonna pop in to see if I can buy some gloves, but I noticed they also had boots. I know winter boots can be expensive. That's a given, but the gloves.. HOLY SMOKES!!! some of the gloves were $70 just for swishy sounding mittens and gloves. I ended up getting a pair. I think they were like 40 bucks but they were on sale. It was hard to find my size because UNFORTUNATELY my dad gave me his big old prizefighting mitts, but I found a pair of mittens just like I wanted. But I understand the high price it's all about demand. This place is conveniently located for people like myself who can't stay organized and remember the things that they need to take on trips. I didn't end up skiing, but I did go tubing. The next trip up I'll make sure I'm prepared but I'm glad that place was there when I needed some gloves.

The staff were really knowledgeable and patient with us as we took over 45 minutes to decide on the 13 different pieces. Due to the pandemic we haven't shop as much. At the register they carefully checked for items that should be for sale for us and ordered a different size for a jacket to be shipped directly to San Francisco. They recommend several pieces that we normally wouldn't have picked out and this was really a godsend since we have a shop for a while and were in a time crunch . Highly recommend this place due to the friendly service and the professional knowledge they have.

However I have stopped in a couple times recently for a new pair of dress shoes for my husband and then a couple weeks later for pair of shoes for myself to wear to a wedding. They have really nice, high quality italian-made men's leather dress shoes. They are expensive but you can find good sales on them occasionally still, and they will last you. He's very happy with his. There's always plenty on the sales rack, so especially if you don't shop often like me, you can probably find something cute and in your size in their sale section. They don't do the best job at keeping this sales section looking clean, organized up to brand standards (I know because I worked a couple years at a BR back in the day). I've found the customer service at this location hit or miss, sometimes seeming very cold even when we're asking for help/looking for someone who can assist us, and other times they are friendly and fine, so I think it depends who's working.

However, more recently I've become a big Puma fan which they do carry but are little lackluster on sizes available. I however got lucky today & each pair I wanted had 1 of my size left. Rack Room could use some more size availability as well as overall styles in general, see a lot of the same shoes on the shelves for years. In the end if you need a new pair of shoes or 2 Rack Room is your Best Buy.

I contacted Todd and dropped it off the next day. In only a few days I picked up the bike FULLY ASSEMBLED and was given a 10 minute presentation by Todd on how to proper use the LED and proper start up of the bike. Todd even informed that he would provide free checkups as well as free pickup and delivery in Charlottesville. One doesn't find that service much anymore. The bonus was that final cost was less than Todd quoted and the bike works great. This guy knows bikes and I highly recommend Todd and BASIC CYCLES!
