Extremely hard working, PROFESSIONAL and super easy to work with!!! And not to mention.. they can take a joke!! Since our move day was on April fools day- I decided to prank them a lil... Robbie was very timely- called me just before 9a (our scheduled time) to let me know that he was almost to my place with his freshly fueled up moving truck and fully staffed crew... Ha! I decided to act surprised and pretended like I had no idea it was move day... "Wait, I thought you were moving me next weekend?!!! "Sorry, I have nothing ready"... it was priceless.. Robbie handled it so well- politely reminding me that it was indeed move day- I kept playing dumb; he was trying to give me the benefit of the doubt (while probably secretly wanting to strangle me ;) .. But eventually, after this went on with him wanting to check our estimate, I finally said oh gosh guess you're right.. April fools!! AND after having a near heart attack, he laughed and pulled it together to get started.. said I got him good! Rest of the move went super smooth! Omg- these guys really know what they're doing!! Robbie was so sweet and knowledgeable- he gave me a complete game plan for the move ahead of time. Told my girls they could sleep in their beds the night before and he would just place all their bedding in wardrobe boxes; same for me. He also packed up all our closet clothing, shoes, linens and the best part for me- we got leave all our clothing in the dressers- so convenient and made unpacking so easy! I have a lot of experience with other moving companies and I honestly have never seen such efficiency. I hate moving and they made it not a miserable experience for me. Robbie's leadership and oversight was flawless. He personally handled all aspects of my move and was there from start to finish. I found out why things went so smoothly- he provides his crew with strict protocols and methods that are standardized for every move, to protect and move each piece safely. The Platinum Movers is a group of professionals. They are on time, well prepared, experienced and kind. On time: our moving time was very tight and the other movers were delayed more than four hours and we had to look for another moving service. We were introduced to The Platinum Movers by our family friend. The Platinum crew came in an hour and started to work right away! Well Prepared: The Platinum Movers came with a HUGE track, blankets to cover furniture, vinyl wrap and boxes. They took all of the waste into the truck. Then, put furniture and household items that needed to be in a metal moving container separately at the same time. We finished clearing up the property much faster than the original plan because of this quick and flexible well prepared work. Experienced: we asked Rob how we can safely wrap some fragile items that need to be delivered by a big metal moving container for a long distance. Rob said,"Okay, let me see". After we arrived home, we found everything was fine and well, including light stands and light bulbs. Kind: The Platinum Movers were friendly and introduced their name at the beginning and started to work right away. They even let us use some plastic wrap when we were wrapping some pictures. We did not find any major mess in the rooms and street after they left. They accepted the credit card, gave us a clear explanation and gave us a receipt. I genuinely cannot say enough good things about Platinum Movers. I used them for my move from Santa Barbara to Orange County, and they exceeded every expectation from start to finish. When I called Platinum Movers the owner Robert was very helpful and knowledgeable about what I would need in order to complete my move. I have a couple of BIG items that in order to move I would be needing a crane for. Robert explained to me the process of which I would need to take in order to move all my belongings safely and he also was upfront and completely HONEST with me stating that even though he would very much like to be the one who moves me he just did not have the resources(crane) to complete my move. Robery did not try to sell me on any bull**** reasons of what else he could do for me but told me upfront what I needed and also referred me to a moving company that could complete my move. I have never come across a moving company who gave me such honesty and who refers business to other companies. Usually the company will try to sell me on reasons why they are the best and try to keep my business even if it means destroying my property in the process. But not Robert and Platinum Movers. He simply broke down exactly what I needed to move and explained in detail why he was not able to accomodate me. For just the honesty alone I give Robert and Platinum Movers 5 stars. Unfortunately, I will not be having Platinum Movers moving my belongings due to my oversize items. But if I ever have to move again I will definitely be choosing Robert and Platinum Movers. We had a 300 pound glass cabinet to get moved into the house. I'm pretty capable, handy too, but: No way I was going to freelance this one! My lovely Diane did a quick Yelp search, something we do often to find the best, and she did. She found Platinum Movers, and Robert. He drove up to our home after work one evening to see the cabinet and the layout to give us an accurate quote. It wasn't hard for three guys and a one-hour minimum. This is a fair estimate, and left room for us to fully unpack it, and ask them to carry off the two pallets and some of the bulky packing materials. Robert and I agreed to a price quickly and he waited for the delivery to happen, gave us a heads-up call before they showed up, and we were off and running. They were smart, careful, STRONG and easy to deal with. This heavy and delicate (the first one we were shipped arrived damaged from the seller!) cabinet landed in the house without any stress or incidents. Felt feet pads too. They helped clean up, took the pallet and sub-pallets and the bulky packing materials for us, and we were done. Smooth, easy, fair and quick. We would recommend them to anyone. When I received a quote from Platinum Movers for my move from Santa Barbara to San Diego, I knew it was too low and I would be charged more at the end. I have a lot of stuff. I think an in-person assessment would have led to more accuracy. That being said, Eric, Taylor and Vince were amazing. I couldn't believe how much they fit on the truck - even though I did have to leave some pots with plants behind - and how well they worked together. They were so kind, professional, efficient and hard-working. They packed up things that were not in boxes and needed to be - they wrapped furniture with blankets and bubble wrap. They worked for a solid five hours (at least) on each end plus the drive. I was exhausted FOR them by the end of the move. I had A LOT of glassware, crystal, plates, platters and glass picture frames. Not a single thing was broken. This was my first move that, 1. nothing was broken and 2. nothing was "lost." Besides anything else all three guys were lovely human beings. I highly recommend using Platinum. read more

We called Platinum Movers in February to come give us an estimate after reading all the good reviews on Yelp. After Rob came to our home to give us a quote we were so impressed we canceled a meeting we had set up with another moving company. In March as moving day drew closer we texted Rob to see if it was possible to move us earlier since there were hints at that time of possible business closures. He texted us back that afternoon and said they could move us the next day. We were very thankful and because of that we were still able to have Cox come into our new home and install our cable system before that was discontinued. They showed up promptly and did a beautiful job wrapping everything. The crew hustled but were very careful at the same time. They were also great about listening to us explain where we wanted the furniture to go and they cleaned up after themselves before they left. We can't recommend them highly enough. The move was successful, they showed up on time and ready to go as promised. They did a great job of wrapping all the furniture and disassembling everything. When i got to the new house and started putting everything away, i realized a desk was missing. After inquiring about it and not being able to figure out what happened, Rob offered to pay for it to make it right. That speedy gesture to correct the problem showed that they really care, that meant a lot. Make sure they do a thorough estimate. Mid way through packing the truck they were worried it wouldn't all fit. Rob said he didn't realize how much was stuffed into the closets and how mush outdoor stuff there was. They were ultimately able to stuff everything in one truck and make it work, thus avoiding needing a second trip or second truck. I recently moved and felt overwhelmed by the process. I have lots of large furniture and handmade items that I am protective over and after my last moving experience with a hired company my anxiety was high. I couldn't imagine a move going more smoothly than it did with Platinum Movers. Robert set up our move within a few hours of my call, and at a very fair rate. I moved from SB to the Bay Area to begin a new job, and Sam and Jeff, were kind and courteous, and very careful with our belongings. This was a very challenging move: we were moving into a third-floor walk up in a busy SF neighborhood, and the timing of the move required that Sam and Jeff arrive at rush hour. They had to circle the block while moving (!), and yet still had everything moved into our apartment in about 2 hours. Great guys, great team. I had a relatively small moving job that was estimated to take only about 2 hours. Platinum was the only company that had less than a 3 hour minimum so the quote was far less than others were bidding for the job. There was an unforeseen/unavoidable circumstance that circumvented the schedule but Robert called me as soon as he knew of it and made calls to arrange for another moving company to handle my job for the same quoted price. He went the extra mile to make sure my job was covered even though it was probably one of the smaller jobs his company handles. The owner had a crew and truck at my office within an hour and they got right to business after I showed them exactly what needed to be moved. Upon arrival, we all discovered our Pods container door would not open. The three guys on the job worked tirelessly to open it. Then the owner and his crew drove over from another job to help out. All six guys didn't give up and it finally opened. We wasted a lot of time on the Pod and the guys were well aware we were paying by the hour and were kind enough to let us know they would try to get everything unloaded quickly. I was happy with the service. Rob provided a no fuss quote which was great and was really flexible with moving date and time. The only thing I was surprised about was the charges one the guy calculated in the end. It was fuzzy but I was tired and I liked the way they cared for our property and took extra measures to secure aspects to prevent damages. So I just paid what he asked. I would hire them again if needed but discuss costs upfront more. Vinny was great! very respectful, and intuitive.
