Mammoth Moving was amazing moving a very heavy diving suit inside Santa Barbara Maritime Museum and with no damage to the floor and with efficiency and care. The team of 3 were very easy to communicate with and very professional. They are by far the best movers we have ever experienced. TOP NOTCH in every way. read more

When my elderly mom moved from Santa Ynez to Solvang in 2019 after my dad died, she used Mammoth Moving & Storage. They packed everything, nothing was damaged, and she was extremely happy with their service. Fast forward to 2026. We lived in Simi Valley and were moving to Minden, NV. We knew we wanted Mammoth. Originally spoke to Walter who was knowledgeable and patient. He said it would cost more since they had to come down to Simi, which we appreciated knowing, but we had our minds made up. Didn't even call another company for an estimate. Walter came down to assess our stuff (and we had a lot of stuff!) in order to give an accurate quote. And he was prompt when answering texts with questions I had. On moving day, Walter called to let us know when to expect the movers. Upon their arrival, they introduced themselves, were friendly, polite, and clean, effectively wrapped and packed the items we hadn't already packed, and nicely said their good-byes upon leaving. Walter called afterward to make sure we were happy. On deliver day, Walter texted, and the driver (whom we met in Simi) called, to let us know his estimated arrival time. The rest of the crew was hired from up here, and they, too, were friendly, polite, and clean. Upon completion, each one sought us out to say good-bye. I've unpacked about 3/4 of the boxes and so far, all items were delivered unscathed. I'd heard horror stories about moving companies and movers, but I can confidently say that is not our story. From the quote, to the packing, ending with the delivery, they were professional, communicative, and caring. I wholeheartedly recommend Mammoth Moving & Storage. read more

Had a great experience with Mammoth Moving. They worked quickly and efficiently and had great attitudes!

Great moving service! Came on time, loaded everything quickly. Stored my stuff for a couple of months and brought it to me in my new home. Thanks read more

Couldn't be more pleased with the company and the move. Walter was able to quote the move sight unseen and was extremely accurate. Pricing was easy to understand and fair. He was a real pro. Very patient as the move date changed a couple of times and very communicative. A pleasure to deal with. The movers did a really nice job on both ends. Good guys. Very efficient, respectful and careful. I strongly recommend Mammoth Moving! read more

We were fine with Mammoth and Sean during the planning process of our move out of state. The packers and movers were all fine. It's after we arrived that our problems began. We saw that the freezer door on our refrigerator was badly damaged as well as additional scratches on one of the other doors. We were disappointed that full coverage for the damages was not covered, especially when the lead mover said he remembered it happening when they moved the refrigerator through the front door at our old home. He never said a word to us about it at the time. We are only getting a fraction back to get what we can fixed. With the cost of the move from CA to Oregon at over $22,000. we were not looking forward to the high cost of the repair. I would make sure if you hire Mammoth that you get all the info clear concerning reimbursement for damages. read more

I highly recommend Mammoth Movers in Santa Barbara, Ca. We called on a Friday and spoke with Walter. He set up a moving truck for the next day to help us move large furniture to the Santa Ynez area. The driver Ricky and his assistant Leonard were highly efficient, knowledgeable, friendly and extremely courteous. I recommend Mammoth Moving for all of your moving needs. read more

I have worked with Mammoth Moving for almost 15 years with business/equipment related moves and they have always performed above and beyond expectations. We hired them to perform our personal move and as usual they were professional and completed the move in 1/2 the quoted time. read more

Mammoth Moving made our lives so much easier with our recent corporate office move. Sean came by our old office for an initial meeting to see what we needed, helped us strategize the best plan to get everything ready to go for the big day, and even offered to drop off moving supplies. Once everything was safely packed up in the moving boxes and foam provided by mammoth, their movers arrived on time and were very efficient, professional, and friendly. They moved everything up to our new 3rd floor office, navigating narrow staircases, without any damage to our items. They organized the boxes exactly as instructed in our new space which made unpacking much easier and even helped us move a few of the larger furniture pieces around the room. Seriously impressed and happy we chose to work with Mammoth! Huge thank you to everyone who was involved in our move :) read more

Thank you for making our move fast and easy. I would recommend them to others. Plus they had used moving boxes so we didn't have to buy any. read more

Recently our Condo Association advised us that our upstairs balcony and walkway was going to be resurfaced. Years of accumulated pots, patio furniture, and my lifelong rock collection, many over fifty pounds, had to be moved. I called Mammoth Moving. Not the biggest job for them but they treated me so. Walter in the office arranged two movers and rolling carts to hold my items. They then wheeled them into my carport to store until the move back upstairs which was two weeks later. Each time on the day prior to the move, the owner Sean, made a personal call to me to confirm time and if I had any special requests. Looking back over the last forty plus years, Mammoth Moving has been there for us during eight full house moves including when we moved to our condo. They are a tradition of quality and professional service! read more

Terrible experience with Mammoth. I preface this by saying I have nothing against the movers themselves, just employees probably making under 3x less than what they charge per hour, and nice guys. Items intact, also. So I get a "quote" for a local Goleta move from a 2 bedroom apartment (1,000 sqft), 5 minutes from pickup to delivery location, all within Goleta. 140/hr is the "quote." Everything had already been boxed up and disassembled by me in advance. I even took a lot of stuff downstairs in advance, safe for larger stuff. So I figure 2 hrs tops. Nope! 4 hrs. To start, they arrive 1hr after the close of the window they gave me, which I took off from work. From the time of arrival, to the time they loaded the 1st item, about 20 minutes had passed--and that item was wrapped up AFTER it was put on the truck, for some reason. Luckily the item was fine. They make me pay for their drive from the previous job. OK, I guess. Then I have to pay for the time they take to fold their moving blankets and clean up their truck. Then pay for their drive to where they keep the trucks also... And they took a few mins break--fine. So at least $140 was for their drive to and from +break, +fold blanets--again, I'm in Goleta. Insane. Never hired movers before. Probably won't hire Mammoth again. So the "quote" I got originally, when I described the move and items, was the hourly rate. That's not a quote. I never would have imagined paying nearly 600 on movers for between two Goleta locations for a 2bdrm apartment. Ridiculous. If I had been quoted 600 when I called, I would have gone with another service. Really unethical business practices. read more

This review is overdue, only because we just got settled into our new home and have finally weeded through all the boxes that were put into storage from the end of last year. Sean and his amazing group packed up everything in our home in Santa Ynez Valley then moved some of it into storage and some to a temporary rental where we were staying while waiting to move into our permanent new home. They were always on time, respectful, easy to communicate with, and were very careful while packing up all our items, big and small. Every box was clearly labeled and not one item arrived damaged or destroyed. If we could give Sean and his team from Mammoth 6 stars we would. This is a fantastic moving company and we highly recommend them! read more

The Mammoth Team has been and will continue to be my go to movers. They've always taken away the stress of moving. All of my furniture and valuable Items were meticulously wrapped and maneuverd to my new home. The best part was no damage to walls or hard word floors during the move. Hard working and courteous crew. read more

I am house manager for a couple who moved from a very large home in Santa Barbara to 2 different residences in Michigan. With lots of unusual requests on my part, and needing exact dates for load and unload, Sean did everything in his power to meet my needs, and went above and beyond to make this whole process smooth and easy.. and any questions I had were answered with only a text message away with a response almost immediately! Then there are his employees. By far the best bunch of guys I have yet to work with!! Extremely meticulous, polite and worked above expectation in extremely warm humid temperatures for Santa Barbara. They barely stopped, only to eat quickly and get back at it... happily, I might add. They were, every single one of them very polite and insisted that I let them handle the job and to relax.... wow!! Yes, I would recommend this company to anyone any day!!!!! Best experience ever!!! I will definitely use them again, if the need arises... no doubt in my mind!!! Thank you MAMMOTH MOVING and Sean Ebertz and all the awesome hard working guys that made this whole experience super easy and almost fun!!! YOU ROCK!!! read more

We were thrilled with Mammoth Moving on all accounts. Sean was awesome and worked with my budget. We were able to pick up used boxes from Mammoth as well, so we could pack ahead of time. On moving day, Robert and Devanté were amazing! Robert called when they were on their way from the warehouse so we knew they were coming. Both of them were kind, courteous, and very hard workers. We couldn't have done it without them! I highly recommend Mammoth and we had a great experience read more

We were recommended to try Mammoth by a competitor who did not have the resources to take care of our large move. Mammoth was a little slow to give us the estimate we needed in the format we could fully understand, but after that hiccup did a superb job to take care of a major job. The contents of the 14,000 square foot house had to be separated into separate consignments for 4 different destinations, but everything arrived at the proper location. There was an immense amount of packing required, but Mammoth's many friendly packers over many days were careful & efficient in professionally handling the task at hand. Nothing broke in the move; in fact, our only complaint might be that they over-protected some of the items (eg reams of packing paper for a number of unbreakable things like pens & pencils, CDs, cutlery, cutting boards, etc, which took countless hours to unwrap). Sean & his team took very good care of us overall, hence the 5-star recommendation. read more

Warning!!! Youngsters who are incoherent so don't let them touch your stuff. Dumb as door nails and way over priced. If you have anything of value that you care about it. read more

My last review of Mammoth was for our move from Santa Barbara to San Francisco. This time it's for our move back down from SF. Another five-star job. Moving from SF is not easy as there is limited parking and lots of traffic. The guys did a great job and even dealt with our 48 stair walk-up. All items delivered as scheduled with no damage. Highly recommended. read more

I hired Mammoth Movers recently for my move from Goleta to Oregon. Ricky gave me excellent customer service and Evan (bless his heart) loaded, drove and unloaded my stuff. These guys are great and I thought they were very reasonable priced, actually their bid came in lower than the other companies I contacted. Thanks Mammoth Movers! read more

The Mammoth Team receives all Hardsurface pallet, and Carpet roll deliveries for my flooring business. We receive very large deliveries throughout the week, sometime 6+ per day, and either Sean or someone from his staff is always ready and available to make sure these valuable materials are in proper condition, and come off safely. They label, catalogue, and organize our materials in preparation of my crews arrival to pick up day of installation. It's a very organized operation, and is a very important part of keeping my jobs moving smoothly. Thanks Mammoth! read more

I utilized Mammoth Moving for relocation from Santa Barbara to Orange County. Colin came out to the house for an in-person price quote the same day that I inquired about the move, and he provided details on all the costs. They easily accommodated my planned packing and moving schedule. The movers (Marlon, Peter, and Sean) were fantastic, showed up on time each morning, and packed everything with care, resulting in zero broken items. Upon delivery, they even offered to assemble bed frames and other furniture items, something I didn't expect at all. The final billing actually came in below our initial price quote, which was a welcome surprise. Overall had a great experience and would highly recommend to others. read more

Reliable, professional, and reasonable price. The best experience I've ever had for moving.

Sean and his crew are awesome! I called them for a rather unique sort of job on Father's Day just a few days before. We needed them to move about 10 pieces of a very large and heavy (500lbs+) set piece from Santa Barbara to be brought to LA for filming, and then taken back to Santa Barbara, about a 12 hour day. Sean didn't even bat an eye at the unusual request and even made sure that we got some camera-ready movers who agreed to be on camera. He answered all of the questions the owner of the set piece had about transporting, and was courteous and profession the entire time. Much love to everyone at Mammoth for making this office assistant look good in front of her supervisors! :) read more

Can't say enough about the way our move was handled. All the young men were courteous and well spoken. Arrived within a few minutes of scheduled time and they all stuck to the job at hand, moving our office belongings from an upstairs space in Santa Ynez to another upstairs space in Los Olivos. All articles arrived at their new location unscathed. Many KUDOS to them - even more so as it wasn't a gloomy overcast day which would have been ideal - instead - quite warm at low to mid 80's. 100% satisfied! read more

Mammoth Moving is really a 10 STAR company!!! This was a difficult move for me, as I left Santa Barbara, CA to live in the Seattle area. From my 1st meeting with Sean to the final day of the move with Evan in charge, these gentlemen were professional, kind, gentle, extremely dependable and took great care with my belongings. They actually arrived before I did and had everything ready to go the moment I pulled into town. I hope that if you have to move you'll consider using Mammoth Moving......you won't regret it! Best out there! Most recommended moving company for residential and commercial!

While out of the country I purchased an antique at the Bonham's auction in Hollywood by bidding on-line. When I received notice I had won the item I was also given a deadline of two days to pick it up, impossible for me since I was still out of the country. I contacted Sean at Mammoth and on my behalf he made numerous calls to Bonhams arranging to send a man and a truck to pick up the antique. Thanks! read more

If your looking for a moving company look no further. Our experience with Mammoth Moving and storage was excellent. They arrived prompt and set to. Our two movers Peter and Marcel were extremely professional and courteous, they live by their team mammoth motto. Very impressive!! We were moving our two bedroom home into storage and I did not think it would all fit. Not only did they pack it so well that it fit, we had room to spare ! I had been dreading the whole moving thing, but thanks to Colin the sales manager everything went incredibly smoothly ! Would highly recommend! read more

Tricky move with large truck from home in Santa Barbara to upstairs apartment in L.A...and it was raining! But Colin and his excellent crew of 2 were professional, careful and went the "extra mile" during my 2-day move. I was especially concerned about the safety of my 7+ foot glass china hutch & the "impossible" route they had to haul it upstairs over the back railing of my patio, but they did it without a hitch. The two men doing the actual moving (wish I could remember their names, but it's been 8 months!) were fantastic; they not only brought up all my furniture and boxes, but even set up my wooden queen bed foundation so I could sleep that night on my bed! I can't say enough about how great they were. And the price was right. Sorry it took me so long to get around to writing this review! Kim T.P. read more

The team from Mammoth Moving was outstanding and totally professional. They knew how to carefully handle and pack all of our fragile and precious furniture, art, antiques, and other items, many sentimental, and they were a joy to work with (easily some of the nicest and most respectful people we've met). They packed two households (my mother's and ours) the week of Thanksgiving, in Santa Barbara County, and delivered everything in one piece to Washington State. They had creative solutions to the some of the problems we encountered during our move. Mammoth Moving was worth every penny we paid; our final cost was within the range we were quoted. Our sincerest thanks to Sean, who was always reachable and responsive as our moving schedule kept shifting; Pat and Evan who drove the trucks and put our furnishings back together, and the California crew-Nate, Brandon, Jesse, Vinnie, Paul, and Cody. The crew that did the unpacking--James, Ray, James (Junior), and Ken on the Washington end--were also very good. When we move again, we will absolutely engage Mammoth Moving. read more

We had the worst experience ever! The move into storage went smoothly until we were given a receipt with charges amounting to $100 more than what was quoted. They said they had "behind the scenes" charges that we don't witness!! Why was this not up front until they had everything in the storage vault, at that point you have no choice but to pay. The move out of storage was a nightmare to schedule with the office staff. They were angry rude and extremely difficult! They are closed Sundays and open only 8 to 12 on Saturdays. Most people try to move weekends. If they do not want to work weekends they should not be in the business of moving and storage. Collin in the front office behaves like an angry pit bull barking at his customers. His customer service skills are nonexistent! The only bright spot was the actual movers. The guys doing the labor. They were fast, friendly and efficient. Thank you to Trevor, Allen, and Mark. BEWARE!! Do business with this company at your own risk!! read more
