This was a "half-move" -- we were moving from our temporary residence back into our home after a renovation, so we only had about a 15' U-Haul worth of stuff. This was just about perfect for Man with a Van. But the best part was the employees (I wish I had asked their names, but moving day left me scatterbrained) -- they were efficient, attentive, really went the extra effort in getting our stuff safely into our house, quickly disassembling a few pieces that were now too large to fit into our new doors (I got them out, and never thought there'd be such trouble getting them back in). I'd say combine that great service with the competitive pricing, and this is the company for your move assist/small move/hauling project. Just really great guys who, in my mind, made some magic happen on a really stressful day.

Alfredo is smart, resourceful, flexible, reliable, and he and his colleague tackled the work professionally and efficiently. The gentlemen both wearing their masks throughout the move was impressive. We just finished our first day of driving a 15 ft box-truck to Texas which Alfredo loaded and secured; nothing shifted across 200miles! I got the feeling that no matter what we might need done, Alfredo would have had a solution, or have called someone who could help. I reached out to them back in June to schedule their services for our upcoming move August 1st. Sam went over pricing, return customer discounts etc and we emailed back and forth several times. He collected the move details (even had me select a time window for the move etc) and I asked over and over to let me know what else is needed to confirm our move and he sent me a question form asking additional details which I sent back to him and that was that. Flash forward to yesterday, I had reached out to confirm our move after looking back in my emails from the last time we used them and seeing they had sent me an official confirm and confirm number (none of which Sam sent me) to make sure I was good to go. Of course, as I feared they did not have my reservation even though I emailed Sam multiple times asking if anything else was needed to confirm our reservation. I was told by the gentlemen on the phone that Sam would be contacting me to sort this out and that because I didn't pay a deposit (a deposit I was never asked for by the way, how am I supposed to know as the customer that a deposit is what he needed to put me on their calendar if he didn't freaking tell me that) that they were all booked up and would most likely not be able to move us. I called them and emailed them all day (I was told managers, owners etc would be calling me to figure out options and help and not one person ever called me back) I had to call them every time and was ping ponged around and given "call back in an hour" over and over. So I called end of day at 5 (they close at 7) and their phones were shut off... and have been off still up until this point and not a single response to any of my emails. Btw we booked movers because I am recovering from breaking 5 bones in my foot and would not be able to move our stuff safely with a half broken foot. So now here we are 4 days from our move with zero help or resolution or options from this company, never heard from a single manager or the owner like I was told I would, and had to scramble to book a moving truck ourselves and will have to move my house with a broken foot because of their lack of follow up and scheduling error. We reached out to other movers in the area all of which, of course , are booked since this is so last minute which is really upsetting. Also, I noticed after calling them all day yesterday and today, they managed to change their address on yelp and their website to reflect Glendale CA when it said Pleasant hill CA (and are a Bay Area company) between the Time we booked in June and yesterday while I was playing phone tag with their employees. Not sure what that's all about. I understand times are hard right now but I received ZERO customer service, answers to my questions, or a resolution or options to make this right as I have an email thread with Sam confirming my reservation and the error of not having it on calendar or a deposit collected was their fault not mine. Their quality of service has gone downhill and seriously declined from the first time we used them to today. Horrible way to treat someone who was calm and nice considering the situation and just asking for their help figuring out a way to make things work. Unreal.

Unfortunately, their handling of my solid wood canopy bed and desk caused significant damage. Screws were stripped and left sticking out more than an inch, which made the hardware unusable and directly damaged the wood. Bed and desk pieces were stacked directly against each other without proper protection, which left scratches on both. Despite having more than enough moving blankets, they failed to use them correctly. When I reached out with photos, they initially responded and eventually offered to "send someone to sand, repaint, and replace screws." However they have now stopped responding altogether. I paid over $200 in tips for this move, only to discover that my $1,295 canopy bed and $700 desk are now permanently damaged. Instead of taking responsibility, the company has given excuses and then ghosted me. I absolutely do not recommend them.

However, david called back to me later and offered me help on Sunday morning. He was on time (even couple minutes earlier to set up everything ) he was helpful, strong, efficient, and super nice! The amount of boxes I was moving turned out to be a little more than I expected, but he didn't complaint or ask for a higher price. We got the work done in 1.5 hours. Without his help I couldn't even imagine how tough it would be for me to move out on time! Definitely recommend to everyone!
