May 2026, I contracted with Ship Auto Now LLC and worked with broker James Brown to arrange transportation for my truck. Mr. Brown quoted me a shipping price of $1,150, which was within my budget. However, after 12 days, he was unable to locate a driver willing to transport at that price. Because of the delay, I requested a refund of my deposit so I could work with another transportation company. Mr. Brown became upset and stated that I would receive my refund within 3-4 business days. During that same conversation, he told me he would place an alert on my truck so that no driver would accept it from another company. I did receive my refund, but after I began working with another auto transport company, I discovered that on May 29, 2026--the same day I requested the refund--Ship Auto Now LLC posted my truck on the industry load board for $2,500 under Ship Auto Now LLC's name. The posting included my truck information, origin and destination pickup of June 12, 2026 or later. I have screenshots of the load board posting as evidence. This posting directly contradicts the $1,150 quote I was originally given. It appears that the company knew the actual market rate was approximately $2,500 and still quoted an unrealistically low price to secure my business. Furthermore, the load board posting remained active after I terminated my agreement and requested a refund, creating obstacles for other brokers attempting to arrange transportation for my vehicle. I believe Ship Auto Now LLC engaged in misleading pricing practices and intentionally interfered with my ability to obtain transportation services from another company. I request that BBB investigate this matter and hold the company accountable for these actions. We coordinated a vehicle shipment from NJ to TX (with a flexible timeframe). It was really easy to get an immediate quote via their website and to subsequently schedule the pick-up. Additionally, their prices seemed really reasonable compared to other companies. They charged $1,290 ($290 down, $1000 upon delivery). I liked that their quote specified that it included taxes, tolls, fuel, insurance, and a price guarantee not to spring any additional charges. Just for comparison's sake, I priced two other companies in the NJ/NY area and was quoted $1,455 and $1,725. I also checked several national companies to compare prices. Their prices varied ($1,124; $1209; $1,513; $1,575). As you can see, the lowest quotes were slightly lower but not by much. I was honestly hesitant about using these national companies because they tend to have more negative reviews (although they probably also do more business). There are accusations of hidden fees, damages, bad customer service, etc. They also tend to be less personal (since they are headquartered in random locations). After considering price (and price guarantee), location, and reviews, we went with Sanway. They appeared to be an experienced and established company where you are still able to get personal service. Just a heads up, Sanway does subcontract third-party drivers/companies to deliver your car. The drivers do pick-up and drop-off the vehicles directly so you interact with them. Keep in mind that they have multiple deliveries to make so they are unable to give you an exact delivery day/time. They initially told us 2-6 days (average of 3). When the pick-up occurred, they told us it should arrive on Saturday/Sunday. The car arrived on Sunday evening and the driver (Robert, nice guy) called when he was about 25 minutes away. I was hoping that the driver would give me more of a heads up as he got closer to my area but it ended up working out since we were home at that time. I've read reviews on google that said it was difficult to get human support but I don't know why those people had that experience because I had to call them about a half a dozen times with different questions and I got a human being who answered my questions clearly and succinctly every time. Yes they have an AI chatbot that was never able to help me with anything but it only took 30 seconds to get past it to a person so that was never a problem for me. There were no tricks to their pricing, they were totally flexible when I changed the pick up location to a completely different state and didn't charge me any more for the change. The driver was fantastic and really worked with us to coordinate pick up and drop off. The drivers are private contractors so I can't say if they are all equally good but our guy (Jay) was great.
