I am filing a complaint against Ship Auto Now LLC regarding deceptive business practices and interference with my efforts ship my vehicle. May 2026, I contracted with Ship Auto Now LLC and worked with broker James Brown to arrange transportation for my truck. Mr. Brown quoted me a shipping price of $1,150, which was within my budget. However, after 12 days, he was unable to locate a driver willing to transport at that price. Because of the delay, I requested a refund of my deposit so I could work with another transportation company. Mr. Brown became upset and stated that I would receive my refund within 3-4 business days. During that same conversation, he told me he would place an alert on my truck so that no driver would accept it from another company. I did receive my refund, but after I began working with another auto transport company, I discovered that on May 29, 2026--the same day I requested the refund--Ship Auto Now LLC posted my truck on the industry load board for $2,500 under Ship Auto Now LLC's name. The posting included my truck information, origin and destination pickup of June 12, 2026 or later. I have screenshots of the load board posting as evidence. This posting directly contradicts the $1,150 quote I was originally given. It appears that the company knew the actual market rate was approximately $2,500 and still quoted an unrealistically low price to secure my business. Furthermore, the load board posting remained active after I terminated my agreement and requested a refund, creating obstacles for other brokers attempting to arrange transportation for my vehicle. I believe Ship Auto Now LLC engaged in misleading pricing practices and intentionally interfered with my ability to obtain transportation services from another company. I request that BBB investigate this matter and hold the company accountable for these actions. Supporting documentation, including screenshots of the load board posting dated May 29, 2026, is available upon request. read more

Scammers! Failed to pick up vehicle on the contracted date and argued until we provided contract where the pick up date is clearly stated. After that , they raised the price from $800 to $1800 even though upon booking we asked multiple times if this is the final price and they confirmed that it wouldn't change. Stay away! read more

I had a TERRIBLE experience with Ship Auto Now when I shipped my car from CA to MN. I found this company online and went with them because their quote of $700 was the lowest i received. About 3 hours before my car was scheduled to be picked up on 8/11, the owner Bob calls to tell me that the new price is $1375 (technically $1575 but I already paid the $200 deposit when I first made the reservation). He said that a lot of his employees were deported and he was short staffed. While I feel for him, his being understaffed isn't my problem nor is it an excuse to raise the price significantly the day my car was to be picked up. He should have called me the Friday before to let me know of this change so I could call other companies for a more affordable price. Initially I was told the car would take 4 days to ship so I was expecting it to arrive on August 15th. I tried contacting the driver and dispatcher for an eta but no response. After one of these people returns my call, he said the car won't arrive tomorrow. I called Bob who said the car won't arrive until 8/22! I was upset because if I was told the car wouldn't arrive on 8/15, I wouldn't have gone with them. Though I realized I overlooked the date in the new contract, at no point was Bob apologetic about the major inconvenience of not having my car before my first day of work (8/18). He knew I needed the car by the 18th. As a result, I had to rent a car and booked my reservation with Budget until the 22nd. On 8/20, I got a call from Bob that my car arrived. Since I was going to be gone for a few hours on the 15th, I gave the address of someone I knew who would be available. This person got a text that the car arrived and was confused. I told him that he or one of his staff should have called me yesterday to let me know the car would be delivered tomorrow. I reminded him that arranged a rental car until 8/22 because that's when he said the car would arrive and that it's unacceptable to not give me any notice when there's a change in schedule. He said he had no idea but at this point it really felt like excuses. Again, NO APOLOGY for the inconvenience and lack of communication. He misses the mark on basic customer service skills necessary to run and stay in business. I asked for the car to be delivered at work, which they said they could do. Although there was some communication issues with the driver due to a language barrier, I did get my car. The icing on the cake is that Bob had the audacity to ask me for a 5 star review the day after he raised the price!! Ship Auto Now cheats, takes advantage of first time car shipping customers like myself, and does not honor both the financial and timing commitments. Based on the previous reviews and overall rating of 1.4 on Yelp, I clearly am not the only person whose had a bad experience. I encourage people not do business with this company under any circumstances and instead find a more trustworthy and reliable company. read more

Bait-and-switch pricing, broken guarantees, zero accountability Quoted $400 Chicago suburb to Nashville; when booking, price jumped to $700. After I pushed back, they "secured" $550 on the condition of guaranteed same day pickup and next-day delivery by noon. Contract initially said "estimated" dates; I insisted on guarantees. They removed "estimated" and resent for signature. Vehicle pick up, the carrier arrived within two hours after the contract was signed. However, vehicle was to be delivered by noon next day (Saturday). Did not arrive until 7am the following Tuesday. The guaranteed delivery time came and went. I spent three days texting between the broker, a non-English-speaking carrier, and a third-party translator/carrier office manager. Ship Auto Now (Broker) blamed the carrier; carrier blamed the broker. Lots of excuses, no ownership. No effort to make it right--no discount, no accountability. Bottom line: I do not recommend Ship Auto Now. In my experience, they engaged in bait-and-switch pricing, made guarantees they didn't honor, and refused to take responsibility. read more

Don't book with them. They are scammers and unprofessional. I put a deposit down 2 weeks before my ship date and had a gut feeling that something was off, so I decided to cancel the trip. I cancelled 9 days before pickup. The contract states that if you cancel within the 7 days you pay $200. So why wasn't I given my deposit back? Well they said the $150 had to go towards gas. Ridiculous because I didn't even have a driver scheduled. I asked for my deposit back multiple times and eventually gave up. I'm glad I didn't move forward with them because they're scammers and will take anything that they can get read more

Conversations I had with "Brad" stating it would be $1000 to ship my vehicles and was sent an invoice, not a quote. If you have a car that needs to be towed, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY (SHIP AUTO NOW). This has been the worst experience we've ever had. They were dishonest, disrespectful, and unprofessional. we had a contract with them for $500 to bring a car from Las Voges to Austin Texas. After taking our credit card, they tried to increase the price to $1000-$1100. After a month and we called them to ask if they could deliver our car and tried to explain the situation. instead of helping, they tried to justify why they canceled. They promised the car would arrive within two weeks but then refused to deliver it. Even though we had agreed that if the driver came to the house and no one was there, we would pay an extra $150, they never followed through. They were only interested in keeping the $200 "cancellation fee. This company takes advantage of people and does not provide the service they promise. please spread the word so others don't fall into the same trap. we need honest, reliable services, not scam. The person we dealt with was named JUSTIN GREEN. His voice and way of talking felt unusual almost like he might have been using AI. He claimed to be a director or a manger. he was very unprofessional, dismissive, and dishonest throughout our interactions. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND REVIEW PLATFROMS. DON"T TRUST THEM, THEY ARE DISHONEST AND UNPROFESSIONAL, PEOPLE NEED TO BE WARNED. SHIP AUTO NOW IS SCAMMERS! FAILED TO PICK UP!!!! read more

Please DO NOT USE this transport company. I just recently used this company 9/2025. It was the worst communication and a lot of double talk when comes to confirming a price. I had to repeatedly confirm dates and when I was confirmed for 9/9 all of a sudden the driver was not able to get his truck. Then his drivers license was suspended. My rate was raised by $300 because of their logistical fiasco. I insisted on paying what I was contracted for. It delayed everything by 4 days. I had a confirmation of 6 drivers in less than 48hours til finally at the 18th hour the day of pickup did I actually get contacted by a driver that had no clue as to what was happening. Not to mention I was not told that the fee was CASH on delivery. read more

This company is horrible. They will quote you a low price and then leave you hanging for a few days. They will tell you no driver is available, no other company will be able to help you, and your route is a dead route. When you ask to cancel they will miraculously find a specialty driver but will want to charge you hundreds more. They will argue with you if you ask for a refund. The woman I spoke to hung up on me three times. They are still refusing to refund my money and performed no service for me. Giving one star because zero is not an option. read more

Highly recommend vetting these types of companies well before selecting. This company lives up to the Better Business Bureau rating for their company of an "F" to a tee. DO NOT USE THEM TO SHIP YOUR CAR! This is not an American company. This company is a scam and they will steal your money. You're welcome. read more

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with a shipping company. I was quoted $650 to ship my car -- a price I agreed to and signed for. But when the time came, no driver was scheduled and I was left in limbo for over a week with zero accountability or real updates. After being strung along and desperate to get my car moved since I needed it for work, I was pressured into paying $1,100 -- $450 more than the original quote. Why? Because apparently, no driver would accept the original price. That's called bait and switch, and it's exactly how they operate. They lure you in with a low quote, knowing full well they can't get a driver at that price. Then, when you're out of options and time, they jack up the rate and hope you cave. It's manipulative, dishonest, and downright unethical. Do NOT trust this company. Save yourself the stress and money. I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. read more

If I could give this auto shipper a review of zero I would. I am not a novice at arranging shipping for vehicles as I have shipped cars at least three if not four times to my children when they were in college. This experience with ShipAutoNow was nothing but a nightmare. This outfit held the shipping of my daughter's brand new vehicle hostage unless I paid a cancellation fee of $100.00 via Venmo. They refused to move me off the board which would enable me to find another auto shipper who would be reputable. I was quoted $375.00 to ship from the SF Bay Area to the Seattle area. I confirmed by text that the price was firm on Saturday, May 11 and it was confirmed text that the price was firm. I was asked to pay $125.00 to them with the balance to be paid to the driver in cash on May 13. I later discovered they charged my card $150.00 which I ultimately disputed with my bank which was the only way I was able to obtain the refund from them. Monday the 13th arrives and I start receiving text messages from Sonya with excuses as to why a driver will not be at my home to pick up the new car (only 9 miles on it) and then the surprise that the price is increasing by triple. Then it was like a hustle after that with a bunch of calls from Sonya, a bunch of promises for a new driver, an insistence that I work out another arrangement regarding their "cancellation fee" and the saga went on and on thereafter. Finally, I had enough that I was put in a position to not be able to get them to refund my money and take me off the board so I could engage another shipper that two other family members agreed to drive her new EV to the Seattle area and put on over 800 miles to her new car. The other issue with Sonya was that via text I confirmed that the would be shipping from the SF Bay Area to the Seattle area and she completely screwed this up by having the locations reversed and then blamed me for not reading the estimate but this goes to her incompetence. Research the Better Business Bureau which has a "F" rating. Stay away from this outfit as you will be highly disappointed and beyond frustrated. read more

I was told the total cost to ship the vehicle was $600 and deposit $150 (which I did deposit) and $450 due at delivery. On the day of pickup, "Emma Jones" tell me the new price is $1300. I cancel the shipment and she said you have to pay the fee $200 by Vemo etc. Later she said the best she can do is $1150, I said no. This company is a nightmare and appears to be a scam, offering low bids that they change at the last minute. I lost $150 because of this company. If I could give ZERO stars I would. I have no idea how they are in business let alone the shipping business. This company quoted one price and on the day of shipping changed the price. The contract stated a specific price and date of pick up. When that changed and I said I would not use them because of the price increase they were belligerent. They gave false phone numbers to management, hung up the phone on me, and were dismissive of my concerns. They lied not only about price but about contact information, address, and delivery. The next day Bob Doss told us he couldn't find someone for less than double the contracted price. When we refused, he kept calling back with progressively lower prices, but none even near the original quoted price. Told him we didn't trust him and to cancel the order and refund our deposit. Do not use these scammers, just like most of the auto shipping brokers they give you a quote and then call to say the drivers that can do it want more money and try to hit you for double the quoted price. They do not actually have anyone who has agreed to do the shipment for their estimated quoted price. They give you all kinds of bs about how they rarely have any upcharges etc. Also they go out of their way to say all their competitors will give you a low price then jack it up which is exactly what they do. I have to say any good reviews on here must be paid for. They stated they were not a broker and they had their own drivers and trucks which is also complete BS read more

I really wish I'd reviews and their BBB ratings before I use this company absolutely the communication is horrible hounding you to book with them or to provide a deposit. This company is absolutely the worse of all. I've never had to deal with such a downright unprofessional, and borderline scam company. What a horrible experience. I hope others don't have to go through what I went through just last week. I signed a contract with this company to transport my car on May 31,2025 to have the car picked up in August 15, 2025. The contract is for $675. They requested that I put a deposit down for $200. The day that the car was supposed to pick up, my sales rep - Sophia- never called and the driver never schedule to pick up the car. I had to call Sophia to find this all out while I was on travel for work, she could not find a replacement driver. I gave her 7 days to look for a replacement driver. She was not able to get me a driver. The new rate now is $1400. I told her that that was not our contract. Our contract was $675. She said that there's no driver will take this car at that number so the new cost is gonna be what it is. When I told her that that is not in our contract so I have to reach out to another broker so they can help me. She told me that I had reached the contract by work with another broker as such, I have violated the signed contract. I told her that I just need my car to be transported at the price we had agreed to. And they cannot deliver based on a contract therefore I want to cancel. She told me because I requested for cancel, and I had breached contract by working with another broker. She will have to keep my $200 deposit as a cancellation fee. The whole experience was very bad. She was yelling at me. She was rude. She was insulting. This company is a fraud. They are basically scamming people and knowing that they cannot deliver on their contract. I warn everyone to be very careful in dealing with this company. Their business license should be taken under review and terminated. Do not work with them. Bad bad bad read more

DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, USE THIS COMPANY. I signed a contract after numerous text messages from "emma Jones" stating this was the final price. I sent $100 on my credit card (I've now learned that reputable companies don't require this). 48 hours before pickup, she called and increased the price by$250. 24 hours before pickup, she sent me fake pictures of a car carrier accident and said my "driver" was in an accident and now the price would be higher. I demanded my money back and I'm still waiting for it. I called a supervisor (or so I was told) and I was not kind, but I was flying out the same morning as my car pick up. Overall, this is a total BAIT AND SWITCH company. No matter what price they give you, don't fall for the scam. It is my intention to contact the DOT, Better Business Bureau and any other governing body that I can think of. This experience has been very difficult for me (I'm recovering from substantial medical issues) and under a timeline. I haven't been this disappointed in a company in a very long time. It's just sad that people can be so dishonest. Please, don't use them if you want to actually ship your vehicle at the price they give you. I can't give NO Stars, unfortunately, or I would. read more

Received a quote and a price confirmation but quickly experienced a bait and switch operation. Traded emails with Christina, where she told me they had their own vehicles and were not a broker. I was not interested in the new price but they said the contract states they can change the price and pickup date. If I could give negative stars I would. I sought this company out on google looking for something affordable to ship my car from the west coast to east coast. Initially, everything was fine and I signed an email agreeing to a set total price of $900. The first red flag was that they requested I make a $200 deposit to hold my spot via cash app to $mansin username. They sent me a confirmation text message stating they received the money and sent me a receipt. I then received a text message the day before the pickup was scheduled stating that the new total price would be $1550 and stated "if we considered the driver's view it's just $0.15 per mile." I immediately requested the deposit back and they ignored my request and kept urging me to use their company. I ended up having to block their number along with a "supervisors" number still urging me to use their company. I honestly did not want to go through this company after this situation due to the fear of them wrecking my car. The way they spoke to me was beyond unprofessional and not even addressing my request was the most frustrating thing. They then stated that other companies would ask for the same amount anyway to justify them marking up the price significantly the day before. I did try to request money through $Manson on CashApp for a refund however, their requests had been turned off. That seems so sketchy to me. So now I am out $200 and should have gone with the more expensive company to begin with. I was told by the company I had gone through they would NEVER ask for a deposit via CashApp and would ALWAYS take care of the customer before wiping customers of their money. They had also told me MANY people have been scammed by this company and I would love to prevent the financial losses for anyone else choosing to go the "cheaper route." read more
