I would definitely order this again. And it was more than enough for two people. The taste was very good.

Fried cauliflower vings in gold sauce

We stopped here right before closing time after a long day of traveling. What a great spot. They made everything fresh. Service was great and the food was delicious. The standout for me was the cauliflower vings with the agave gold sauce. Would highly recommend them.

T Definitely a 4.5 for vegam comfort food. The best sauce on vings I've tasted on vegan food. I'm originally from Memphis and we all know the honey gold vings are King. I believe the same here is called royal gold. It was delicious. I also had cauliflower vings that had a hot sauce that brought the heat, mac and cheese and BBQ jackfruit sandwich. They were having a pick 4 special when ai went and got to taste a lot. The service was friendly and I received my food pretty quick. It was freshly cooked and so very good. My experience was a very good one and I can't wait to visit family again and return to this gem. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You can eat inside or take it with you.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is parking on the side of the eatery which is housed next to a wing spot and other shops. I had no problem with parking. Great little spot to check out.

The food here is so delicious. I have gone several times and have not been disappointed. The first time I went, I had the honey hot cauliflower wings with lemon pepper sprinkled on them and they were so. They give you a great amount. I could not eat them all in one sitting. The homemade vegan ranch dressing was also delicious. The second time I went I had the vegan hot wings. I not exactly sure what they are made out of, but they were good and have the consistent of meat. I had the vegan blue cheese dressing with them and I was not disappointed. Oh and since they were on the counter, lol, I went ahead and got a vegan doughnut. Literally one of the best doughnuts that I've had. I can't wait to go back and try more menu items! If you are vegan and looking for something fun and healthy to eat, this is the place to go!

This place is so good! It's hard to find gluten free on my travels but we found this place and tried it out. Delicious! I got the burger with gluten free bun. Yummy!!! Definitely check them out

I like me plants delicious, thank you very much!

This has been on my list for a long time, but never worked into a stop during cross country adventures until now. While it's definitely not going to check any boxes off on the whole food plant based lifestyle unless you consider French fries to be a vegetable, it's awesome to have plant based options like this, too, once in awhile and I can't wait to go back. We got the vegan chicken wings, aka Vings. They are formed in house out of soy protein in the shape of a wing/drumstick. None of that weird "wooden stick in a vegan wing" thing here. These tasted and looked authentic. Just be warned there is turmeric or something in the sauce so your fingers might temporarily be yellow, which is ok with me. It comes with your choice of sauces. We couldn't decide on one, so we paid extra to get two sauces and that was a wise choice. Also got the fried oyster mushroom and fries. They have gluten free flour, so gluten free vegans like me can enjoy all their fried deliciousness here. These were very good. We happened to come on the owners birthday and his staff had gotten him an amazing package of gifts that he opened while we were there and did a video of the opening to post on social media. You could tell he has a special relationship with his staff and that comes through in the care for the food.

Grabbed lunch here yesterday since Yelp was hosting an event for Yelpies/Elite Squad. First time I have been to this cool place. Service was awesome. All three young ladies that were working there were very helpful and we're cooking all the different foods that are offered. I wasn't sure what to order so I asked for a recommendation. The nice young lady suggested I order the classic burger with french fries. It was a beyond meat patty and the burger was fully dressed with vegan cheese, onions, tomato, pickles, and mustard. I normally don't have all of that but I wanted to try everything on the burger. The burger was very flavorful, and the texture was pretty good. The bun was cooked very well, and the french fries or seasoned and crispy. I did not eat all the fries. I did save them for later. The restaurant is kind of small and quaint. There are tables inside. There is plenty of parking in the back as the location is located inside of a strip mall on Highland Street. The entrance to the restaurant is on Highland. So you will need to walk to the front to enter. I will return because there are many other items on the menu I would like to try. This restaurant has vegan food only. Everything on the menu sounds very delicious. I will return with friends.

I don't think I will ever eat a beef patty again ! I had my first vegan burger from Plant Based Heat and it's giving 10/10.  Run don't walk !! Plant Based Heat is a black owned vegan restaurant in Memphis, located in East Memphis! The staff was knowledgeable about the menu when asked about it and was willing to offer their favorites off the menu! They suggested the Oyster Mushroom Burger and I added seasoned fries! It did not disappoint. The food was made to order and came out steaming hot. The burger was dripping in flavor ! The fries were cooked to a crisp perfection and seasoned well. My over all taste buds were amplified. It's was a one of a kind experience and I'm now I'm a believer that vegan food can be tasty food! I will be going back to taste other menu items such as the fried cauliflower and the vegan wings.

I'm not plant based, but my friend wanted to try it out, so we popped in. Friendly staff, clean environment, and great food. I opted for mushrooms with an Agave gold sauce, and it was AMAZING! I was very pleased with the various options that fit my palate and appetite I'll definitely try them again.

BBQ Jackfruit Nachos and Fye Junt(Vegan Hot Burger)

I enjoyed the phucccc out of my experience!!!! Excuse my French lmao but this vegan restaurant is the place to be. The employees were very kind and the guy owner is very respectful. Those jackfruit nachos were a hit!!! They were so good I kinda had wished I had ordered another set. But I ordered the burger instead to give it a try. Along with a strawberry cake and freshly squeezed lemonade. This was my very first visit. But if God says the same, then it won't be my last. I will be driving back to Memphis soon... (I'm from Louisiana). Cheers! ;)

This was my first time visiting this restaurant for a Yelp event. The staff was nice and professional, the set-up is trendy. The food is absolutely delicious, yes its plant based, but it is amazing. I hadn't eaten vegan nor plant based food before and it tastes amazing. I'll bring visiting in the future to try different menu items.

Planning a cross country drive with a stop in Memphis this week? I noticed there's a GF bun on the menu, does that mean there's some options that are GF if you substitute just the bun? (And, sorry anything BUT the burger, I can't eat Beyond Meat).

Yes, you can eat the jackfruit burger, the oyster mushroom burger all my favorite 😍 hope this helps.

It was absolutely delicious. The bun was buttery and crispy. The BBQ sauce was chef's kiss. I was not expecting it to taste like that! The meat was nice and chewy and the slaw on top was a nice compliment to the sandwich as a whole. The baked beans were okay and the fries had a nice seasoning and were crunchy and fresh. I can't get over how good that sandwich was. The 5 stars is for the sandwich alone because whew!!! I am thoroughly impressed. I came with a group of friends and our waitress was very sweet and attentive. It's a pretty standard size place with plenty of seating. We went during a non-busy time and were able to try their vegan chocolate cake (we sang happy birthday for another party that was there and that party gave us a slice of their cake) and it was soft and chewy. Many ordered the skate with brown butter which was world class. After dinner, 1 client remained due to difficulty getting Uber. He ordered a drink and was told the register was closed. I quietly asked the owner if he could offer the drink on the house, and he declined. Had he been more accommodating, ACRE would have been at the top of the list for a substantial number of subsequent business dinners. My fiancé and I decided we would give Acre another try last week. We ordered the striped bass entree for $49. When the dish arrived there was what could only be described as two scraps of fish: One piece was less than a half inch thick and about 4 inches long, and after some searching, we found a second piece about half that size. I have never seen a striped bass small enough to yield a filet that thin. We asked the server to ask the kitchen if that was intentional or if there was a mistake. We were hopeful that a "do over" would result in the entrée described on the menu. Unfortunately, the server was clearly not in our court. Her attitude was passive /aggressive or at best indifferent. Despite specifically asking what the chef had to say, we received no visit or even feedback from the kitchen. What could have been handled with a laugh and a new or different entrée selection, quickly became uncomfortable. Hindsight is 20/20, but we should have considered our first bad experience a clear message that the culture at Acre is not a fit for us. We will not be back.

Moving back home, I didn't think that I would find any food that will be comparable to what I had. Well, I was wrong. Son of a vegan showed out in many ways! Customer: 20/10 Ayesha, the owner, has always been extremely nice. She's always taken the time to explain any item that I ask about. She speaks when we arrive and always makes sure to ask about our experience. You can tell that this is more than just a business to her. It is a passion. Taste: 20/10 As I mentioned before, this place is second to none. Everything that I have tried has been great: the barbecue nachos, barbecue vicken, bacon, quesadilla, patty melt, chopped cheese, Philly, seasoned fries, desserts, and everything in between. The most loved item is the lasagna!!! It is so good that you will feel as if you're in an Italian restaurant while eating it. Cost: 10/10 The prices are reasonable and the portion sizes are great also. Parking: 10/10 It is located inside of the mall. So, there's lots of parking. Creativity: 10/10 At one point, the owner offered a cooking class. My family, friends, and I attended. We loved it one of the takeaways that we still use today is being intentional with visiting our local farmer's market. That is something that I had never done until that point. She also challenged us to stop hoarding food by cleaning out our cabinets. Let's just say there were cans that were extremely dated in the pantry. I have no clue why I was keeping cans that long, but I did. Some of them were old enough to be in preschool lol. Anywho, I'm grateful for her suggestion! They also have games that you could play while waiting for your food. My cousin and I love the game Trouble. So we would often play a round or two before eating on your "Cousin Dates". Being that I'm an extreme yelper, I cannot believe that I have not reviewed this amazing business until now. Honestly, it deserved a five star or HIGHER every time I've visited over the past two years. SOV has even encouraged some of my family members to try a vegan lifestyle. Though I am not vegan any longer, I still made an effort to visit this location because it's just that good. It's sad to hear that they are closing because it is a staple in the Memphis community. Its imprint will remain permanent within our culture and our hearts. Cue Boyz II Men "ALTHOUGH WE'VE COME TO THE END OF THE ROAD......"
