I had ordered food from Uber only to be told 30 minutes later the restaurant didn't accept my order. At this point I was so hungry I could have eaten my arm. I placed an order with Planet Pizza as they promised quick delivery.. another pizza place promising New York pizza, but at this point I would have eaten anything. They delivered my pizza quickly as promised and my mouth was salivating when I opened the box and it indeed looked like NY pizza, even better it tasted just like the pizza I grew up eating in Manhattan. The staff is interesting and I prefer when the manager is there. Keeps things in line. Have gone periodically- slices are very generous but simply just ok. It just isn't the same flavor as when I first tried the place. Salads are pretty good and fair priced. If you want a quick slice it's fine because a variety of toppings exist and it's ok. I have used them many times and usually the service is pretty good until last evening when I ordered 2 pizzas. First I was told that they were no longer honoring the 2 for $20 option for pizza. Then, after waiting for an hour and 20 minutes for a 45 minute order, I had to take my sons home and they missed dinner. The driver was polite, yet, I would not accept the order for it was very late and my kids missed dinner. I really do not like this place. I've ordered from here two to three times. First off, the food sucks. Really. It is bad. It has never made me sick and I've found no bugs, but if either happened I would not be shocked. Also, the person answering the call wasn't super friendly, the delivery driver was a rude d-bag (only once), and the food didnt come well packaged. But the 1 star is for the food. Horrible service! The food is not very good, the French fries were not even edible. Delivery took over an hour and they forgot to bring us half the items. When we called to dispute the order, the guy was rude and asked what I wanted him to do about it! I asked for the right food to come since we paid for it and that took over another hour- We live half a mile from there! They also tried to charge us an extra $4 when they brought the right food because they said we had been charged the wrong amount the first time. But could not show me any receipt. I don't think this place even deserve a star. My friends and I just ordered from here and 1. they were rude who ever answered the phone sighed when we gave our address for a delivery. We called back because we forgot to order somethings it was only about 2 mins after we hung up from them. They answered and was rude we ordered a large pizza 12 wings and mozzarella sticks after placing the order the second time we got hung up on. when they delivered the order the total came out to be $47.08. WE WERE RIPPED OFF and WE WERE OVER CHARGED!! We were charged for 1 Large pizza 14.49 1 liter pepsi 3.50 1 24 wings 17.99 ( when we ordered only 12... ) and mozzarella sticks 6.29. The food was all frozen food and wasn't even hot when we got it. NEVER EVER ORDER FROM HERE. This is probably the worst food I've ever had. I ordered a chicken Parmesan the sauce was disgusting tasted like it had been sitting for days tasted like something my grandma would make for my grandpa who is diabetic had no flavor and was not good at all the bread was soggy and meat tasted nasty and old. I've been very disappointed with this place lately. They used to have pretty fair prices and good food. I don't know what happened, perhaps they changed owners, but they raised their prices too much and got rid a few of my favorite menu items (no more lasagna pizza?!). Their pasta dishes no longer taste the same, my order was bland while my husband couldn't even get two bites into his pasta because it was too bitter and salty. Not only have they raised the price of their salads by 2 dollars but they have also reduced the size significantly. Absolutely terrible. I ordered a chicken parm sub. It was very skimpy, the cheese tasted like fake processed mozzarella, the sauce is jar quality and their excuse for "chicken" is clearly not fresh. It was rubbery yet hard, and I'm honestly not convinced that it was chicken at all. You will get better quality Italian food at Domino's, as sad as that is to say. When i called to place an order they seemed annoyed, as if it was some odd request! I got a similar reaction when I went to pick it up as well. Very rude staff. Decided to try this place since there was free delivery, so it was convenient.... We ordered a large half plain half pepperoni pizza and decided to try the Alfredo tortellini. Felt it was very over priced for the quality. The pizza had little flavor. The Alfredo sauce tasted pretty bland tasted almost like a bottled sauce. Recently I ordered food online from planet pizza and I was extremely dis-satisfied. They took 2 hours and 30 minutes to deliver my food. I ordered the food at 11:08am an hour later and thirty minutes later..no pizza man. Patiently I call planet pizza and they apologize to me and tell my there was a glitch with the system I ordered from [eat24 which i NEVER had an issue with the numerous times i've ordered from their website]and they never received my order but rest assured they are coming shortly and they were going to give me free garlic bread [which really he should of given me my order for free] ...Another hour goes by and still no pizza guy. I grow livid I mean I've been waiting for 2 hours, I'm starving at this point. 30 minutes later the pizza man finally comes knocking on my door. I give him the money come up the stairs and after a decade of waiting they didn't even give me my full order. So not only did they take 2 hours and 30 minutes to deliver food they didn't even give me my full order and charged me for it...I again call planet pizza now this time I'm hysterical I had to argued with the man for a refund and his exact words were " this isn't my fault, you should have called to confirm you got the order when the email receipt didn't arrive promptly.." And the food wasn't even that good. A shame, I did get my money back but their service is poor and I blame who's in charge, and I hope it wasn't the person that I was speaking to on the phone because he was ignorant to the number one clause in customer service : the customer is always right. First off, I'm disappointed at this pizza joint. I use to stop by here to grab the combo meals during lunch, until I started noticing things. For example, when you look at the pizza window display what they have ready to heat up for you, you can see small fruit flies buzzing around in there! And their was one time when a buddy of mine went there to grab a combo slice for dinner, and saw the little spanish guy behind the counter dipping his whole hand in the marinara sauce bowl! I was ecstatic to catch that fool with no gloves and without washing his damn hands! Very poor customer service. We ordered a Margherita, 36 wings and was supposed to get free garlic knots (we had a coupon). When delivered, I even asked the delivery guy that our garlic knots were in the bag. He said "Yes! Absolutely!". We received a plain cheese pizza (which was $7 cheaper than the specialty pizza we ordered), and just the wings, no knots. When I called to report the problem, they were INCREDIBLY rude and kept demanding that I was only charged for the cheese pizza (which they would not correct by bringing us the right pizza) even though I was holding the receipt in my hand SHOWING that I had paid the extra $7 for the specialty pizza. I was transferred to a manager who was equally rude. They told me they were out of the knots (which they failed to mention when I had placed the order a mere 25 minutes prior) and would not bring anything comparable (i.e. breadsticks, etc). The told me the would credit my charge back $7 BUT my credit card is currently "pending" the incorrect price........ I will NEVER order from this place again. Ordered food at 8:50pm. After telling the driver and someone at the store the driver was on the wrong road several times and 1.8 hours later food arrive. I told the store we no longer wanted our order but they insisted on delivering. I can deal with a lost driver. I can deal with the store trying to get the food delivered and not take a loss. I can not deal with what arrived. The Italian combo bread had, literally, melted away from all the disgusting grease, the lettuce was almost liquified as well and the cold cuts were rock hard. The Philly cheese steak had congealed into a solid dry mass. Of all the food we ordered the only thing anyone managed to get down was a beef patie. I only order from this place because they are the only place that delivers at certain hours. The pizza is really just dominos quality pizza designed to look like real pizza and the rest of the menu is almost 100% frozen food. It is only a place to go when there are no other options. It is not cheap enough for the low quality of food. Never again! read more
