This place hasn't been reviewed for a while so I felt I definitely needed to review it even though I only get delivery from them. Whatever issues might happen inside of the restaurant, I'm not aware of that. What I can talk about is the delivery and the food. I have bought delivery from here twice now and each time had a great experience, dealing with two different drivers. I LOVE the fact that they deliver. Being a Westchester transplant, it was a hardcore smack in the face when I called a bazillion places and no one, even within a two mile radius, would deliver! Like what is that?!? So when I found this place and they said yes, I was ecstatic. I thought maybe that alone influenced my like for the food but the second time around it was still just as good! We've had wings, jalapeno poppers, caesar salad, pesto pizza, pizza with sausage/pepper/onion and another specialty one that I can't remember. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the caesar salad. The pizza is quite yummy, not oversauced, and just the right amount of ingredients. The peppers and onions are cut super thin which is great and they put a lot on still. I really enjoyed the food. The drivers were great too. The first one had a very hard time finding us but continued to try and call until he got here. The second one was quick and knew exactly where we were. Our first time ordering Sal's for delivery. We ordered a large lasagna pizza and six garlic knots. The toppings were so light it was basically a $26 cheese pizza. Garlic knots came with no sauce. The only reason Sal's gets 3 stars is both the garlic knots and pizza tasted good. We may give Sal's dinner or pasta a try sometime. read more

These guys are crooks. There is always something suspicious when it is time for payment. 1st of all they never honor the prices they write on the board. Check your bill, they will charge more than what is written. Then they add 3% extra surcharge if you pay with a credit card. That is illegal. We got 1 large and 1 medium pizza - and it was $50 bucks. The pizza is good but the guys are dishonest. Be very careful ordering online. The online price is never the real price you pay! read more

Pizza was okay. Picked it up 20 minutes after placing the order and drove home for 10 minutes and the pizza was cold. Had to reheat. Perfect thin crust however the sauce was not as good and not enough cheese. I remember having pizza here years ago and it was great. But this time, not so much. Will not order again. read more

I called and spoke with Sall on Saturday past. I told him I wanted to order for the school nearby 4 lrg. Cheese.pizzas. I asked the price. Quoted 1350 each. And if I wanted a topping it was 1450 per pie. So I call today and place order for a pick up for tomorrow only problem is they are playing games telling me that now tonight bacon topping is considered a 2 topping price even tho it is 1 topping that they would have to charge me 1650 be aware people this place is scamming people. I usually get a grinder from Sal's Pizza in Danbury. They have the best grinders i have ever had. This isn' t a small grinder in some soft grinder roll like other places have. It's the real deal! The Italian co mbo is our favorite. They make a sausage grinder too, with really great Sauce. The soups taste like mom's. Had them whe sick with a cold. knots or the garlic bread with cheese to go with soups. Desserts....oohhhh. Ssooo good! Enjoy! read more

There PIzza is pretty good for Danbury. I'm from NY, So I have a good idea of what a good pizza should taste like. I did order there wedges. They need work. The wedges I ordered were the steak and cheese, meatball parm and there chicken cutlet parm. Pizza is always good and not too greasy. I usually order a cheese and pepperoni thin crust. In addition, I ll add a piece of cheesecake....or two. I have eaten sal's pizza for years. Always had home delivery in New Fairfield, CT. This Friday order a couple of pizzas to be delivered. They never delivered the pizza and two hours later still did not get the pizza. The girls taking the orders is a total moron. Especially after calling her three times. We used to be big, big pizza consumers, and this was a frequent stop. Prices are reasonable, pick up was usually ready in 15 minutes.

The pizza is ok. For Danbury I think I would consider it good. I'm from NY and have had some really great pizza so maybe my standards are a little high.
