Our first time ordering Sal's for delivery. We ordered a large lasagna pizza and six garlic knots. The toppings were so light it was basically a $26 cheese pizza. Garlic knots came with no sauce. The only reason Sal's gets 3 stars is both the garlic knots and pizza tasted good. We may give Sal's dinner or pasta a try sometime. read more

ordered pizza from here tonight literally the bottom of it wasn't even cooked. I had to throw it in the oven when I got home for 20 minutes. Sadly I won't be going here ever again. read more

I don't know Danbury very well so I stopped at the first place I saw along the road. Sal's. I got one mushroom slice and one with pepperoni and sausage. Dreadful. Bland tasteless crust and the slices were 100% floppy . I should've kept driving. read more

These guys are crooks. There is always something suspicious when it is time for payment. 1st of all they never honor the prices they write on the board. Check your bill, they will charge more than what is written. Then they add 3% extra surcharge if you pay with a credit card. That is illegal. We got 1 large and 1 medium pizza - and it was $50 bucks. The pizza is good but the guys are dishonest. Be very careful ordering online. The online price is never the real price you pay! read more

Pizza was okay. Picked it up 20 minutes after placing the order and drove home for 10 minutes and the pizza was cold. Had to reheat. Perfect thin crust however the sauce was not as good and not enough cheese. I remember having pizza here years ago and it was great. But this time, not so much. Will not order again. read more

Sal's Pizza - Large pizza with sausage, peppers, onions and mushrooms - Pizza Near Me - Danbury, Connecticut

Sals is one of the go to places. The garlic knots are to die for the sauce is not sweet or salty and the service great

Our go to pizza spot in Danbury when looking for a quick dinner or lunch. Their single slices aren't much to rave about (grew up in NY, so I'm picky with my single slices) but full fresh pies are good. Their sandwiches and garlic knots are our favorites. And staff have always been super nice. read more

I called and spoke with Sall on Saturday past. I told him I wanted to order for the school nearby 4 lrg. Cheese.pizzas. I asked the price. Quoted 1350 each. And if I wanted a topping it was 1450 per pie. So I call today and place order for a pick up for tomorrow only problem is they are playing games telling me that now tonight bacon topping is considered a 2 topping price even tho it is 1 topping that they would have to charge me 1650 be aware people this place is scamming people. Their loss and it was for the school near by. They are loosing business. read more

I usually get a grinder from Sal's Pizza in Danbury. They have the best grinders i have ever had. This isn' t a small grinder in some soft grinder roll like other places have. It's the real deal! The Italian co mbo is our favorite. They make a sausage grinder too, with really great Sauce. The soups taste like mom's. Had them whe sick with a cold. knots or the garlic bread with cheese to go with soups. Desserts....oohhhh. Ssooo good! Enjoy! read more

Thus far this is my favorite pizza spot in Danbury. I'm originally from NYC, been living here for 2 years now and I have yet to find a pizza spot that I actually enjoy until now. Their meat sauce is pretty tasty too. So far so good. read more

There PIzza is pretty good for Danbury. I'm from NY, So I have a good idea of what a good pizza should taste like. I did order there wedges. They need work. The wedges I ordered were the steak and cheese, meatball parm and there chicken cutlet parm. The cutlets were old, chopped up which was weird, the meatballs were small, tasted frozen and no flavor to them, the steak was very fatty and tough. read more

Very good pizza...thinner crust, good sauce and cheese. Given proximity to NYC and New Haven pizza I've tasted plenty of good pizza.....this place holds its own. Ok..its not a destination like Sally's or Modern in New Haven but if you're in Danburt and looking...try Sals. read more

Ownership is rude and disrespectful. They also dont accept credit in the year 2013. This is the type of place that deserves to go out of business. Appending Previous Review: The service is the absolute WORST I have ever experienced. I recently became a customer of Sal's. I usually order 2 chicken stromboli's or an extra large pie and a 2 liter for delivery from them. The person answering the phone typically sounds too busy to field my calls, but I usually just ignore that fact in favor of just getting my food. Well, the LAST TIME I did business with Sal's and it will definitely be THE LAST TIME. I placed an order for myself via phone because i was working from home and hungry. Well, I placed my order of 1 chicken stromboli and a 2 liter of pepsi to the rude gentleman to which he responded "Are you kidding me? You're kiddin' me right?" NO SAL'S IM NOT KIDDING YOU, BUT YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME! This place is run by jerk-offs. If you dont mind being talked to like that, then go ahead and buy from them. Just warning you that their food isnt very good, there is much better in Danbury, and their service is ABSOLUTELY ABHORENT. I wish there were "0" stars. read more

We had two slices of thin crust pizza, a Greek salad and three cannolis; they were all very delicious! The staff was friendly and the service was quick. Will stop by if we come through the area again. Thank You for the yummy food! read more

Sal's Pizza - a menu for a restaurant - Pizza Near Me - Danbury, Connecticut

Pizza is always good and not too greasy. I usually order a cheese and pepperoni thin crust. In addition, I ll add a piece of cheesecake....or two. The cheesecake is a bit pricey but always tastes yummy!!. Back to the pizza...the pizzas are always made to order and the toppings taste fresh. The pepperoni is tasty and isn't cut too thin and the crust has a buttery flavor to it!! Delivery can be slow at times but the pizza always arrives hot!! read more

This place hasn't been reviewed for a while so I felt I definitely needed to review it even though I only get delivery from them. Whatever issues might happen inside of the restaurant, I'm not aware of that. What I can talk about is the delivery and the food. I have bought delivery from here twice now and each time had a great experience, dealing with two different drivers. I LOVE the fact that they deliver. Being a Westchester transplant, it was a hardcore smack in the face when I called a bazillion places and no one, even within a two mile radius, would deliver! Like what is that?!? So when I found this place and they said yes, I was ecstatic. I thought maybe that alone influenced my like for the food but the second time around it was still just as good! We've had wings, jalapeno poppers, caesar salad, pesto pizza, pizza with sausage/pepper/onion and another specialty one that I can't remember. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the caesar salad. The pizza is quite yummy, not oversauced, and just the right amount of ingredients. The peppers and onions are cut super thin which is great and they put a lot on still. I really enjoyed the food. The drivers were great too. The first one had a very hard time finding us but continued to try and call until he got here. The second one was quick and knew exactly where we were. No bad review from me. read more

I was running late and decided to order out. So I called Sal's Pizza for 3 six long grinders. They arrived quickly and they tasted fresh and toasty warm! So far Sal's Pizza hasn't let me down. Try it you'll like it. read more

The pizza is good but forget delivery. We are only a few miles away and when we ordered two pizza's it took nearly an hour and a half to get them. When we opened the boxes they were only slightly warm. What a disappointment! read more

Have used this place many time. Pizza always a crap shoot. Today had the worst Sicilian pizza from there but last week it was awesome. I called. Told 3 different people make pizza there but wouldn't give me anymore info than that. Girl was a young rather snotty phone person and didn't care that they will loose a customer and many more by word of mouth you would think they would want to know what customers think! The real Sal would have. Thumbs down !! read more

Waited 40 minutes for a half-cooked pizza (semi-raw dough, cheese not even melted). Told me 25 minutes on the phone. Woman at the counter copped an attitude when I questioned the long wait. Bad customer service. Bad way to recover business from quarantine. Go across the street. read more

The pizza is just ok. Certainly edible and surprisingly not greasy. Their website is misleading. We thought this was a sit-down type place and that they served alcohol. They have a couple seats in the corner if your desperate. The staff was very friendly. read more

Good pizza, but 1 hour and 45min for delivery when only 1.8 miles away smh. Tried to be patient with this place, last 3 times also waited 60 minutes. Said "next time you order, you'll get a discount". Only two pies should have been at least 50% off the bat. Lmao Keep your "discount" . Not ordering again! read more

I have eaten sal's pizza for years. Always had home delivery in New Fairfield, CT. This Friday order a couple of pizzas to be delivered. They never delivered the pizza and two hours later still did not get the pizza. The girls taking the orders is a total moron. Especially after calling her three times. Sal I will speak to you on Saturday if your even available anymore, the service sucked and will not be buying from you again! read more

I've only ever ordered pizza from here but it's the best in Danbury. My son and his friends order from Sals and they deliver to the soccer fields at their high school. Cool service. They accept credit cards, Craig K should get his facts straight before he posts read more

We used to be big, big pizza consumers, and this was a frequent stop. Prices are reasonable, pick up was usually ready in 15 minutes.

Sal's is great! Love their pizza, meatballs and Greek salad... Yummy!

Very friendly staff, but I definitely will not be returning. The eggplant parm grinder was the worst I have ever had. Soggy and not very hot. Probably made from frozen/microwavable product. read more

Sal's is a great place to order a pizza the guys there are always quick with making your food.

The pizza is ok. For Danbury I think I would consider it good. I'm from NY and have had some really great pizza so maybe my standards are a little high. I think the best part of this place is their sides/apps. I've had the garlic knots, jalapeño poppers, fried calamari and mozz sticks and they were all pretty good. read more
