    Lychee soju
    Devin T.

It was a cute place that my friend and I found on a Saturday night after restaurant hopping. The ambiance was chill the music was great! Cute place for a date night I must say. My food was okay. I got something with noodles. I wasn't too familiar with the menu but I was shocked that my noodles were a cold but it was still good nevertheless. (It's supposed to be a cold dish). I ordered a lychee soju drink that was delicious but definitely lacking alcohol. I would recommend this place. Just be sure to know what you're ordering in advance.

This place is a little hard to find but it's the second floor of the building where there are multiple hot spots in ktown! It was a lot more spacious that I expected when I walked in (so a good place for groups), and I got myself on the waitlist but got seated pretty fast even though there were 6 medium parties ahead of us! The soju cocktails are pretty sweet and don't really taste like alcohol (if you like this then this is the place for you). The food portions are a little small, but we enjoyed eating the rose ttokbokki with the rice cakes fried, which was THE MOVE (highly recommend). Service here is also pretty nice as they're attentive and speedy with what we need!

came here on a wednesday night to catch up with three of my girlfriends and we were all super excited to try this spot because it's been forever since we dined in Ktown and wanted some yummy Korean noms. Unfortunately, we were all super disappointed by the portion sizes and some of the dishes. It's one of those spots that's aesthetically good looking but lacked so much for our hungry bellies. We ordered four food items and and a pineapple soju. Corn Cheese - 1/5 super small portion and barely any corn. It was mostly breadcrumbs and I think carrots?? underneath the cheese. How can they mess up corn cheese??? seriously wouldn't recommend. Bulgogi burger - 2/5 no flavor and bulgogi pieces were dry af. Whatever the tempura crispy topping was on top of the meat also didn't add anything to the burger other than texture and soooo much kale it could have been a veggie burger. Only the side of fries were good and crispy. Rose ricecakes - 3/5 the ttekbboki was chewy and paired well with the sauce but it was ALL sauce for like 5 pieces of ricecakes 3 little mozzarella sticks 2 pieces of fishcake and an egg - seriously overpriced for the serving. We saved the sauce on the side to dip the fries in cause we weren't gonna let it go to waste Soy garlic wings - 4/5 super crunchy but also juicy and tender on the inside. But only came with 6 wings (3 flats, 3 drums) and could prob get way more Korean fried chiggen for the price. Pineapple soju - 0/5 tasted soooooo bitter and there was no pineapple taste despite the pieces of fruit in the actual pineapple pitcher itself. Could probably make my own watermelon soju better Overall nice ambience and hip place to grab overpriced small bites or drinks but nothing special and disappointed with the lack of "YUM" in every dish. Service was okay not too busy for a Wednesday so rather attentive but they didn't once ask how everything was. For the four of us we paid about $185 after tip and tax.

Overall, was pretty disappointed with this place. I went with a friend who had hyped it to be one of the best restaurants at Ktown, but when we had gotten there, apparently almost all of their menu items had changed. None of the items my friend was raving about was there anymore, so we tried something else. Seafood pasta - first off, I hated that the actual noodles were all short strands: seems like they were broken in half before cooking. The sauce tasted just like standard spaghetti sauce with a touch of seafood flavoring. Also, the noodles seemed to be drowned in the sauce, as there was a shit ton of sauce. After I had finished most of the pasta, the whole bowl was just a soup of sauce. Was not worth paying $28 for. Fried chicken tenders (honey garlic) - only had a bite of the tenders, but it was pretty good. Think I would've liked it better as wings. Was a lil expensive at $20 for 6 pieces tho.

Cute vibey spot with plenty of space and a good selection of food. Great for a date night or sometime when you want to be able to hear what people in your party are saying without loud music / overhearing other peoples' conversation. 3/5 for food, 5/5 for ambience. Portions are huge so definitely share. Crispy rose rice cake was the star of the show. Crispy exterior of the dukbokki with the nice chewy inside was a perfect combination. Sauce was creamy and spicy and so refreshing. Came with fried spam and fried mozzarella sticks as well which were okay but underwhelming compared to the crispy dukbokki. Jjam pong was okay. Soup was good but not too flavorful. Seafood was alright but not mindblowing. Squid was pretty chewy and not too flavorful. Kimchi fried rice with shrimp. Solid dish. Well flavored though a bit stickier than usual. Would recommend if you want kimchi fried rice. Not crowded on weekday nights so a great opportunity to stop by.

I was recommended this place after going to a concert nearby and it's been a minute since we ate in ktown. My friend really hyped it up lol It looks like a new trendy spot to go to, but the service... we were seated at the front and they accommodated a table for 3 people which was nice but then they just forgot about us we ordered 2 dishes to share and our server never came back. Our 1 pasta dish arrived 1 hour later. They forgot the rose rice cake dish and we just had to cancel the order before we finally decided to leave. the kimchi carbonara dish we got was super good and that's the only reason why I am giving it 2 stars. There's lots of other places in ktown you can go to instead imo.

My friends and I came on a Saturday night after they finished with their concert. We got seated right away as it was already almost 1 am by this point. It was a fun atmosphere with plenty of space for ourselves. They do serve bottle with the associated flares and frills. For snacks we tried their Aussie cheese fries and chicken tenders with soy garlic sauce. The fries could definitely have been crispier but at least the cheese was thoroughly melted. Tenders had a crispy batter over the tender strips. Overall, we had a good experience. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Would like to come again!

Crispy Rose Rice Cake (fried fishcake mozzarella sticks and spam fried)

The food was truly amazing. Saucy, creamy, so nicely flavored! Blew my mind cause I didn't think it'll be this memorable. Crispy Rosé rice cake was a win. Crunchy outside chewy inside rice cake paired w the sauce, omg. It also comes with deep fried thin piece of fishcake, also a win. Plus, the cabbage is so good????? I was questioning myself too. It came w two big piece of mozzarella sticks, that was just ok. Spam fries were interesting. Chicken wings were good but skin too thick ?? It was good seasoning tho. We liked it. Also the Kimchi pork spaghetti blew me away as well. The sauce was sooo good w the pork and noodle I had big spoonful of just sauce w some chicken(the fried one) (in my experience). Drinks were also strong and delicious at the same time. It was a bday celebration for my friend and the manager was very kind to us. Thank you for reading.

the first photo is the fruit platter they advertised. I showed them this photo and asked them will it come out exactly like this? they said yeah just a little bit smaller... the second photo is what we got... this was an expensive fruit platter too.... i was so shocked and upset

    New Yorker Cheese Spam Fries
    Julie Ying X.

I came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon with a group of 3 people. We ordered the New Yorker cheese spam fries, the honey garlic Korean fried chicken wings (6), and the calamari pancake. The cheese spam fries had too much cheese on top but at least it was hot. The fried chicken was lukewarm but very crispy. The pancake was soggy. I'm used to expensive restaurants in NYC but the prices here were still much higher than other Korean restaurants in the area. Make sure to check your receipt since they had signs everywhere that there was a 20% discount for lunch (11am-5pm) but didn't give us the discount until we asked about it. I doubt I would come back since there's definitely cheaper restaurants in the area with better food.

TLDR: food is good, drinks are a tad more expensive than the rest of ktown but the vibe and service are what makes this place special. I've been here a few times with my friends and we continue to return because of the atmosphere and friendly staff. I think a bottle of soju is around 19 dollars which is 4-5 dollars more than the rest of ktown. Food is similarly priced as most ktown restaurants. For food, I think my favorite dishes are the kimchi carbonara, scallion chicken, and the kimchi fried rice. These have become our go-tos. I really like the steak that comes on top of the kimchi fried rice. Food is good but nothing I would go out of my way for. Overall, expecting to come again and would recommend for drinking/food if paying a little more for atmosphere doesn't bother ya!

This place is a little hidden gem in K-town! The food is a little bit on the pricier side but all the dishes that I've had there have been absolutely delicious. It is a korean fusion restaurant (which has a very western approach to Korean staples). Service is a little slow as I had to wait a while to be seated even though the restaurant was mostly empty. Definitely something to try at least once because of the uniqueness of their dishes!

I went to Plan B in Koreatown with a group of friends and they were able to seat us pretty quickly. I loved the LED lights, upbeat music, and overall ambiance. Unfortunately, wasn't as impressed with the food. It looks like they've updated their menus since but when I went, the prices weren't clear and I should've asked about them ahead of time. But since they were fries I didn't think too much of it, then I ended up being surprised later. I ordered cheese-covered spam fries that, with tax and tip, nearly came out to $30. It was tasty but not worth the money I paid for a simple appetizer. When we were ready to leave, our server hadn't come by for awhile so we had to track them down on our own. Granted it was busy there, but didn't seem so busy for them to forget about our group for a long period of time. Overall, a great spot for the vibes but rather expensive for average and pricey food.

We wanted to have after-dinner cocktails in a chill space, so we searched on our phones & saw Paradise Lost address via Google. We proceeded to walk down & was unable to find the establishment due to their being no front sign. After walking back & forth a few times, we saw another group walking towards the door & they confirmed the place. We walked inside the front door pressed a "doorbell" & lo & behold we gained entry after the previous group went inside. Definitely an incognito entrance. Once inside that door there is someone to greet you, & take your information. There is a forest/ grass/ jungle-looking foyer/ hallway we walked down to get to the next door. Before we knew it, we were near the "Paradise Lost No Vacancy" neon sign w/ an arrow pointing towards the snake-shaped knob door. It gets opened & a supercool speakeasy awaits.... Paradise Lost has mixed style table / seating arrangements throughout the place. A bar seating section, booth-style seating area, lounge- style seating area, etc. We got there a little after 7pm, so the afterwork crowd was in full swing. Paradise Lost has interesting atmosphere. At times a Gothic / Medieval Vibe, meets place w/ shipwreck decor, meets eleganct /club vibe w/ beautiful ceiling lighting, etc. Music played in the background. Staff are friendly, energetic, & attentive. We were pleasantly overwhelmed w/ the vast selection of tiki cocktails that were on the menu. Paradise Lost also have an intimate selection of snacks/ food menu items. This included Popcorn, Tater Tots, Devilled Eggs Rangoon Dip, etc. We ordered some cocktails served in unique tiki mugs & a bucket of popcorn to munch on w/ our drinks. The popcorn is flavored w/ Sea Buckthorn & Browm Butter, which gave it an special flavor profile. Our cocktails were well-prepared & nice & strong. Paradise Lost has individual unisex bathroom stalls & a communal vanity & sink area. The bathroom stalls have spooky voices coming from a speaker as you use the bathroom. I was so humorously taken aback, it had me laughing when I came out...Definitely a different thing to experience in the bathroom - lol. Before we left we watched one of the bartenders do a cocktail "fire" presentation for some patrons in a booth seated area. Wow.... Paradise Lost accepts walk-ins only, no reservations.
