The shop is located East of Pine Island South of Griffen road at the end of 83rd terrace on the right side Davie Florida. The moment I walked in I knew this place was something special. Amanda was helping a customer she was so patient and knowledgeable the lady left her car and she didn't seem stressed at all. When I stepped to the counter she greeted me like I was a regular at the shop "Good morning how can we help you today" with a big smile. I told her I was there for a simple oil change she asked if I'd like them to do a tire rotation she said "it's recommended when doing an oil change, but it's up to you" I didn't feel pressured to add services I didn't come for. Amanda was able to get the car taken care of right away I waited about an hour for the oil change and tire rotation, the wait was a breeze. The service tech wasn't condescending when he spoke with me, which if you've ever taking your car to a dealership you know what I'm talking about. After this I will never go to the dealership for service again. I plan to bring my other car in soon. Big thank you to Local Auto Repair. Over the years, I've done it all, sat there working from my laptop, Ubered back after an early morning drop-off, and even had them drive me home when I lived nearby. They're always accommodating, patient, and genuinely kind. Their customer service is exceptional, and what really stands out is how they remember their customers and make you feel comfortable every single time. You never feel like just another number, they take the time to explain things and make sure you're taken care of. I've since moved about 45 minutes away, and I STILL come back here for oil changes and anything my car needs. That alone should say everything about the level of trust and confidence I have in them. Highly recommend, Luis and his team are the best.

After being ripped off by other mechanics over the years, I was on a search to find an honest mechanic. They were recommended on Facebook and I decided to give them a try. The service writers are extremely helpful and friendly. To give you an idea how honest they are.. A few months ago I got a nail in tire on my way to work on a Sunday. I stopped at a tire place near my office. I showed the worker there my tire and he told me I needed to replace the tire. He quoted me $245. I told him that I didn't have that kind of money on me. He then suggested that I could walk up the road to an ATM. He told me he'll do it for $200. It seemed really sus to me. I told him I had to get to work and asked him to put the spare tire on. He then gave me attitude, however put the spare on. I told him I would come back on Monday. I ended up going to Armstrong on Monday. They told me that I did not need a new tire and they could just patch the tire. This is why I go to Armstrong. A few weeks later I got another nail in a different tire and I took my car to Armstrong. Ramon took care of me and looked at the tire. Luckily it just involved patching it. I also noticed that my tire sensor light stopped working after the last nail incident. I asked Ramon about fixing it. He told me as long as I keep checking my tire pressure, I didn't have to fix the sensor, which would have run $240. extremely honest. Everyone is wonderful at Armstrong, however I usually deal with Ramon. Thank you Ramon for always being so kind, caring and knowledgeable. 10 out of a 10.

Anyway, I brought my SUV here. Sure enough, this adorable 9 year old knew more than me about tires. I was able to get a new tire quickly. The staff were so nice. I chatted with them both and actually had fun waiting for my new tire. This location is in a Publix shopping center. There are several restaurants as well . You can definitely use your time in a fun way while waiting for your car repair.

Cost of a full synthetic is about $150, double the coupon from my dealer. OK fine. Tire rotation another $25, fine. Then three calls to get me to do more "urgent" service, one of which was done 20K miles and less than two years ago. OK, go ahead. Get a call to pick the car up. Tires are NOT rotated even though it's still on the invoice. They give me some BS story that the fronts are too worn (85% tread, new is .34", mine are .29") to put on the rear and it's "against company policy". She has no clue. Back tires are about 90% tread. These ladies on the counter are clueless to say the least. Although the mechanics may be worse. I had a tire from another car leaking air so I asked them to fix it. They claim " they filled it up and put in water and don't see any leak" mind you an hour later when I got home the tire was already out of air. I filled it myself and sprayed it with soapy water. Low and behold two leaks around the rim clear as day. When I tell you they are 100% incompetent, I mean it. I will never let them touch one of our cars again!

I went agains't what everyone told me and bought a retitled car (car that was in an accident and…read moreconsidered totaled by the insurance company) that was repaired. After a couple of days the car began to have brake issues, my car would stop short or make noises, a friend of mine referred me to his mechanic Charles Mears, I called him up and setup an at home appointment to examine my car. I was extremely nervous about this because I have had many bad experiences with auto repair, Charles showed up at my home on time (no small feat itself, I live on a horse ranch) and his calm demeanor rubbed off as he began to inspect my car. As I had already explained what the issue was he went right to it and in a short period of time I could see why he was referred so highly he had all of the tools needed to inspect my car thoroughly and more, (he has to be the most tool conscience mechanic on the east coast, his toolset looks like something you would see at an Indy 500 race but better organized), within say 20 minutes he showed me what could have been my worst nightmare, brake pads that on the drivers side were worn to the steal and passenger side brake pads that looked almost new. The reason for that was the potential nightmare, the passenger side caliper was frozen from a lack of lubricant, the piston inside was frozen like it had been welded to the sides, really nervous now I asked him what's this going to mean in cost? His answer was kind of shocking really, he said "first, I think you should get a second opinion, I don't want you to think I'm doing work that's not needed and don't tell them about the caliper, let them tell you", surprised by this I did exactly that, had it inspected by a local big chain repair shop, the second I got in my car I called Charles to set another appointment, "you were dead on right I told him, they never even looked at the calipers" to fix my car, the difference in the repair cost alone was enough to warrent the call, Charles quoted me a fraction of this so called "Honorable Auto Repair shop". He showed up the next day on time again and without hesitation began working on my car and talking me through what he was doing, he is a talented mechanic with more tools that Snap On. He finished up the job and even fixed a couple of small things on his own and made no mention of cost when the time to pay him came up. Now I'm no mechanic (couldn't even fix a big wheel) but, I've had enough experience with auto mechanics to know he was very good at his job and far more reasonable. He calls me from time to time to see how my car is running concerned also that I purchased a retitled car, he is great and if you don't call him first, call him after the shock of your repair bill from your mechanic wears off, you wont regret calling him, you will regret thhat you waited. Thank You Charles, wish there was an option for a 6th or 7th star, your worth it.
