So unfortunate, great little store, but the two ladies working, or rather playing on their phones, had no customer service skills at all. On Saturday, we were the only people in the store. Nicest people! I came here not really knowing what to do, because I recently got a mini cow and by some weird coincidence he managed to wrap an old horse halter around both his horns... every time I got close to removing it, he would run away. The people at the Placer Farm Supply helped me troubleshoot a way to enclose him. It worked! This business is not just a place to purchase things for your farm animals, but a group of really wonderful people! Can't thank them enough! read more

If I could give this review a 0 star I would. What horrible customer service I experienced at this store. This is a store open to the public, and I felt like I needed to call the cops with how hostile all the employees were at me. I've been buying my products there for a while now and have spent hundreds of dollars buying my monthly products for my animals. I'm ashamed of myself that I have spent my hard earned money here. I will never go back. Not only were they completely inappropriate to me but inappropriate around my 8 year old daughter. They used bad language and escalated an issue that should've never been that escalated. The woman clerk who's bigger, was extremely rude over a receipt. Arguing with me. I have other things to do than argue about a receipt. She kept on harassing me. Instead of asking for a refund, because I was tired of spending anymore time in front of that mean person, I left to receive my products. I again got harassed and cussed out by the guy with glasses and a beard. He used bad language again around my daughter who's 8. Bad customer service and I highly recommend going to Echo Valley . I'm sure they would not be as mean over a damn receipt. Something so petty, turned into a hostile moment for me and my small child. I'm extremely upset and tempted to file a complaint with the police. This business owner or owners need to resign and reconsider their careers. Very incompetent staff as well. read more

The location and exterior of this building and store is deceiving. It is a ranch-farm supply store with tack, feed, medicines, animal care needs, fencing, gates, etc ... and a pretty nice selection of clothes and other wear inside. Baby it's warm inside! Mostly "western" wear that I'd rather refer to as farm and ranch working wear and some with flare. I love my Carhartt gear and this shop has good prices on Carhartt - for men and women. The size selections are limited but it's worth checking. Leather purses and wallets, some jewelry and accents, coats, sweaters, shirts and sweatshirts, jeans and hats, throws, home accent, rain gear, and even Carhartt dog beds. The mission today was to check out the various supply and tack shops in the greater area, pick up some gear and implements, and note what the various shops offer. This is a great place to look for needed supplies, outdoor work clothes, and western flare gifts for yourself, or others. read more

Placer Farm Supply is so helpful! We needed psyllium to prevent sand colic in our 2 horses (adopted wild Mustangs) and had a LOT of questions. The staff answered every question patiently and finally decided the best product was the pelleted supplement, which the horses think are treats! When trying out this store for my dog food needs, I was disappointed to see the girl working was not wearing a mask. The 2 older people were wearing them and I really do appreciate that, but unless we all wear them this virus is going to win, please put a mask on for the courtesy of your customers! read more

Went in to get some wire fencing to keep the horses from nibbling away my newly planted tree, came out with way more than I expected. This place is pretty cool -I was suprised at how much they offer, and their prices aren't bad. It's a ranch supply/feed store/gift and clothing store all in one. I bought a neat red western snap shirt, fitted -very stylish. Their clothing selection rivals that at Boot Barn -not as much but a good collection. I also was able to get a few things that I haven't seen at some of the other local feed supply --a black chin strap, smaller felt saddle pad, a ranch gate replacement pin hinge, meal worms (well priced), and few other unexpecteds. Prices seem very reasonable and the staff friendly, particularly the kid that loaded my wire fencing. read more
