Came here on a Friday at the start of Veteran's Day weekend with my boyfriend. It was about a 10 minute wait for the bar. The place was packed at around 7pm! Great family atmosphere and great for a date. We ordered the Mac Daddy, Sea Steak, and the Hundred Dollar. The fish was superb and fresh! Loved the flavors in the Mac Daddy. Seared tuna lightly torched with special sauce. There was masago and deep fried onions sprinkled on top which made everything so much more savory. The Sea Steak sat on top of a bed of sliced daikon and sea steak sauce. The Hundred Dollar was another variation of tuna roll with asparagus and jalapeño. Boyfriend ate it all while I wasn't paying attention, but I loved it based on the little I did get to eat. Lol. We paired everything with a cloudy sake. Noma Ramen House was closed on Sunday so we decided to check out PK Sushi. PK no longer has their AYCE option. So we ordered a few rolls off the menu to try. We tried three rolls ranging in price from $8.50 to $13.50. Everything was tasty and seemed fresh but I have to say I developed a little rash shortly after eating there. We also tried the crazy fries which had a tiny amount of garlic and some chili powder sprinkled on top. The fries needed way more garlic and were not worth the $5 charge. The rolls are really geared to their old AYCE menu as most of them had the same ingredients ie DF shrimp, avo, crab, spicy tuna etc. I would be willing to come here again but there are better sushi spots close by. read more

Overly priced. Wasn't completely happy with the roll I got. To small and the seaweed didn't taste texture wise for me good quality. Roll was long and skinny. Paid $48 for 1 bento box 1 roll and 2 drinks. I'll stick to Arigato for my sushi. Only giving second star cuz great customer service. read more

This place is the usual go to spot with the family but was disappointed with the lack of service. Don't get me wrong we love the rolls here and they are all delicious. We had the all about the PK roll, orange blossom and Grande King Kong roll. The kids eventually had the veg 1 roll that came with cucumber, asparagus and avocado. My wife and I were about to finish our food when we asked about the kids roll... they were hungry and starting to act up a bit. Come to find out they forgot about it and we had to wait for them to make it and then get the kids fed. Pretty much a 1.5 hour meal. Kind of upset that they didn't comp the kids roll for us. Came her for the first time. 4 of us ordered 5 different rolls to share. We also ordered the freaky edamames and the stuffed mushrooms. Everything was very fresh and very good! I meant to take pictures but we were busy visiting and chatting and the food was gone before we knew it! One thing we all noticed was that the "spicy" options (which was more than half of our order) was not spicy at all. One other thing was that the rolls were hard to grab as 3 of them were falling apart before we could get each piece to a plate or our mouth. It's seamed like they could have been rolled a bit tighter and one wasn't cut all tue way to the bottom. Other than these two minor things, the overall flavor of everything was very good! The restaurant is a nice size. Half of it was not being used for seating. It was a dark and rainy night so it was hard to see if they had outdoor dining available, when weather permits. Our waiter was very friendly and checked in us often to see if we needed anything and kept our drinks full. It's about a 35 mins drive to get here, but it is very well worth it and we will definitely be back! read more

We recently tried PK Sushi for the first time. It was around noon, we were hungry and the restaurant happened to be convenient. When we arrived, we were shown to our table immediately and provided menus. There were 6 or 7 folks eating when we first came into the dinning area. While we were there, the number had more than doubled. We started with miso soup and edamame .... backed with ice tea. The miso was delicious. Subsequently we selected two rolls - The BMW and the Tom. Both were pretty good, nice flavor and fresh tasting. Our favorite was the BMW - deep fried shrimp, spicy tuna, masago (roe) and onion. The Tom also consisted of deep fried shrimp, along with crab salad, cream cheese, avocado, salmon, masago and onion. Between the crab salad and cream cheese, there was too much creaminess for me, versus seafood. Still good. The staff was professional and courteous. Prices we reasonable. read more

Disappointed. Have been going to PK for as long as we have lived here - great food, great service, and a wonderful experience for the kids. Called in a to go order, but no longer allow any changes for the kids meals... ok. Kids meals used to come with a little lego-type toy and a drink - no longer. Ok. Ordered for my wife and I - total was 30% more than the menu prices online. I'm calling the restaurant, to pick up, not using an online service... call back to check and make sure I didn't miss something, and get told the kids meals now can't be had to go. Meh, never mind. When I first found out about this place, I didn't know what to expect. I ordered the Tempura and Chicken Teryaki. The Chicken Teryaki was good, but the Tempura was stale and was hard to swallow. The service was great, and the staff were friendly, taking my order a few minutes after I sat down, unlike other restaurants. Except for one off occasion, the zig zag shrimp roll here has been my favorite of its kind around. Really loaded with filling from top to tip. Love the M3 roll too. First 2.5 years were great. Way better than the other north rocklin sushi. Since then... 4 out of 4 of the last orders had shell/tail on the df shrimp. Not just an oopsy little speck but a spit the whole thing out of your mouth and quit eating that roll. This 4th one today, I specifically requested they make sure there was no shell/tail...2 of the 3 df shrimp rolls had shell. Forgetting the wasabi and ginger was just the cherry on top. I am very dossappointed at this place. Ive been coming here since they opened. I ordered today to go the creamy shrimp for $16 like I've done many times before and I always say no spicy sauce but it still comes with their special sauce and torched. I was alredy far when I was able to eat it and I found out they only gave me plain white rice with plain shrimp on top I called to see if they could some how give me a refund because this taste like nothing! and I'm not planning on eating it. The fish tasted kind of frozen and soggy. Onto my zig zag roll which was COLD. Not even lukewarm but cold, like it bad been fried in the morning and rolled up in the afternoon cold. Yuck. And my brother's shrimp rolls, all fried were just as cold, and the salmon and spicy tuna just as bland and unfresh. Awful choice to come here. And don't be fooled by half off rolls advertisement. It's already half off so you pay exactly what's on the menu. Don't be fooled, and read the fine print. So basically it's all like regular price since most rolls are. $8-$13. No big savings here. I give this place 4 stars. It's a birthday get together and sushi was the choice. Cold, rainy evening and we all needed something warm. Started off with the miso soup...nice. Had some spicy seasoned edamame...yummy! Rolls were the typical for every sushi restaurant. Nothing out of the ordinary. We are vegan and searching for sushi variety that we could get easily as take out. Ordering online was very easy. My order was ready when we arrived and we really enjoyed it when we came home to eat. If sushi is your game pk is a great place for your appetite to be fulfilled. Make sure that you are craving sushi and your hungry. Cause once you order all you can eat the menu is opened to you. From salads to rolls and also hand rolls as well. This restaurant does get busy especially during a weekend night. Luckily when I went my party and I was able to be seated before the rush and we were sat to our table right when we walked in. Tables around us were packed only minutes after our arrival. Service obviously try their best to stay on task and tend every customer in their section. And overall they do a great job at it. You might find your server.not in reach a few occassions but they will be around to grab your next round of endless sushi. If your into sports this location is a great way to catch your favorite local game. For example, tonight they were displaying the giants vs padres game during dinner. And the best part is no one can possibly block the TV from you cause not only do they have numerous TVs but they have 2 jumbo projectors as well. Try this location and get your belly filled with sushi. I just wish they were located in sac and I didn't have to drive all the way out to rocklin. Came here tonight after a long break. Ordered a few rolls, hotate nigiri, monkey eyes. The hotate nigiri was served with the side muscle on. No GOOD sushi place does this. I had to remove it before eating. It's tougher than the regular main scallop (which is also a muscle). I ordered the monkey eyes thinking they'd be like Mikuni's. I mean the owner/chef used to be a chef at Mikuni and the menu is quite similar. Anyway, the monkey eyes were mostly imitation crab. The 49er roll was unsatisfying. The cucumber kept unrolling and it was impossible to eat the roll with it on. Only thing that was good was my daughter's non-sushi roll - the avocado/cucumber roll. I have brought leftovers home to my wife and she has asked me to bring her to PK Sushi for lunch or dinner. This weekend is her birthday weekend so I decided to take her out for lunch. We were seated shortly after we arrived. We ordered sashimi as an appetizer and my wife ordered a seared salmon dish and I ordered a Hot Boy. Once our food arrived we shared our meals with one another and even ended up ordering another Hot Boy. I would normally give PK a 5 Star review, but they have literally raised their prices so high I can't afford to go there anymore. Their BBQ Tuna appetizer used to be $9.99 a year ago. Now it's $16. That's a 60% price increase. Their sushi rolls have also gone up at least 25% in price. I love their food. My husband recently went for lunch. We each had the BBQ tuna appetizer,l and a sushi roll. We shared a beer. Our bill was $85!!!! Sorry PK. I love your food, but it's become unaffordable. I realize prices of everything has gone up in the name of Covid, but it's just too much for me to enjoy unless it's a special occasion now. We used to dine there almost every week. Trying to find a sushi spot in the area and have tried a few. Hit this place for lunch on a Thursday and we were immediately seated. Ordered the sampler appetizer and was impressed with the mushrooms and rock shrimp. Edamame was a bit too cold for my taste and their version of deep fried shrimp was a bit too different for my liking.
