Traveling for work and this restaurant was highly recommended to me. They did not disappoint. So far I've had the Yoko roll, Dragon roll, Pokki Roll, Sea Weed salad roll, Dancing spicy tuna roll, Abbo bbq Tuna.

Great prices great quality definitely recommend

Been here almost everyday after work! By far the best sushi I've had since the east coast!

Broke my heart to see bad reviews on this place. I've eaten here around 20-30 times. Consistently great customer service and good quality rolls :) Even remembered the drinks I get after the first few visits. These people work hard and are open 7 days a week with barely any staff. Highly recommend! Very clean and well maintained restaurant.

Size is too big

We came to the store to make an order to go because the website is just terrible. There is mo description of the ingredients and no pictures. We came with out small dog on the leash and the lady in front started to ask us to take our dog out. That's insane, our dog didn't even care about her, she is 12 years old, we can't leave her alone even for a minute, it was very rude we just wanted to order to go. So when we arrived home (10 minutes after picking up the food) our sushi looked so terrible, it was completely unpleasant to look at them. 4th picture. All the way to home I was carrying the bag and there was no way for it to happen because of us. That's how they gave us the order. 1st picture can show you the size of my sushi, insane! I couldn't go to any other sushi place and get the same ones but twice bigger! And next were so big I scratched the skin in the mouth with them as it was baked. Well pictures show everything. I will never ever ever go there and do not recommend to visit this place. My evening had been ruined. Don't deserve even one star

Restaurant and Sushi Bar

Friendly service. Clean restaurant. Nice atmosphere. The owners seem like great people and I really wanted to like this place. The half priced sushi is half sized. The rice is missing the vinegar/seasoning, or there isn't enough. The fish is cut very small and lacked flavor.. perhaps it isn't super fresh, I'm not sure. The rolls fall apart. Partly because of the missing vinegar/seasoning. If you are looking for a nice environment with ok sushi, this could be your place. I enjoyed everything except the sushi. I did not try anything else.

If you're looking to feel transported into a true sushi restaurant, you have to come to Yoko sushi. The staff were very kind, the food was great and the experience was a treat. The inside of the restaurant makes you feel comfortable, like you're truly in a sushi house. You can tell the owners put their joy into the ambiance. Even their plates are decorated. The setting can feel intimate and I really enjoyed that. At first I was skeptical of the Japanese lasagna, but I had to try it and I would most definitely order again. I personally was excited for the Spicy Killer Roll and it did not disappoint. I recommend the Spicy Killer if you're looking for a mellow spice with a fresh flavor. The hamachi sashimi was 4/5. I would still try other types because I believe there is quality in what they are serving. You have to try it!

Hidden gem. I'm enjoying the Happy Roll and Dancing Spicy Tiger rolls. Fresh, fast, so good and reasonably priced.

The fish to rice ratio is glorious; they do not skimp out on the cuts of fish at all. My favorites of the nigiri are the yuzu yellowtail and the salmon. These two are easily the best out of them all (and the seared salmon belly, but this is only one order per person). In my opinion, the rolls themselves aren't too noteworthy. But I do check out any specials they have written on the board. We sprinkle in a few of the hot kitchen/appetizer items just to break through the routine of all the raw fish. Some notable items are the takoyaki and baked mussels - also the lychee sorbet for dessert. The staff have been great every time I've visited, too. Once, during a really busy rush, a waitress noticed that we've been waiting for our order for a long time and checked on our items for us. Another time, a waiter gave us a giant bowl of ginger after we requested refills. The latest time, our waitress advised us that the item we ordered wasn't very popular and suggested that we only get one just to try it out first -- and she was a saint for that! That truffle salmon dish wasn't great, but she was wonderful for warning us. We really appreciated the transparency.

We were treated to a celebratory dinner here and had a really nice experience overall. The staff…read morewas warm and friendly, and there were plenty of food and drink options to choose from. We opted for à la carte instead of all you can eat and tried a mix of classic rolls like yellowtail, along with fresh rolls including the Hamachi Lover and Salmon Lover. We also ordered the Sara special roll, sampled the albacore, and tried the mussels. Everything was beautifully presented. All around, a pleasant dining experience.

We came on Saturday at 6:30pm for party of 2. Walked in and had a 5 minute wait for sushi bar or 45-50 minute wait for table. We sat at the sushi bar which was great. Was able to order sushi with the bar and drinks and other items with the server. We got some good recommendations from the chef at the bar. It came with edamame to start. We got the hamachi fin which was delicious. The hamachi was sliced thin. The sauce was sooo good like peppery and lemony soy. I kept if for the other dishes. The chef even offered me a small Togo container of it since I liked it so much! We also got the daikon hamachi, black and white and truffle sashimi. All were really good. The black and white came with black tobiko on top and had really spicy jalapeño. We also got the lychee shock and Japanese fashioned. Japanese fashioned was perfect and not overly sweet with syrup. Lychee shock came with a small flower on the side to bite for a tingly taste with the drink which was unique. Overall highly recommend! Fish was so fresh! Drinks were tasty too! Would come back! The place is somehow intimate while being open. We really enjoyed that. We sat on the right side of the restaurant in a booth. We both ordered a bento box. Randy got shrimp tempura and crispy gyoza and I got chicken teriyaki and crispy gyoza. The boxes come with a cucumber salad, a mixed salad, rice, sauce and the items ordered. Everything was really good. I'm always leery about getting chicken out that I *know* isn't chicken breast because I've had experiences with grisly, fatty meat but this meat was excellent. I squeezed some of the orange slices I received on top of the dresses mixed salad and it was delicious. We also ordered the Kakiage Don to start. It comes with a ton of rice, which we didn't eat, and was also delicious. We will definitely be back!

Part of me didn't want to write this review because I didn't want this place to get even more busy…read more But this place is the best sushi you will get in Sacramento/Placer county! I, honestly, think the sushi and sashimi are better than Kru. The fish is so tender, buttery, and will melt in your mouth. The appetizers and rolls are SUPER yummy, with good flavor combinations. And the sushi chefs, servers, and staff are friendly and professional. They really know their fish, and are happy to explain the different cuts to you. They treat their customers well, and as a result, it is obvious that they get a lot of regulars. The one down side is that they don't take reservations, and depending on the day, it can be a long wait to be seated. So, I recommend that you don't come starving. But they are good about taking down your phone number and calling you when a table is ready. When it is a long wait, we usually go to the brewery across the street to hang out, and that works well for us. The ambiance is casual, so if you are looking for a fancy dining experience, this might not be the place for you. But the food is first rate! I highly recommend!
