I don't mind spending extra time on the chair if the work is thorough. However, I spent over an hour and a half only to get very poor results. One nail had bubbles so she had to remove the shellac polish and redo. It still looked awful after. She put 4 coats of polish on one nail and two on the rest. I voiced out my displeasure to the owner, and she tried to help but the end result still looked terrible. The owner was apologetic and seemed sincere. A $5 off coupon for next service was provided. Although I appreciate the goodwill gesture, I don't think I'll return. Too bad because the location is convenient. Forgot to mention: their shellac light wasn't working on a couple of tables. Had to move chairs several times.

They also do spa services such as waxing as well. Do call ahead of time as this nail salon does get busy! They can try to accommodate walk ins but you may have to wait a bit or schedule an appointment another day. I had gotten my nails done at Daisy Nails a few years ago and decided to return for their services. My friend and I opted to go to Daisy Nails and Spa for our manicures (removal and shellac manicure for me, a shellac mani and pedi for my friend) on a Friday afternoon. I called about 3 weeks prior to the appointment as I wanted to make sure we got our manis together or around the same time. The staff were prompt to take my name and number down during the phone call. Day of our appointment, although we arrived on time we still had to wait about 10-15 min for our nail technicians. I probably waited a bit longer. The place was a little over half full and all the nail technicians were busy with other customers. My shellac removal and manicure took almost 1.5 hours long (usually would take me about an hour at another salon, however, I did have to wait a bit in the beginning). My nail technician was attentive and friendly. I had 2 split nails which she was aware of and took care to cover them up. She also listened to how I wanted to shape my nails and made sure I was okay with the length. Manicure wise, she did a great job! My friend was also happy with her mani and pedi services. If you pay cash you don't need to pay tax. They do however, accept credit and debit as well. Overall, good salon around the neighbourhood. It is a popular place so it does get quite busy, best to book an appointment ahead of time, especially on the weekends!

The shellac color choices are enormous, and they also do nail design for an extra (yet reasonable) price. This I like very much. We went for single color -- me pink, my friend black. The staff speak primarily Vietnamese, so you may want to book with someone who speaks English if you want to communicate directly with them. I had a non-English speaker work on me at first, but Scarlett had to jump in and take over when I couldn't communicate to the lady I wanted my nails trimmed as short as possible. Scarlett was very friendly and did an ok job, but did cause a mild case of bleeding on one finger while trimming cuticles, which she immediately stopped with antiseptics. She would also pause for a bit to talk to other staff or customers, which for me was a bit annoying. At the end, the color was pretty and shiny and all but there were a bit of air bubbles, and I'm a perfectionist. At this point, I would have decided not to come back despite how I'm paying much more at my current go-to nail salon. BUT!!! Scarlett caught me staring at my nails and asked if there was anything she could fix, and then asked her colleague Dieu (hope I spelled this right) who was working on my friend to help me when he was done. My friend and I both had a great experience with Dieu, as he did my friend's nails perfectly the first time and fixed all mine's flaws. My nails ended up pretty and super shiny and as if they've been done perfectly the first time. Also, Scarlett said they have 1-week warranty if anything happens to the shellac nails. I hope I won't have to use this, but for those who care -- FYI. 3 stars for the initial quality (but for the $30 it's okay -- my current salon just spoils me I guess), but 5 stars for the attentive follow-up and the fixes. I will come again, but will be sure to book with Dieu for his meticulous work on my friend and me.
