Came in to fix one nail. I am guessing that the money wasn't good enough for the lady to put in any effort or workmanship. The length was fine, but the nail looked nothing like the others which are pointed... She left it rounded and I had to pick up the file and do the rest myself. She came back and said it was all done and I could go. I asked if she was going to put top coat and she asked if I wanted it?¿? Went on to charge me $5 to fix one acrylic nail that I had to file myself. Clearly $2 more than any other place I've visited in a very long time. Very greedy with no intention of keeping a customer. Better off going somewhere else. read more

I went here a little while ago and I don't think I will come back for a few reasons. For background, I got a gel manicure and pedicure and my friend got a regular mani/pedi. 1) had to wait over half an hour when we booked an appointment. 2) friends manicure and pedicure was very rushed and they didn't even clean up the cuticles. I'm talking 15 mins max for both manicure and pedicure and barely any massage. 3) The gel manicure was painful. I am used to a bit of burning when getting gel, which should not happen anyway, but this was insane..it felt like my nail beds were on fire. I believe my nail beds were way over filed. The gel was then put on thick, underfiled and the painting was also not great and is uneven. Cuticles were not taken care of either. Also i now notice that the tips used were not the right size and some of my natural nail is visible on the sides. 4) I have an ingrown toenail from my own pedicure, which I did not have before. Also, I did not even touch my toes and the polish has already chipped (afternoon of). My toe is red and inflamed and possibly infected. After more than a year of not getting nails done and treating myself, I am beyond disappointed and won't go back and am hoping I don't have an infection in my big toe. read more

Went there a few days ago only because my nail tech is out of the country. I didn't have to wait at all when I got there, the nail tech I got was supper nice, although I didn't really know what colours o wanted. Anyways when she was done putting the acrylic on my nails and she started shaping, a few nails were longer then the other and also crooked, I kept showing her which nails needed fixing and she said "no problems I'll fix it" The only thing I didn't like is they charge by the amount of colour polish you put on guessing $5 for each colour you want which is ridiculous! But apart from that everything was OK I'm still not gonna leave my nail tech for them tho read more

The staff at this place are very friendly and the service is fast. I decided to get a shellac pedicure and at $40, I thought it was reasonably priced. There are a lot of colours to choose from for both shellac or regular manis/pedis. I would definitely recommend checking out Nuvo Nails. read more

Very friendly environment, but the work was done super quick so half a$# work..my acrylic nails were uneven and I got almond shape instead of rounded(I had to reshape them when I got home) and the pedi was not done right cause there was no callus removal at all just a foot scrub which I could have done myself...cuticle work was done wrong cause my skin around my nail was sensitive for days after...I went here for convenience but will probably never go back read more

Never in my life have I ever felt so disrespected while getting my nails done and I've been to my fair share of nail salons as I get my nails done frequently. I was in the area visiting family so I decided to try the Nail Gallery at Keele & Wilson. The only reason I chose this nail salon opposed to the other nail salons on Keele is because they closed an hour later than the others. Anyways I start off with a pedicure from a very friendly and polite nail tech. She did an amazing job and was very pleased but was told that another lady would be doing my manicure as she was not trained to do bio-gel nails. From the get go, this nail tech grabs my fingers and proceeds to huff & puff while doing my nails. A little advice lady, if you hate your job so much why do this? Also as a paying customer, I shouldn't have to tell you to correct your work as you are the professional. All but ONE of my nails came out crooked and she blames it on the nail polish colour! It's not the colour, it's you rushing your work and not caring about the quality. The funny thing is, everything came out to be around $90 with tip, that's including a pedicure and bio gel tips. Mg friends laughed at the prices I told them I paid. Quite pricey for such a dirty nail salon with a rude nail tech. Refuses to give me the owners name or do anything to help my situation. She just ups and leaves. Don't take your frustrations from your personal life onto the customers. You stepped on the foot of the wrong person today. Also, if you have a problem, say it to my face and not your coworkers because you never know if that customer can understand what you're saying. P.s. I don't even have to disclose which nail tech did this hack job on my nails. You can tell from her face when you walk in how miserable she is. read more

Called in and asked for the prices of shellac on toes. Not sure who I spoke to, but they told me $20. That was the first time I've ever gone out to get my toes does so I was totally unaware of what to expect. So I went there, and a young boy (who looks like maybe he's in high school) started doing washing, massaging and doing pedicure things on my feet. At first, I thought everything was great (they turned on the massage chair for me and I for once did not have to worry about screwing up my paint job as well as waiting for my toes to dry). However, as the person was buffing down my feet, I felt some sort of pain on my toes but I kept from saying anything as I didn't want to be "that customer". After the painting was all done, he used his nail to dig into my toes to remove the shellac he had gotten on the side of my toes. That also hurt, but a huge part of me told myself "he looked like a young student and he probably just wants to make extra money to fund either his schooling or hobbies and I get it.. I was there and life sucks working with customers as they can be terrible. I've had customers in retail ruin my life and I'm not gonna be that customer to him." So I go up to pay, and the lady says "$40". And in my head, I was like "that's not what I heard on the phone but okay maybe this goes to him and he probably needs it". So I paid it (tipping him another $5 as well). I went home, looked at my toes and they looked as shitty as if I were to do it at home myself, and it turned out I had gotten a cut on my toe from the excessive buffing. I was also told by many girls that shellac should not cost anything MORE THAN $20Needless to say, I was scammed for another $20 and my anxious ass was too scared and guilty to speak up about it. read more

This is the worst nail salon I have been to! I have never left a review for anything but felt the need to for this crappy excuse of a nail salon! I got shellac done for my nails and tipped the ladies $5/ea because I was late for my appointment. Everything looked perfect in the beginning but 4 days later, literally FOUR days later my nail polish started to chip without me doing any heavy work with my hands.. I couldn't go back to the salon right away because I had work but I went in exactly 3 days later which would make it a week after I got my nails done. I get there and they weren't being helpful or understanding at all. they kept blaming me saying I probably tried to peel them off or did heavy work and I tried to explain that it shouldn't even budge in the first week regardless of heavy duty the work was, which it wasn't. Long story short they didn't even offer to do it over for me they just offered to clean it up for "free" which I think is pretty bullshit cause it's their fault so why should I even pay for another nail color let alone just cleaning it up. My friend told them we will have to leave a bad review for her salon for their poor customer service because they weren't helping us and they said "go ahead do it". While she was taking a photo of my hands to use for the review before they took the nail polish away, the lady at the nail salon stormed at her yelling about how rude she is for taking a photo of my nails in her salon and she explained that she would have to show proof on her review and the lady told us both to get out of her salon and didn't even finish cleaning my nails! I am pretty sure they use fake shellac on their customers to make them come back and I find it so annoying that they would treat their nice customers this way! If I went in there yelling and swearing they would have fixed it for me right away but because I was nice, they took advantage of my niceness by not offering to fix it and then kicking us out of the salon because we wanted to write a bad review.
