The salon itself is so cute and they have Netflix going and wifi for you if you need. I find my phones reception is a bit spotty so I use their wifi. The only complaint I have is not their fault but parking can be tough when there isn't much but you can park on the street at the houses across too. Their booking system is so quick and easy- always have appointments at any time of any day. I love the flexibility! I usually get the $55 gel overlay. There is a cash discount so bring cash! I was greeted by a friendly front desk staff who asked me immediately if I wanted water or raspberry tea. Even though she did forgot to bring me the tea, I was impressed with another staff who asked when she took me to my manicurist. They also gave me a hot towel to clean my hands. One of the reasons I didn't give this place a 5 is because they were late seating me. Even though, they were apologetic, I like appointments that are on time and not 15 mins late. Having said this, I do have to give them cred for taking my friend who was also late to the appointment! My manicurist, Rebecca was very friendly. I told her I wanted shellac with easy nail art. I showed her a sample and she immediately knew what to do. She picked a really nice base for my nails and worked with what I wanted, but also added her own creativity. The only other reason why I am not giving a 5 is because she told me at the end that the nail art was $12 instead of $10 (price for easy art). I think this should have been told right up front so I am not surprised. Even if I made changes midway, i would have liked a heads up. End of the day, it was only $2 extra, but it's the principle. Despite this, I truly love love my nail work and appreciated Rebecca's attention to detail and patience with me. The cost of these nails weren't cheap - I paid $90 including tax and tip. I didn't know there was a difference and they conveniently didn't take credit cards. I asked if there was a difference in conversion between USD and CAD and the lady said no difference. It was my first time in Canada so I was panicking looking through my purse and wallet and got $137 in USD and she said that she'll take that cash and to come back with $3 more USD later. I thought it was an expensive pedi and gel nails (very short French tip nails no mani) for the US but just though the Canada charges more. Only to find out that she basically cheated me out of money and tipped themselves a lot. They totally took advantage of me. My fault, I guess, for thinking someone wouldn't do that. Lesson learned. I've been going here for months and I feel like I've known them for years. My nails last longer here than most places I've been, and they are always to my liking. They don't rush, and are great at what they do. I'm also a fan of online booking for my busy and last minute schedule. They care deeply about what they do and the service they offer. I never feel like I'm being pressured to add more or do more, I'm always treated with utmost respect, and I'm remembered. They're also incredibly grateful. There's a TV with CP24 playing, it's very clean with lots of sun light, and plenty of parking.
