Literally. However I booked the appointment hoping for the best. And I was not disappointed in the slightest. I was greeted at the door by a very friendly face - the same person who was cutting my hair. I came on for a cut, however you will see in the attached photo my hair was kind of... terrible. I called it seaweed. I had a terrible orange band of colour (from a box dye kit I used a while back.. pro tip. Dont do that lol) the roots were blue and the ends were green. In other words. A mess. Not even a hot one. Anyway. I digress. I had problem hair. So number one was to freshen my cut. Make it even, layer it, give it a side shave and keep the length. My stylist Natalia Titoud did an AMAZING job. Like I said however, I had initially come in for only a cut. While she was washing my hair I asked about colour - to make a long story shorter she said she could most certainly do that too. She also had time which was fantastic. Not only was she able to fix my awful hair - she gave me confidence. She also worked under my time constraint (as I had work that day) in a very professional manner. I will most definitely be going back. I have never been more satisfied with a salon experience in my life. My stylist was amazing. And even more so, the other staff were fantastic too! Helping each other out without hesitation when required. Friendly and relaxing environment. Yep. It's safe to say I would reccomend this salon to anyone. I waited a while to review this place as I wanted to see how my colour got along. It's been about two weeks and I have never had so many compliments on my hair. Ever. I could tell instantaneously she was a hair expert in the way she handled my thin fine hair. She was so gentle, and gave me beautiful icy highlights. She also cut my hair into exactly what I asked for. Despite having thin hair most hairdressers talk me out of layers but I wanted them and she didn't try to talk me out of it and just gave me an expert haircut that was exactly what I asked for. It's run by an older European man (either Italian or Portuguese, I can't tell) but the Polish female hairdressers are what make this place amazing. Sure, they're a bit chatty sometimes and have a lot of Polish clients, but if you don't mind that, you should give this place a try. They speak both English and Polish. I've rated them highly because they consistently do well in the following categories: HAIR CUTS - My sister and mom also get their hair done there, and considering the three of us have completely different styles and the ladies at Monaco can make us all happy, you can tell they're really talented. COLOUR - I used to go to a place where anyone who got highlights got one or both of the same two colours. That won't happen here. They're really good at mixing the exact colour(s) you want. STYLING - This salon did all the up-do's for the girls in my sister's wedding (including mine) and we were all really happy. It looked great all night and did not feel like it was caked in hair products. Plus, if you go in there with an idea/picture of what you want, they'll give great advice on how it may look on you if you ask them. I can go anytime and be assured that I can trust any of them threading my brows. And they are inexpensive. Over all, the salon is clean and sanitary. I feel comfortable going here for waxing and threading, and have not experienced any issues so far. The ladies are wonderful and to chat with. Highly reccomend for amazing quality haircuts, color, and more!…read more I wanted to dye my hair a different color. Originally, i had like 3-5 different hair salons to choose including Fortelli. I narrowed down based on the best reviews possible and the nearest location. I ended up picking this place! I was able to get a consultation and drove by. The place look amazing! Everyone was so nice. They offered some hot tea or coffee to drink if i needed but i was okay. It was sweet of them though! Before i did the hair coloring session, i had to pay a deposit to ensure my spot for the day then when i'm done completely, i pay the remaining amount. I forgot whom i spoke to but i wanted an ash brown balayage. The lady said my hair is too long and dry and probably would cost anywhere near $600+. She suggested i go for a dark caramel brown since if we go for ash brown, it might take two session. My hair inspiration picture was a little lighter so i agreed and went with the hairstylist's idea. We set out the price as $400+ instead since i had a conversation with my mom and we mutually agreed i'd have my hair cut before we do the actual process. I wasn't sure if i'm allergic to any of the hair products they use including the bleach involved. She kindly put some of the bleach on my arm and said if i don't feel any reaction then i'm good, if so, i'd have to call her to let her know. I didn't have reaction, it was good to go. The hair process took about 4-6 hours. We did the bleaching session, which was an hour (i think). The shampoo and conditioner, was just few minutes. After that, we then put the color in and let it rest before we wash that out. It was such a crazy experience to see my color going from black to light blonde for the bleaching part! The hairstylist blowdried and curled my hair. It looked amazing! I find the price quite expensive but it was worth it! I gave her tip as well before leaving the place. My balayaged hair lasted almost 2 years. There was no orange strands which some people did went through when having colored hair, i didn't get it! I was able to wash normally as i would. Otherwise, lovely experience! PS: this happened in 2019 before covid!
