This spot had gotten a bad rep back in the day... but times have changed & so has the bar! I've come here for years, during the day for meals inside & outside with my family, and at night with friends. Never a long wait for drinks, friendly staff, & good affordable food! All different types of live music on Saturday nights are also great time! If you're looking for a fun, casual time out, give them a try!

This is the Firehouse burger with homemade chili, melted cheddar and crispy fried onions!

It just gets better & better! Since my last review I've been back 3 times for lunch and tonight was dinner! Patti the co-owner came to our table and we talked food, plus when she found out I like Margaritas she made one personally for me that was "Smokin Goooood" We started off with wings (medium heat) which were plump & tasty with just the right amount of heat. We also had corn chowder that was totally homemade and delish. I had one of the specials a chicken panini (Oh do I love their Paninis) with spinach, mozzarella and an awesome sauce. The Mrs. had Patti's Favorite Salad and added grilled chicken, fresh, plenty of food and totally healthy. My buddy who was celebrating an anniversary had the Firehouse Burger (Photos to follow) All were well prepared, fresh and tasty. This place absolutely has the best burgers around, not to mention awesome homemade onion rings! You'll have to go on your own, I won't be posting more, however, if you come in there's a chance I'll be there ;-)

Looked over the menu. The set up inside was very nice and retro. I decided to order the cheesesteak which came with a small order of french fries In about 15 minutes, the order came out. Everything looked very good. Nice soft Roll golden french fries I had ordered mushrooms to be added to the cheesesteak Cheese onions mushrooms, peppers. All in good proportion. Steak was very flavorful chopped up nicely. French fries were nice and crispy on the outside. Good potato taste from the inside. The cheesesteak was not greasy like some places I've had cheese steaks. The french fries also were nice and crispy, but not greasy. I appreciated that because every cheese steak sandwich I have eaten . Does has some grease I suppose when it's prepared but some have had too much I was in the mood for a hot dog after having the cheesesteak. So I ordered one with raw onions, relish, light, sauerkraut, and bacon. After about 12 minutes, it came out. It was very impressive looking. Nice toasted roll hotdog split in half just the right proportions of each of the ingredients on the top all the ingredients complimented each other, but didn't take away from the taste of the hotdog itself. I could tell all the toppings on the hot dog . Were of very good quality. The only criticism I would have is that the portion of the steak in the sandwich was not as much as I had expected. Even though the price of everything has gone up for $18, I would've expected a l more meat in the sandwich. But I would go back there again and try one of the cheeseburgers and most likely get the hotdog again along with french fries The service from the young lady was very good

When we went in, we were seated quickly and service was friendly. The menu had a variety of burgers, sandwiches, wraps, wings, salads, and more. We got wings and burgers. The burgers were big and tasty. The wings were crispy and delicious. I will definitely have to make it back there the next time I'm in town.

We came as we understood the wings were the best in Westchester County... After trying two varieties, and being on a perennial wing trail chase for the last four years... I find that title difficult to believe. Wings were meaty, cooked correctly, and came well appointed with blue cheese and celery. Plus, I'm a sucker for wing establishments that provide the wooden bowl for bones. I love that. Otherwise, I found the wings lightly sauced, and kind of dry... We tried the blazers traditional, which are fried, sauce, then refried... They needed one more dunk in sauce to be top-notch. Our second order was their teriyaki wings... much more palatable... But we're still lacking. And I'm not a huge fan of wings that are not sauced in a hot sauce base. The opportunity to add a side of wasabi sauce to any wings was a welcome addition... As we needed the moisture. We did not try any other menu items, but the pub food looked delicious... And our server was fantastic. I do look forward to going back and trying to order things slightly differently... I'll chalk this first experience up on me not really strategically placing my order or knowing how to maximize the potential of a really great place. I know next time will be better.

Our Yelp Elite crew was out in Cold Spring looking for food when we happened to walk into Doug's…read morePretty Good Pub. After eating there, I can confidently say Doug, your pub makes pretty good food. Our party of four was seated at a high-top, and the feasting began. They've got a great beer selection and took care of us right away. Food-wise, we started with the chicken wings, which were huge and packed with flavor. For me, the main event was the original patty melt. You know when something tastes homemade, but in the absolute best way possible? That was this burger. It was hot, juicy, and dripping with flavor, with perfectly caramelized onions and melted cheese. What really made it work was the bread, it still had a crunch instead of turning soggy. Every dip into the Thousand Island just made it better. The onion rings were a perfect sidekick. Around the table, my brother-in-law went with the Nutty Hog and enjoyed it, my sister liked her quesadilla, and my wife was happy with her chicken. No complaints anywhere. You know how I feel about local spots, and this place was full of charm and character. The drinks were cold, the food was solid, and I'll absolutely be back. 5/5 stars

The burgers are served on English muffins, which I've never seen before. I'm not the biggest fan of English muffins, but it seemed to be their specialty, I figured I'd try it and I'm glad I did! It was, as the restaurant name suggests, pretty good! I got The Burger and added pepperjack, which was exactly what it was needed. This was a great place to stop in for a casual but good lunch on a cold day walking around Cold Spring.
