Okay I love brick oven Naples style pizza and this has to be one of the best I've ever had in LA. The dough, sauce and buffalo cheese is perfect but the speciality pizzas they have are insane. The beef cheek one is stellar and I need to try all of them. I only knock a star for the wait time and price point for size being so high. Service is good and vibes are simple clean!
Sei Pizza bar opened up its first official sister restaurant to accommodate the growing number of foodies. This new location has carried over some of the fan favorites, and then some new dishes to meet the growing dining experience. Had to order the Diavola and the Mala garden which were as always spectacular. Mala garden has become my absolute favorite pizza served on EARTH! The spicy lamb and cilantro flower herbs with lemon is just extraordinary. Unless you are a vegan you must try the Mala if you haven't already. Tried the Patate for the first time. It is a white sauce pie with potatoes, garlic, and provolone. The garlic note was a perfect blend with the potato (just imagine garlic mashed potato but better). This was also a very close second for me. I highly recommend this pie as well. Lastly, we tried Hailey which I believe is a new dish. This is also a white sauce pie with zucchini ricotta, lemon zest, and topped with salmon roe. Interesting flavor, but the salmon roe, for me personally, did not hit the Spot the same way as the others. Overall cute intimate dining room with open kitchen. The food remain amazing, incomparable, and on a level in its own. Pizzas are top-notch. Would highly recommend to any foodies or travelers in town.
I had a great meal at Pizzeria Sei! I was finally able to get reservations with a friend on a weekend evening. Otherwise, we potentially would've waited a few hours. The Sei Margherita was simple but well executed. It was a bit oily, but had a nice balance of cheese, tomtato, and other fresh ingredients. The Patate pizza had crispy potatoes that made it savory and was my favorite pizza of the night. You can definitely tell that there's quality with the pizza, and staff was friendly and attentive.
Online reservations are not on released on doordash like advertised on their website. It's actually on seven rooms, which I found out through Reddit. https://www.sevenrooms.com/explore/pizzeriasei/reservations/ I got reservations for 4pm on a Friday and there was a long line of people without reservations waiting outside hoping to get a table when they opened. I've been to their original location on Pico-Roberson and know they have great pizzas. We tried the pizzas unique to this location. Sad that I didn't see the Riviera on the menu. Everything we ate was delicious. Corn Croquettes were crispy and crunchy on the outside but not oily. Broccolini was delicious with crisp capers on top. Ragu Pizza was very comforting and I loved the Thai basil on it. Hailey Pizza was my favorite because it was light and refreshing. Mala garden is complex and if you like cumin and lamb, you'll love it. I would skip the dessert because while delicious, it's expensive for what it is (ice cream with whipped cream on top with various toppings) $19 The modern decor was clean and service was great. There's street parking and residential parking for 2 hrs until 6pm.
Great service, no notes. Friendly staff. Chef himself was working at the window while we were there. Food came out very quick. Corn croquettes were incredible, like a corn portage in a fried ball. Great play on temperature with the warm corn and the cold cheese topping. Sei margherita sets out to be exactly the pizza it describes itself as. Dough super airy. Picking it up, I was surprised it was so light. Wonderful tomato sauce and cheese alongside the slight char of the crust. Really good. Mala lamb is like a Chinese skewer party on a pizza, with cilantro to bring some freshness. The pizza is fried then baked which makes it super crispy, but surprisingly not heavy at all. Each bite made me feel like I could eat infinite of either pizza. Pizzeria sei is a pizza place that makes exactly the kinds of pizzas it sets out to make. Light, airy, classic and experimental flavors. Nothing bombastic in flavor, but like pho or udon so clean it leaves you discovering more in each bite.
I love pizza and I'm always hunting new pizza. I was a bit disappointed in Sei's Original location and wanted to give this new, second location a try. This location is larger and has much more seating. It's nice and new inside. I suppose the trade off is that you lose that bar experience that the smaller location offers. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed in this location as well. I would rate the food as good but nowhere close to good enough to have a #2 in the US title. Honestly, not even #2 in LA. FOOD Mala Garden - this pizza is fried and baked. I thought the flavors were pretty good. I liked the texture of the center of the pizza. The outer areas of pizza, where the crust is, was too hard to bite and eat. It's unfortunate because my problem with their Margarita is that the pizza center is too soft, wet and floppy. Corn Croquette - you get two of these per order. They have a decent corn flavor and a nice crunch. I thought it was decent but $19 is also really steep for this item. SERVICE Service was good for me. Not extraordinary but no complaints. PARKING Free street parking. Wasn't an issue for me but there's a chance it can be. They also have a valet option but I'm not sure if it's daily.
It was like we were meant to eat there. We walked up after seeing that their reservations were completely booked for the trip, and we were hoping to get a shot-ish wait before being able to get in. The hostess then told us that she could seat us immediately if we could be done in an hour. Challenge accepted. Our server, Eddie, was so good. Super chill dude that made GREAT recommendations and said I sounded like Dimebag Darrell . We got the Ragú and The Mala Garden pies with Corn Croquettes and the Vegan Gem salad. This crust is some of the best anything I've ever had. Like you will look forward to finishing the pizza so you can easy the crust, and the tomato sauce is absolutely some of the best I've ever had. They fly their tomatoes in from Italy and that shit really does make a difference. This place was a great surprise and honestly the best pizzas I've probably ever had. Do yourself a favor if you're in the area.
Pizzeria Sei on Tabor lives up to the hype. Managed to snag a reservation for the first seating. Staff was friendly and patient. The cozy restaurant has a clean modern look. We started with the Caesar salad and corn croquettes (the cc are seasonal btw). Both delicious. For pizza we opted for the Margherita Sei and Hailey. The crust is nice and thin yet fluffy. The Hailey reminded me of pizza from Japan and was a perfect harmony of so many ingredients including fish eggs. Dessert was fun, with an à la mode version of tiramisu being the favorite. Can't wait to go back!
Amazing pizza combinations and crust. Not every one was a hit, our least favorite was the patate which was a surprise to me as I usually love a white pizza. Patate tasted like a sour cream potato chip pizza, not bad but just didn't compare to everything else. My faves were the sei margherita, 4 culture diavola, ragu. Wife's favorite was diavola for the super thin crust, I thought the gochujang was too sweet but loved everything else on it. Ragu was like eating a good pasta in a pizza form. Sei margherita just had such a delicate lightness and the only pizza I would want to eat more then one slice of. Others loved the fried and baked mala garden but it was too fried and crispy for me, the flavor was fine. Corn croquettes were bursting with flavor, reminded me of the corn potage turtle chip! Only thing we didn't enjoy was the tiramisu parfait, the flavor just wasn't good overall, didn't enjoy the ice cream nor the mascarpone cream nor coffee soaked cake.

YUM! This pizza was phenomenal. We had the margarita and then 2 more but one with beef pepperoni and one with salami. The salami was THE BEST! Would order again. Dying to try the wagu pizza but it was almost $40 Be careful with street parking regulations and try and come before 4 if you're a walk-in.
Looking for the best pizza? Say less, it's here at Pizzeria Sei. Already love their original location at Pico, but this one stands out for their atmosphere, decor, and space. From the open kitchen to the thoughtfully curated utensils, their attention to detail is exquisite. I came with a group of five, so we were luckily able to try majority of the menu. We were not disappointed by anything we ordered here from the starters to the pizza. To start, we had 3 Suppli Al Telefono ($9 each), Corn Croquette (2pcs for $19), Broccolini ($19), and Vegan Gem Salad ($19). Both veggies were bright and refreshing, which is much needed before all the carbs. The fry on both the suppli and croquette were incredible. They were fried to perfection with no oil taste. I was especially in love with the corn croquette, which was nothing like I've ever had before. I'm telling you, this is a must. Our table ended up ordering another one of these for dessert because we couldn't stop thinking about it. For the pizza, we had the Mala Garden ($36), 4 Culture Diavola ($38), Ragu ($37), and Sei Margherita ($27). While the pizzas are on the pricier end, it is well worth the flavors and texture you get. I really enjoyed how unique the mala and diavola ones were. While both toppings were amazing, I loved the super thin and crispy crust on the diavola and the fluffy focaccia-like crust on the mala --so damn good! The ragu and margherita were both made with such fresh ingredients, but I find the Neapolitan style a bit messier to eat. Overall, everything was delicious and I'd make the trek out here again. Note: They offer valet in front, but we all found street parking nearby.
Based on the reviews, I really wanted to like Pizzeria Sei. Unfortunately, I walked away thinking I probably wouldn't be back. We had reservations for 4:00 p.m. and were among the first tables seated. The dining room is smal with tables inside and out front. It is a new restaurant and it feels new. Our waiter came over without introducing himself or offering any sort of greeting. He simply asked whether we had been there before. He then told us that because we and the table next to us had been seated at the same time, he would be handling both tables together because it was easier for him. When he returned, he asked whether we had any questions about the menu, and we placed our order. At the neighboring table, one of the guests said she thought he was going to explain the menu first. He looked at her and replied, "I already did." The entire interaction felt unapologetically off. We ordered the corn croquettes, the Margherita pizza and the Diavolo pizza, along with a glass of wine. As we waited, I noticed food and drinks being delivered throughout the restaurant. Although we had been among the first people seated, tables that arrived at least 15 minutes after us were receiving their food. The croquettes eventually arrived, and I had to ask (a different server) about the wine. By 4:45, we were still waiting for our pizzas, while seemingly every other table had already received theirs. When our pizzas finally arrived, no one apologized for the delay or returned to ask whether everything was okay. I also was never asked whether I wanted another glass of wine. As for the food, neither of us knew what to expect from the croquettes, but neither of us cared for them. The texture was marshmallow-like, and although there was some corn flavor, I wanted the texture and substance of actual corn. The pizzas were beautifully presented. However, as other reviewers have mentioned, the Margherita was very wet and became soggy quickly. The Diavolo was the star of the evening, and we both genuinely enjoyed it. One very good pizza wasn't enough to make up for the dismissive service and unexplained wait.

Came in with a walk in on a weekend afternoon. We came right at opening at 4pm and there was already a line! It seemed like they sat the parties with the reservations first then took in whatever walk ins were next in line. We placed our number and went home (yes! The perks of living so close) until they called with an availability. We walked back and were seated around 5pm for our dinner. We were at the bar which is always fun since we can see the chefs in the kitchen. We tried out two different pizzas- as pictured. I was so pleasantly surprised by the mala garden! The dough was fried to perfection and the tender lamb chunks were so savory! I also loved the croquettes. The diavola was a bit too sweet for my taste. Service was friendly and fast. The pizza is amazing. Can't wait to come back to this beloved, high quality neighborhood gem! read more
As a fan of the original Sei Pizza Bar, I had to try Pizzeria Sei. It wasn't super difficult to get a reservation - you have to remind yourself to check right when they release at noon a week prior but as long as you check right at noon you should be able to get one! The new location is on Overland, a busy street so parking is a bit scarce so definitely get their ahead of your reservation if you don't want to valet. It's more spacious than the original and accommodates up to parties of four. The ambiance is chic and modern and the music is just the perfect level so you can actually enjoy conversation. Our server, Roy, was a gem. He helped us with tasting a couple of wines. I got the orange wine (the only one on the menu) and it was perfectly funky, but easy drinking with the pizzas. We ordered the gem salad which was fresh and herbaceous. A nice starter before the pizzas arrived. We also got the meatballs and the octopus. The meatballs were juicy and perfectly cooked and the accompanying sauce was sweet and savory at the same time. The octopus was a star - tender and slightly charred on the outside. We got three pizzas - the Sei Margherita, the Mala Garden and the Diavola. All three were unique in their own way. The Sei Margherita was juicy and unlike any margherita I've had before. It folded perfectly and every bite was delicious. The Mala Garden was my favorite. It was a focaccia and was so light and airy. It didn't feel heavy despite the medley of richer ingredients like the creme fraiche and the lamb. Last, the Diavola was a great way to end. Sweet and spicy, the blend was the perfect lead in to dessert. The tiramisu parfait was a delight! Classic tiramisu flavors, but that milk gelato hit the palette nicely after the pizzas. All in all, Pizzeria Sei lived up to the hype and I'm so happy it's 5 minutes away from us - we'll definitely be back! read more

We had the classic pizza sei and the thin crusted pizza with nduja sausage. We actually enjoyed that one more because it's thinner and crispy. It just depends on your personal preferences. Pizza came out fresh. Also had the brokkolinis on the side which were scrumptious can def recommend it! A little pricey for a pizza but all in all can't go wrong with this place. Wouldn't necessarily come back. This location is so much nicer than the og place so if you want a nice ambiance come here. Getting seated was also really hard, we've waited around 1.5 hour and came in an hour after they opened. Getting a reservation online was almost impossible so def if you can make a reservation do that. There will always be a waiting time if you don't come in with a reservation. read more

Was able to get a reservation for 2 on a Sunday afternoon at 4 pm right when they open and it was a great experience!!!! The server was great and so was the sommelier!!!! The food was absolutely incredible!!!! And loved the look of this new location and it had a really good vibe!!!! All the guests (including us) were just so excited to be there and were all so friendly to one another - asking what the other table ordered and things like that. Will definitely be going back in the future!! read more
I came to Pizzeria Sei with very high expectations after reading so many glowing reviews. I really wanted to love it. Service was very good, and the restaurant is very pretty. We started with the Corn Croquettes (corn, ricotta, rock miso, truffle, fior di latte, cornflakes, and chives), and they were fantastic. Crispy on the outside, creamy inside, and packed with flavor--they were easily the best thing we ordered. We also shared the Vegan Gem Salad with gem lettuce, shallots, white miso, lemon, olive oil, and fresh herbs. It was simple, fresh, and a great start to the meal. For the pizzas, we ordered the Margherita and the Beef Pepperoni. Pizzeria Sei is known for its Tokyo-style Neapolitan pizza, which is wood-fired at very high heat and baked quickly to create a lightly charred crust. I understand that's the style, but our pizzas had more char than I personally enjoyed. It wasn't bitter, but the crust just wasn't pleasant to eat, and neither pizza had the "wow" factor I was expecting. The ingredients tasted fresh and the pizzas were perfectly edible, but they simply weren't memorable or worth the hype for me. Maybe I caught them on an off day, but I left genuinely confused by the overwhelming number of five-star reviews. I've had better pizza at places with far less recognition. I really wanted this to become one of my favorite pizza spots. Instead, the croquettes ended up being the highlight of the meal, while the pizza--the reason I came--was the biggest disappointment. read more
The new location is great - lots of parking and easy to get to from the freeway. The staff is wonderful - attentive, thoughtful, great recommendations, and they keep you updated throughout the evening. The Margherita was nice, the Garden Masala is unique and the real star of the menu, the Diavolo is fine (but honestly better reheated at home). And look, the pizza was good! Finally tried Pizzeria Sei! My favorite type of pizza is Tokyo-style Neapolitan. It used to be impossible to get reservations here, but since they've opened a second larger location, we were able to snag one. Apparently #2 pizza in the US. Almost flawless execution, however there were some stylistic choices that negatively influenced my score. The crust was thin yet super fluffy with a crispy edge (NOT burnt). I do prefer a bit more chew. The mala garden crust was fried and baked but just tasted extra crispy which I loved. Unexpected winner of the night was the Corn Croquette. It came with two perfectly fried and crispy balls filled with a corn chowder. So delicious!! Must get. Best flavor combos were Mala Garden and Ragu. The Sei Margherita was solid, but I prefer my marinara sauce to have a brighter tomato taste. Unfortunately, the Patate and Riviera pizzas missed the mark. They both suffered from too many rich ingredients and I couldn't finish a slice of either. Needed more citrus or herbs to balance everything out. Valet parking is $12 but there is some street parking available nearby. The restaurant acoustics are terrible and it was hard to hear anyone talking. Overall, Pizzeria Sei did live up to the hype and I would definitely return. Maybe doesn't beat some pizza restaurants in Tokyo, but really good for the States. read more

Some of the best pizza in LA and the price reflects it. We got the Ragu pizza with had amazingly light and airy crust that made eating the crust actually enjoyable, and deeply savory A5 beef Ragu that was so rich I think the salad was necessary to cut through it. The Cali Margarita was super crispy to the extent that there was no sag when holding the crust; much more balanced between the fresh tomatoes and basil. Absolutely a must try at least one but probably only for a special event! read more

Love Pizzeria Sei!! Highly recommend if you can get reservations. Tried the new pizzas that are unique to this location: Ragu Mala Lamb (thicker crust than the version at the old location) 4 Culture Diavola - thin crust Flavor explosion. Loved all the pizzas, especially the Diavola. Very unique. They have some of the same pizzas as the other location (e.g. the Special (Sei) Margherita and the Patate), but didn't have others (e.g. no Ruti pizza). Service was impeccable and quick. We recognized 2 guys from the old location, so it was nice to see familiar faces. We were in and out in under an hour. Had reservations for 7pm and were seated right away. Only complaint is that the tables are REALLY close together. It was also loud, so it was hard to hear my husband sitting across from me. Valet parking is available. The neighborhood is permit parking only after 6pm, so read the signs carefully. We found street parking a few blocks away and just walked. read more
I got a chance to go to this location on opening day! I made reservations for 4pm and was already a line when I showed up 10 mins before opening. I highly recommend getting reservations because the place is not super big. Parking: There are plenty of street parking into the neighborhood. App: i got the chicken croquettes because I absolutely love croquettes of any and every thing! The raw sliced button mushroom was for garnish only, move that aside or use the generous amount of gravy provided. That entire ball was filled with chicken breast meat! I only had 1 and i was already full and ordered a 14" pizza for myself! Pizza: 4 culture diavola was $38, the most expensive pizza (if you don't count the one you can add caviar to) but man was it worth it!! It will easily feed 2 adults. The flavors were unmatched of any pizza I have ever had. Sweet, slightly spicy, loved the entire flavor combo and presentation! Wow wow wow! The crust was so good! It held all that together. Truly reminded me of pizza I had in Naples! I can't wait to come back and try their signature margarita pizza! I'm so happy this place is only a couple of miles from my place. read more
Pizzeria Sei has opened their new location and the pizza is, of course, amazing. I tried the Sei Margherita (26) and the Riviera (39). The Sei Margherita is made with buffalo milk mozzarella, and it is Neapolitan through and through. It features a giant airy crust, and the cheese and torn basil float atop a veritable ocean of tomato and olive oil. On the menu's pizza graph, they describe this one as juicy, which is very accurate. While the Sei Margherita hews to tradition, the Riviera spits, deliciously, in its face. The toppings are many and strongly flavored: a multilingual base of onion jam, shiro dashi, and salsa verde is followed by a mezzanine of olive tapenade and boulders of bluefin tuna, and finished with lemon zest, dill, and dots of aioli. The crust can barely support all of it. For after, I recommend the cassata parfait (19). Yes, they also have a tiramisu, but you've had tiramisu before. You might not yet have had this amazing tureen of gelato, which is mixed with candied yuzu peel and topped with crumbled amaretti cookie. It's the nightcap you deserve. Reservations are highly recommended but they tend to go almost immediately, so tenacity is key. There were groups trying to walk in, they were quoted at least a 90 minute wait, and I don't know if they eventually got in or not. I'll be back as soon as they let me in. read more

We've been waiting for Sei's new space to open for a while and finally made it in last night with our daughter. I'd had the pizza once before from the old spot, but this was my first time getting to experience it fresh, in person. I own a pizza shop, so I love going out and paying respects to people in the industry doing it at the absolute top level. Sei is that. I was blown away. The pizza is tremendous and there's so much creativity on the menu. We had the supplì and the croquette too, and I can't stop thinking about the croquette. Beautiful, perfectly plated and delicious. Great wine list too. Simple, everything you want on there. I love the space. Perfect high/low. It feels special but still feels like a pizza shop. What really got me was the staff. Some of the nicest people and best service I've experienced. It reminded me of my one experience at The French Laundry. Obviously very different restaurants, but that same attention to detail, presentation, little surprises and playfulness. Loved it. Sei is doing something really special. read more
Loved the old location, the new location is like the old, but scaled to 200%-- inside and outside seating, a bit less of a view of the kitchen, but the vibe still holds, perhaps even with better style inside. Service is good, I feel like I made a mistake with the food, tho. Broccolini was a massive and delicious order, little gem salad was very fresh but a tad heavy on dressing. The pizza, tho, they have a bunch of new ones at this new location. Went with the 4 Culture Diavola, which was extremely pretty, but honestly had too much going on for me. Between the maple syrup and the balasamic, the contrasting flavors didn't allow the rest of the ingredients to shine, and I think, if I visit again, that a more conventional pizza would be the way to go. The hard part about going again, of course, is snagging a reservation. This trip took something like two weeks of checking daily right at 12:00pm when bookings open, and the dates/times of whatever would become open was pretty unpredictable (let alone if anything was released), which clearly is a good sign for the business-- they are busy!!-- but makes it difficult to become a repeat customer. read more
We scored the coveted res! It was great and well worth the effort. Started with the suppli. Highly recommend, it's done really well. Perfect crisp on an acidic creamy vodka sauce. Amazing. We tried two very different Margherita pizzas. Both so good. I really loved the ultra thin crust scrocchiarella pizza, topped with fresh tomatoes, pungent basil and cold creamy cheese. They have a nice outdoor patio area, it's just on busy Overland Ave. I appreciate the clean minimalist interior. It's a win all around. Lovely staff and service. update after dining in: they have a system in which they stack the left overs for the guests who are leaving. the hostess asked for our table number and she gave us the totally wrong pizza. our table was 12 and we got 4. i tried to give the feedback to the restaurant and they have no email nor phone number. i even contacted the other sei location to see if i can get in touch with the overland location. they said i can give the feedback on yelp!! wow dine in review: try not to sit outside bc it does not have any vibes whatsoever! we got lucky and snagged a cancellation the same morning on a saturday for an indoor table the overall experience wasn't as good as the hype tbh - i def preferred the neopolitan style over the other crispy guy we got we got the sei margarita which was very good - the crust was soft and right amount of salty, the green gem salad was also great - basil, dill, and greens were all so fresh 4 culture diavola was not my vibe. it feels like an ambitious flatbread snack. despite all the fancy touches and ingredients, it felt lackluster. the overall note of the pizza reads just sweet. it needs something more tart? salty? i dunno. does it just have way too much going on? it also is pretty lukewarm to cold bc they had to get it super crispy and it cannot be served hot. it feels very expensive to be getting flatbread vibes pizza for 38 our server was attentive, pleasant, and kind!! was very receptive to our feedback about 4 culture diavola pizza and told us more about why culture diavola has some dissenters and also lovers. forgot my phone so i just have pictures of two items - sei margarita not pictured read more

Pizzeria Sei has been on my list for a while and there's been a ton of hype around their two restaurants. I haven't been to either, but we decided to give it a try. We came knowing that it's very pricey, so I'm excluding pricing from the star rating. We also ordered to go, but we live only a few minutes away so were also able to eat all of the food, fresh and hot. The quality of the food is clearly high, with prices to match. I've had a lot of good pizzas, from NY and Chicago's finest to CA's up and coming. Were these pizza's in the upper leagues? In terms of quality, yes. Innovation, yes. Taste? Hmm it was a mixed bag for us. We did not try their Sei Margherita which is their claim to fame, but instead opted for two of their more interesting pizzas. The first was Scrocchiarella - 4 Culture Diavola and the second was their Mala Garden Pizza. We also bought a pair of croquettes. The Scrocchiarella had a super thin crispy crust with a light Gochujang, maple glaze, peppers, tomatoes, chorizo, balsamic... Very interesting combination that in our opinion did not work well. Normally these complex tastes would feel surprising and refreshing, but this these flavors clashed for me and not in a good way. Sweet and spicy typically goes well together, but not here. And the flavors felt flat and the crust a bit papery. On the other end of the spectrum was the Mala Garden Pizza. If you've ever had chinese bbq (Xinjiang) cumin lamb before, imagine that on a pizza topped with fresh cilantro flowers on a chewy perfectly baked crust. The flavors of the lamb and cilantro paired perfectly with the pizza and my only wish was that they were a bit more generous with the lamb toppings. But otherwise we would absolutely get this again. I'm not normally a fan of croquettes and neither is my wife, but we decided to try them anyways because of all of the reviews. They definitely lived up to the hype, crispy and crunchy on the outside, with a creamy and flavor packed filling. Although it's not something we'd normally order, I'd also recommend trying these. Overall, would I go here again? Based solely on the cost of each small pizza, probably not. If it was competitively priced against other quality pizza chains, I'd definitely go back for more of the Mala lamb pizza though! read more

Pizzeria Sei on Pico-Robertson is my family's favorite pizza restaurant. When anyone asks "Best Pizza in LA"? It's no question, always Sei. After trying Sei's new restaurant last night, our little minds and taste buds were absolutely blown away. We've ordered 3 different pizzas and each of them used its own distinct type of dough. That alone says enough about Sei's prowess and creativity. The Mala pizza crust being thick, but airy and crispy without the oiliness and heaviness found in most other restaurants. Painted beautifully as a Michelin dish with bold balanced flavors. The Cali Margherita which is their take on light/thin crispy pizzas that is so popular these days. Mind you, Sei does it the absolute best and is a must-try classic. The Ragu pizza makes you feel like you're eating a warm homemade pasta in the shape of a pizza. The perfect airy crunch in each bite with tasteful meaty flavor bombs. The chef cooked up the best pizzas in the country. He continually defines LA pizza culture and has made us proud Angelenos as pizza connoisseurs. Seriously... when did we ever get to comment on the delicacy of pizza crust before Sei?! Now, I can proudly say I've had one of the best pizzaz if not the best pizza in the world. And It definitely must be the water in LA. read more

Just don't. It's overpriced and underwhelming. The mala lamb pizza was dry AF. And their margherita pizza was good, but not worth $27. We also ordered a side of pickled vegetables- insulting amount for $15 smh seriously. I gave 3 instead of two stars because the service was decent. read more
One of the best pizza spots in LA, we ordered the potato cheese, mala Lamb and 5 other varieties. They are also available for pick up to go. The restaurant is small and crammed but service is excellent. Ambiance is chill. I recommend this place for pizza lovers - also plenty of street parking read more

I was incredibly lucky to get a last minute reservation the day before and wow what a great experience! The whole staff was super friendly and attentive and checked me in right away (they were efficient at the front working both reservations and take out orders and questions). I got seated at a high chair at the bar in front of the kitchen window so I got to see everyone at work, even saw Chef Joo at the back working with the team! You could tell it was a well-oiled machine, they were carefully and quickly taking orders and all my items came out fresh as they were ready. I ordered the suppli, gardinera, and the diavola pizza, all along with the casseta for dessert. Everything was beautifully presented with tons of flavor. I get why this chef and this pizza had been recognized in the US as one of the top out there... the crust was perfection and the ingredients - so balanced and amazing! Definitely good for sharing (I took a bunch home...) Ambiance is super casual and energetic, really perfect for a casual meet up with friends or even a fun date night. Valet parking available for $12 out front, neighborhood parking but watch out for signs as many side streets you can't park after 6 without a permit but I found parking two blocks down on a side street with no problem. read more

Pretty amazing food and servers are nice. I think the prices at the pico location are cheaper. Similar pizzas, crust in the mala garden pizza here is better, but I like the pico location better overall. Sat outside so typical outdoor eating experience. The inside looks really fancy though. The potate was my favorite pizza. Think potato chips with pecorino on a pizza, it's spectacular. I would skip the ragu pizza and the 4 culture diavola the next time I come. Diavola is good, but it's the priciest of all the pizzas and I just think the others are much better. The tiramisu is spectacular. Make sure to get it. Still, the pico location is better, but theirs is delicious as well read more

Wait until Wednesday morning then go online. Also you can walk in if you go early. We did and no wait!

I live nearby and have seen folks waiting outside. Doesn't look like they have any interior waiting area. Not having eaten there yet I cannot say for sure.
