Great food, abismal service. I genuinely can't even put it into words. I understand waiting a while for seats, what I don't understand is how takes 30 minutes to get us water. Couldn't tell you the servers name, but I can tell you I won't be back for that. Edit: To address your response, after waiting that long for water, I did go up and tell the person at the front desk. At which point, our server did come and check on us. She said that you all ran out of clean cups and got us water, but did not ask if we wanted other drinks, my brother had to quickly ask her to grab him a soda before she ran off, then she asked my sister and I if we wanted anything else. We put in our food order as well because we did not know how long it'd take her to come back. Thank God we did because it took forever for her to come check on us. We didn't get one refill, didn't get one "do you need anything." We watched her talk to who I assume was the manager about pre-closing, and watch her take phone orders. I get that she might be new, but there seemed to be no interest in taking our order or serving us. After we finished our food, we stacked our plates and waited for it another 30 minutes for the check. When we finally received it, I just walked up to the counter to get checked out because I was not going to give her my card and wait for another God knows how long. They prioritize take-out service and the food is not good enough to waste over an hour of your time on the wait list that you will never get back... Not as wow'd this visit. We had about a two hour wait, though being able to join the waitlist ahead of time helped. We started with the pasta, which was the better of the two dishes, but it wasn't very hot; I'd still recommend it. The pizza was disappointing, the sausage (which wasn't cheap to add) had very little flavor and tasted more like ground turkey, and the sauce lacked flavor as well. I've gotten nonstop recommendations to visit Pizzeria Ruby since moving here and it did not disappoint! I tried to come before but there was a 2 hour wait and I was starving but this time around I got there a little early and there was bar seating (yay!) It's such a cute classic pizzeria. I'm guessing that's their standard response as to any review that doesn't like them. I made reference to hygiene issues and if the owner looks thru their reviews on other pages they will see I am not the only one who has referenced this issue. Came to the NWA for my first time and glad to come across a memorable restaurant that stands it's ground to other pizza restaurants in the country! People rave about this place and I have come to understand why, as if I lived here I would definitely frequent often too. The wait time was 2 hours for a party of 2, but glad to be able to put my name online and not have to wait for longer than 20 min when we came closer to seating time. The inside is small and cozy, with a lot of TVs to play the sports games and many people getting takeout orders, which is another option if you can't wait. We ordered pizza, pasta, and ice cream to get a taste of the whole offerings: 6/5 Vodka pie was the star, the right crisp as well as great flavor. I was surprised that this is one of the pizzas that still tasted so good after a few days, with just a microwave 5/5 Pistachio Alfredo was unique but the flavors worked. I am glad they stayed true to an Alfredo and gave it that cheesy creamy richness, while having fresh nuts as well. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente 3/5 Strawberry "gelato" was not a gelato, it's a glorified soft serve. Don't let them fool you, but still a nice dessert! I would 100% visit this place every time I'm in the area, though I'm not sure how frequently I would visit. But at least I know I have a favorite restaurant in the area! read more

Went there again, the best Caesar salad I ever had was not the same, too much lemon juice. Chef get control of your pantry folks and establish consistent recipes. We have been wanting to try Pizzeria Ruby for a while and finally did. The restaurant is very small inside with limited seating so not it makes sense why it is always on a wait. Pizza was delicious! Crust was delicious and perfect combo of crunchy and thin. Toppings were fresh and done evenly. The only reason I did not give a 5 star was to he service was incredibly slow and its cashless. I have been hearing things about this pizza place for a while now. Just so happened that we were able to stop by on our recent trip to NWA. Friday at 1:30 we had about a 25 min wait for a table. Once seated we were promptly greeted by our server who got us drinks and took our order. We ordered the North End pizza and I got a Caesar side salad. Side salad packed a flavor punch. You could tell the caeser dressing was fresh. The saltiness from the anchovies punched you in the face. Probably one of the best side salads I have eaten. ( I know what you are thinking....who rates their side salad!) Pizza came out hot and looked good. Biggest negative was the charred the top of the crust a little to much. Made the crust bitter. Overall the pizza was good. Fresh sauce, tasty ricotta cheese, large meatballs. The pizza would have sealed the 5 star review if it wasn't for the burnt crust. Look forward to my next visit when we head up to NWA again. read more

Love this place, but the atmosphere is only average. The table are cramped and it gets busy. However, what it lacks in atmosphere it makes up in service and good food. Let me start with the staff. They are so sweet, so understanding and willing to help. I believe our servers name was Macy. She is an absolute angel and I could not adore the staff more. Now for the review We originally ordered the waterfront pizza, where I encountered an issue with the level of saltiness. I believe it was just the mixture of the pizza and specifically the feta that made it very salty for me. The crust is a nice thickness and my partner enjoyed the pizza and said that they very much enjoy the flavor. So to each their own, but the staff was more than kind enough to offer us a second pizza on the house because of my opinion on the saltiness. Which brings us to the ruby, their take on a margarita pizza. This pizza is easily one of the best I've had. The crust is a perfect thickness with the right amount of crunch. I personally *adore* bubbles in crust and this had the perfect amount on each slice and they weren't overcooked either. The flavor is very good and I had no issue with the salinity. The topping ratio was great and overall this has to place one of my favorites in the area. The cherry cream soda Overall, not my favorite but it is refreshing. The only issue I take with it is that the cream isn't heavy enough and could be a little sweeter. But on that same note, the soda is quite refreshing and not overly sweet. The cherry flavoring (which I believe is a homemade purée) is light and adds a nice touch to the soda. The actual cherry it came with is amazing! I love that it's not your typical bright red overly sweet cherry, but rather a perfectly sweet soft and natural cherry. The Atmoshpere is so cute! We went during the day but I imagine it's absolutely adorable at night. The lighting in the building is so cute and so well done. The smell. The smell is amazing!!! The Atmoshpere is super cute and welcoming, my only issue is the merch at the beginning of the restaurant. I feel like if they're going to have merch they could display it a little nicer. Overall, the staff is 15/10, the atmosphere is very cute, and the food is very good for what we had! I believe the only issue I had was the salt level on the waterfront, but I think that's entirely my fault for not taking into account how salty the feta could be. I adore the pizza and the staff especially and could not have had a better experience considering the situation. :) Ps their ice is very nice and a good crunch and THEY GIVE ZOTZ AS MINTS!!!! What a disappointment at Pizzeria Ruby. They earned the 1 star review for poor performance, horrible communication and no managerial presence. An absolutely frustrating experience based on our visit in August. The online "waitlist me" option stated a 22 minute wait. I received a text message saying we had signed up at 6:11 p.m. meaning a table for four should be available around 6:30. We arrived at 6:25 and I met the host. I asked for a table closer to the entrance if possible to accommodate the person in my party having limited mobility and using a walker. They said "no problem" and we would receive a text in a few minutes when in was our turn. Thirty-five minutes later at 7:00 I went back in to check on the table situation. Several of the 4 top tables by the entrance were opening and I was told it would be soon and we would get a text. We ordered drinks and continued to wait. At 7:30 I checked in again and got the same spiel about receiving a text soon. At 7:45 my wife went in to ask and the host's comment was the reservations online are better than the waitlist and that was why we were not getting a table. We noticed several parties also waiting and they were visibly frustrated and left. We would have left too but mobility was a big issue for our party to go to another restaurant. Shortly before 8:00 the host came to us with news we had a table. So FRUSTRATING that we had to wait an hour and a half with feeble explanations - a total miss on communication!! For the first time in my life I asked to see the manager of an establishment and they were a NO SHOW. The manager never came to talk with us. It was a terrible display of leadership and lack of accountability. Horrible communication by the host. The only saving grace was the waitress who was very nice and efficient. I've been here many times and tonight was just as great! Every menu item we ordered was tasty. This place just never disappoints. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs. This is hands-down my favorite place to get spaghetti and meatballs-- I seriously dream about this dish. 10/10 Ruby's pie pizza-- this is a great pizza choice if you're going for a Margherita-esque pizza (my favorite). 5 The Works pizza-- also a great pie, my bf loved it. 5 (forgot to get a pic of this one) Crust on pizza is nice and thin, sauce is excellent, and the quality is amazing on everything. When I say that this place is a 11 out of 10 I meant it with my chest! The fried artichokes were insanely delicious. The pistachio pasta was superb. Vegan also. Which I'm not but I eat everything.
