I had Italian sausage Bolognese, and halfway through traded it for my friends wild mushroom pasta. Both were fantastic, and had rich creamy sauces. The sausage was pretty killer, a tad spicy. The mushroom pasta had a tinge of lemony zest to it. Morels were deliciously panfried in butter. My favorite was the to go order for a third person though: pistachio Alfredo, a similar sauce to the wild mushroom pasta but a bit nuttier. Zero complaints with the food, and i look forward to the owners new location (pizza Lotties) that will be opening soon i hear. This place is dangerously close to five star perfection, if only it were not so crowded (locals know whats up) and it's also a bit loud. The open air kitchen is a nice touch but probably doesn't help with the noise. Imo good food for decent value and would be worth the wait (you can enter into the waitlist online which i will certainly do next time and probably opt for patio seating if possible) All in all very satisfied. Great food, abismal service. I genuinely can't even put it into words. I understand waiting a while for seats, what I don't understand is how takes 30 minutes to get us water. Couldn't tell you the servers name, but I can tell you I won't be back for that. Edit: To address your response, after waiting that long for water, I did go up and tell the person at the front desk. At which point, our server did come and check on us. She said that you all ran out of clean cups and got us water, but did not ask if we wanted other drinks, my brother had to quickly ask her to grab him a soda before she ran off, then she asked my sister and I if we wanted anything else. We put in our food order as well because we did not know how long it'd take her to come back. Thank God we did because it took forever for her to come check on us. We didn't get one refill, didn't get one "do you need anything." We watched her talk to who I assume was the manager about pre-closing, and watch her take phone orders. I get that she might be new, but there seemed to be no interest in taking our order or serving us. After we finished our food, we stacked our plates and waited for it another 30 minutes for the check. When we finally received it, I just walked up to the counter to get checked out because I was not going to give her my card and wait for another God knows how long. Not as wow'd this visit. We had about a two hour wait, though being able to join the waitlist ahead of time helped. We started with the pasta, which was the better of the two dishes, but it wasn't very hot; I'd still recommend it. The pizza was disappointing, the sausage (which wasn't cheap to add) had very little flavor and tasted more like ground turkey, and the sauce lacked flavor as well. I've been a fan from the beginning back when Chef Mike had a food truck...the first couple years of Ruby was amazing! Unfortunately it's been downhill since. He's losing his touch and letting his success go to his head. The food/pizza has become mid at best. Their political views have become the center stage of his business, not the food. The experience dining in has declined, extremely loud, sometimes vulgar/offensive music. I would say this has become a non kid-friendly environment. Pricing has climbed up to gouging levels. Most recently I ordered the Fried Clams app. Listed as Market Price, I assumed it would be upper $20's, worse case maybe low 30s? BUT $41 IS A LITTLE OVERPRICED! especially when I can go over to Bentonville to blu (who flies in fresh seafood from New England weekly) and get clams for half that price. If I could give zero stars, I would. My partner, a friend, and I really wanted to like this place, but our experience was disappointing. When our food arrived, we noticed the portion sizes seemed fairly small for the prices. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, my partner ordered the white pie pizza, and our friend ordered the spicy Italian boyfriend. When we finished eating, the staff asked if we wanted boxes for the leftovers, and we took the remaining food home. Later that evening and into the next day, my partner experienced significant stomach issues, including repeated diarrhea throughout the night and the following morning before work. We called the restaurant to let them know what had happened and were asked how they could make it right. We requested a refund. The manager we spoke with told us a refund would be issued and said he just needed our order information and card details. Because the restaurant was closing, he told us he would call us back the next day to complete the refund. The next day, we called back and spoke with a different manager, who told us that we would not be receiving a refund. We were also told that because we had taken the remaining food home, the issue was somehow our responsibility, even though the staff had offered us to-go boxes. I understand that miscommunication can happen, but it was frustrating to be told a refund had been approved and then be given the opposite answer the next day. The contradictory responses and lack of follow-through were the most disappointing part of the experience. At the end of the day, I'd rather spend my money at Pizza Hut or Domino's. In my experience, they provide more consistent customer service, do a better job of standing behind their customers, and serve better food. Came to the NWA for my first time and glad to come across a memorable restaurant that stands it's ground to other pizza restaurants in the country! People rave about this place and I have come to understand why, as if I lived here I would definitely frequent often too. The wait time was 2 hours for a party of 2, but glad to be able to put my name online and not have to wait for longer than 20 min when we came closer to seating time. The inside is small and cozy, with a lot of TVs to play the sports games and many people getting takeout orders, which is another option if you can't wait. We ordered pizza, pasta, and ice cream to get a taste of the whole offerings: 6/5 Vodka pie was the star, the right crisp as well as great flavor. I was surprised that this is one of the pizzas that still tasted so good after a few days, with just a microwave 5/5 Pistachio Alfredo was unique but the flavors worked. I am glad they stayed true to an Alfredo and gave it that cheesy creamy richness, while having fresh nuts as well. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente 3/5 Strawberry "gelato" was not a gelato, it's a glorified soft serve. Don't let them fool you, but still a nice dessert! I would 100% visit this place every time I'm in the area, though I'm not sure how frequently I would visit. But at least I know I have a favorite restaurant in the area! read more

Once seated we were promptly greeted by our server who got us drinks and took our order. We ordered the North End pizza and I got a Caesar side salad. Side salad packed a flavor punch. You could tell the caeser dressing was fresh. The saltiness from the anchovies punched you in the face. Probably one of the best side salads I have eaten. ( I know what you are thinking....who rates their side salad!) Pizza came out hot and looked good. Biggest negative was the charred the top of the crust a little to much. Made the crust bitter. Overall the pizza was good. Fresh sauce, tasty ricotta cheese, large meatballs. The pizza would have sealed the 5 star review if it wasn't for the burnt crust. Well bummer. I was so incredibly excited about this one. A friend warned me but we tried it anyway. It's a one and done for us. I'm still scratching my head about what just happened. Overall flavor was lacking, food was cold, and portions were off. Exorbitant prices for 4oz wines. The ambiance was just ok, only a few tables there and the owners didn't even make eye contact with us while walking around. The hostess screaming at the top of her lungs and looking frantic and frustrated with guests all night was very unpleasant. The night really turned awkward watching the owner lady have a hostile outburst that no paying guest should ever have to experience. Professionalism, self-control, and respect for customers should be the bare minimum, yet none of those qualities were on display What a dud, hate it for these folks, their food truck was so good. I had eaten here recently since it was recommended by some friends. Food was good and service was good. Very early morning next day however, I had pretty severe diarrhea that continued onward for the entirety of the following day. I had eaten nothing the day of coming in to dine, therefore I was confident it was the food that had done it. I called the store and spoke to the manager the day after, and he said he was sorry and asked what could be done to make it right. I said a refund would be nice, and that I would like to give their food another chance. They said to call back the next day in the afternoon and they would get my card information and discuss getting a refund processed. I called back the next day and I tried getting a hold of the manager but instead spoke to someone else. Rather than getting to talk to the manager again, I was told that it would've been impossible to get sick from their food based off of the timing of me ordering it, and then showing symptoms about 10-11 hours later, and that it takes about 30 hours to show symptoms. They also said that they've never had an issue with anyone getting sick before from their food, I guess to insinuate that it could've never had been their fault. I know for a fact that a person can indeed get sick from food poisoning within 12 hours after eating, but I didn't want to argue. After that was said, I was then told that it was their standard procedure that they could not issue a refund since the pizza was eaten and then taken out of the store after purchasing. I can understand policy, however it doesn't seem fair that when I was asked what could be done to fix the issue I gave a suggestion, a refund, and was then told the next day that I'm wrong and that the garlic just must've disagreed with my stomach. It felt very patronizing to hear that. Even if that were true, I'd at least see what else I could to do help the customer if the roles were switched, rather than deflecting and not taking any accountability. All I got was just silence other the phone, with no further attempt to make amends. As mentioned earlier I wanted to give them another chance, but after that experience I won't be coming back. Let me start with the staff. They are so sweet, so understanding and willing to help. I believe our servers name was Macy. She is an absolute angel and I could not adore the staff more. Now for the review We originally ordered the waterfront pizza, where I encountered an issue with the level of saltiness. I believe it was just the mixture of the pizza and specifically the feta that made it very salty for me. The crust is a nice thickness and my partner enjoyed the pizza and said that they very much enjoy the flavor. So to each their own, but the staff was more than kind enough to offer us a second pizza on the house because of my opinion on the saltiness. Which brings us to the ruby, their take on a margarita pizza. This pizza is easily one of the best I've had. The crust is a perfect thickness with the right amount of crunch. I personally *adore* bubbles in crust and this had the perfect amount on each slice and they weren't overcooked either. The flavor is very good and I had no issue with the salinity. The topping ratio was great and overall this has to place one of my favorites in the area. The cherry cream soda Overall, not my favorite but it is refreshing. The only issue I take with it is that the cream isn't heavy enough and could be a little sweeter. But on that same note, the soda is quite refreshing and not overly sweet. The cherry flavoring (which I believe is a homemade purée) is light and adds a nice touch to the soda. The actual cherry it came with is amazing! I love that it's not your typical bright red overly sweet cherry, but rather a perfectly sweet soft and natural cherry. The Atmoshpere is so cute! We went during the day but I imagine it's absolutely adorable at night. The lighting in the building is so cute and so well done. The smell. The smell is amazing!!! The Atmoshpere is super cute and welcoming, my only issue is the merch at the beginning of the restaurant. I feel like if they're going to have merch they could display it a little nicer. Overall, the staff is 15/10, the atmosphere is very cute, and the food is very good for what we had! I believe the only issue I had was the salt level on the waterfront, but I think that's entirely my fault for not taking into account how salty the feta could be. When I say that this place is a 11 out of 10 I meant it with my chest! The fried artichokes were insanely delicious. The pistachio pasta was superb. Vegan also. Which I'm not but I eat everything. I got the Italian sausage and spinach pie, and y'all no lie, top 5, top 5, top 5. Delicious. I'm from Atlanta and we have plenty of authentic pizza spots but this just hit a lot of marks for me. So I will definitely be back here when I get a little more time and eat again. The service was nice super busy tho, looks like a college hangout spot. The ambience was chill.
