CORE Brewing isn't my fave because I like my browns but CORE is all about Arkansas Red , it's excellent.

I already love scarlet letters so I was super excited to stop in. They had board games, darts and a ping pong table and plenty of TV's to watch the Hogs play. Loved this place! It's off the beaten path a bit, so you may think you're headed to the wrong place, but hang in there, it's worth it! They have several delicious IPA's and 3/4 seltzers on tap! I am 100% an IPA person, but their seltzers were amazing and I'm so glad I ordered them! The space is quite large and has tons of games to play. They also have several tables on their patio and picnic tables near the parking lot. There is a Mexican food truck in the parking lot that you MUST TRY! My flight was delayed about two plus hours - and if you've ever traveled through XNA, you know there's absolutely NOTHING to do here to kill time. It's just past 10:00 pm, and this place is just getting ready to close. I asked the waitress when they officially close and her answer was "whenever the last flight leaves". Thank you Lord! And thank you Core Brewing Company! You don't have any cider, and your food is pretty mediocre. But reminding myself that beggars can't be choosers, you came to my rescue when American Airlines failed once again. Relaxed bar atmosphere with plenty of charging stations! Their menu consists of sharables and bar bites like sliders, wings, and nachos. It appears they are known for beer, with lots of Cali wine options. Loved the place! They are focusing on their product. I respect that and I'm loving it. This place is certainly hidden a bit.... Visited and discovered their Scarlett Letter... PLEASE PLEASE never stop making this!!! I'm traveling soon to Chicago and plan on taking plenty to share with friends and family. It's SO refreshing. Thrilled to have another option for food and drink and XNA. And I love some Core beer. They've made a nice little shop with several TVs, Bar and table seating, and even a monitor for departure times. Way uptown! But I'm going to go with three stars for my first trip in because of the level of service. This is an airport. This is not a tasting room where people have all day to ponder options and savor their choices. There was no beer list at the bar, so you had to try to read the taps. I walked up to the bar cash in hand ready to place an order, and waited. And waited. The bartender was moving ever so slowly to one table at a time - no sense of urgency, no consolidation of work. She finally gave me the "just a minute" thing, and then I waited longer. I received and enjoyed my beer - definitely at airport prices! - and had enough time to drink it, if a bit hurried. I'll give it another try, with food, but hope they will work on getting sharp staff who understand how to work quickly and smartly. It's an airport, you know. read more

After a strenuous hike in Bella Vista on the Back 40 loop, we decided to check out a local brewery and found Core. The building is tucked away in an industrial area, but was easy to find. Not many customers at 4 on a Saturday, but we found the taproom to be nicely decorated with ample seating options from tables to couches. The barkeep was friendly and helpful in our selections. I had the Arkansas Red while Deb had the Scarlet Letter. Very refreshing! We'll definitely be back on our next trip to NWA. read more

I doubt my life will ever take me back to Springdale, Arkansas, but I loved every minute of my visit to Core Brewing a few weeks ago. I have been to many breweries now, and Core stands out as being uniquely cool without trying too hard. The building puts on zero airs, but offers up some great beer. My boyfriend and I stopped in on the Friday night that we headed down to Fayetteville for a random weekend adventure. We ordered the flight then grabbed a seat at a picnic table. It was a cold night, so the building was on the chilly end, but we kept our coats on and let the alcohol warm us up. I always think flights are the best way to go if you want to see what a brewery has to offer, and Core's didn't disappoint. There was a good mix brews and the information sheet taught us a little bit about each. I think a solid 5th star goes to the fact that the bartender helped us get free tickets to the Arkansas/LSU game for the next day. This was a fun place to visit. It is a working brewery with a small bar surrounded by a few picnic tables. I would have liked to try more of their beers, but the bar was crowded and the bartenders were having problems with the taps and kept running back and forth to another building. The dark beers, wheat beer and seasonal "pumpkin" beer that I sampled were quite good. There wasn't really a menu or anything that I saw and the bartenders were busy and weren't real clear in explaining what was available. I would have liked to have a sampler platter or something like I've had at other breweries. A clear menu with descriptions of the available brews would be helpful. Popcorn was available next to the bar, but I don't know if they serve food. I look forward to trying more of their beers, but hopefully it won't be so chaotic next time I'm there. read more

In all fairness, I can say that I did not have the beer here since I am GF, but I went with a few other people and still loved the place. I guess they previously allowed dogs there, but no longer can because of the health codes. They do have a tasting flight, with each tasting costing between $1.50 and $2.00. I was told by the others in my group that the toasted coconut and raspberry beers were vey good. They will also give you some popcorn to snack on. There is indoor and outdoor seating, both with tvs. The outdoor seating has a great view, especially around sunset. There are also various games (like checkers, Uno, Jenga, etc.) to play. First and foremost, a tasting room should be fun. Yes, you go for the beers, but a tasting room is all about the experience. You go in with a group (or solo, if you're in that mood!) and want to sit for a while, have a good time, and get a few beers. And in that, Core positively glows! Super friendly staff, a great space with a variety of seating, and an open and well-lit room that still gets that cozy hang-out feel just right. There's a long bar full of seats, and few smaller tables, some outdoor seating, and even an event space or two off to the side for big groups or especially boisterous folks. Also, in addition to the regular Core favorites, you'll get to try their limited releases, wacky mixes, and some of the aged/infused beers. If you're never had a chocolate mole beer, it worth a visit by itself! And it makes a mean beer float :D The folks who work here though are the real icing on the cake, they're fun, know the area, the history, and they're kind and generous well beyond the call! they might even be doing trivia if you happen to swing by on a Sunday afternoon... This is a working brewery. You can taste the different beers Core offers and by yourself a pint or if you found the one you like grab yourself a half gallon in a neat looking jug. They have popcorn to munch on and TVs to watch sports. Similar to a nice small pub just without the food. Great local brewery and what a gem it is. The beer is cold and refreshing. It's too bad that Core is the brewery that represents Arkansas upon entering/leaving the airport. The beer, no matter how many times I try them all, just flat-out suck. The food at this location is so-so. I'm going to stop giving them my money. The company is brilliant, however. It's like being in the desert with no water, and Nestlé sets up a water stand - that's what Core does. Every town, every main road, they are setting up tasting rooms to try their poorly crafted, carbonated sewage...and people, having no other options in that area for breweries (and not knowing any better), will be boosting their profits. The next Anheuser-Busch buyout could be Core, and that's all they care about - money. read more

This beer is for those who normally DON'T like beer, it will convert you! I'm not much of a beer person but someone insisted I try, I'm soooo glad I did. It's pricy, but worth it. You'll have to almost beg your liquor store to carry it but you, and they, won't be disappointed. The one place I found in NW Arkansas that carries them has a hard time keeping it in stock, and they are just down the road from the brewery! Great Beer!! I have a home Kegerator and stopped in to sample one or two and possibly grab a keg for it. I had already had a few beers from Core on tap or bottle from other locations but nothing beats getting it from the source. Some of my favorite places are breweries. After a couple of samples, and destroying they tray of popcorn they were handing out, I selected the Hazelnut Brown. The flavors are amazing. Beer is smooth and not too over powering.
