Well a silly amount of months later I was finally able to visit them with my wife and Mom. The guy running the bar was awesome, super friendly and helpful when it came to the ciders and what to try. I have been coming to black apple for quite some time - I bring friends and family when they come to visit but today I was disappointed. Me and my family went today and one of us was cut off after only having 2 beers. We aren't sure why we were singled out seeing as we were the only people in the bar, but it confused us to say the least and was upsetting. As a true cider lover I'm SAD! If I could give this cidery more than 5 stars, I would! I have been coming here ever since they opened their doors in the summer of 2015. My best friend and I came on their opening weekend back then and one of the co-founders, Leo, greeted us! We were the only people there but he was so excited to show us around that he even gave us a tour of the whole place, including where the cider is made! I will always remember his hospitality and passion for this new project of his. It makes me even more thrilled that it has had such amazing success for the past 7 years! I no longer live in Northwest Arkansas, but this is a place I come back to literally every single time I am home. I much prefer cider over beer and it is rare to find a taproom that is fully dedicated to ciders! They have expanded quite a bit in the last few years, it's always fun to see what new updates they have when I come back. They now have tons of indoor seating, a stage for musical performances, patio seating out front on Emma St, and a more backyard vibe patio in the back! There are a lot of fun events offered regularly like trivia, game nights, and comedy shows. They are dog friendly which also makes them even better in my opinion. The menu is always changing and expanding, I remember when they only had 6-8 drinks total on the menu! Now they have regular ciders, premium ciders, and even cider slushes! I had to get a flight this time to try out the new flavors that have arrived since I last came here. I got the blueberry lemonade slush and then 3 premium ciders: ginger pear, mangonada, and raspberry thyme. All of them were delicious as always! I also got a pint of the hibiscus cider which is one of their classics. They now sell their canned cider in stores but unfortunately it is only available in this region. I now live on the West Coast and would absolutely order cans all the time if they shipped out here! This was my son's choice...he and his ever luvingrabbed some pizzas and met us here. They offer a selection of ciders and mead. Nice place, nice selection of flavors as an alternative to beers. By their nature, these beverages are lighter and refreshing, and the selection is varied enough so that there is something for everyone Staff was friendly and helpful. We came here after a flight to check out their ciders on an early Friday afternoon. There was no one else there when we arrived, but it started to pick up by the time we left, so it was an enjoyable tasting. We got two flights: -Cranberry Orange - I was really excited for this one, but it was awful, really reminded me of a liquid medicine flavor. - Spiced - This was really good; really loved the fall vibes I got with this one as it had lots of spice flavor. -Peach Taster - I've had better peach ciders as this was only light in the peach flavor; however, I still enjoyed it. -Tart Cherry - Definitely a very tart cider, not sure I got so much of a cherry flavor, but it was still good. -Hibiscus - good floral flavor with a nice level of sweetness, really enjoyed this one. -Semi-Sweet - a good traditional cider -Apricot harvest - this was just okay, light in flavor. -Zin Mead - good, got a grape flavor to it. We also tried the peach slush which was outstanding! Loved this! Overall a very enjoyable spot to take in a cider flight; while not my favorite ciders, they still had some good ones and I'd highly recommend a visit if you are in the area. read more

A must try if you're in NWA! Normally I'm a big brewery person, but Black Apple has all of the charm of a brewery (cozy, chill crowd, local events sometimes), just with cider on tap. There are a wide variety of flavors (both rotating and standard), so pretty much anyone can find a drink to try. There's a small taqueria across the street if you're hungry, too. During the month of December, they had multiple limited-time holiday themed ciders released. And Pre-COVID, they would have local comedy and small shows on their stage in the main drinking/dining area. read more

What can I say about Black Apple Crosing but this place ROCKS!!!!! Black Apple is a small little cider bar that has some amazing ciders. I wold highly recommend the Single Gal. The atmosphere in Black Apple is very relaxed and charming. They have a new patio that they build in the front that allows you to see the new and updated Emma street and in the back they have another large patio with patio seating. Inside the bar they have multiple tables and chairs. Black Apple has started to have live music on the weekends and they have multiple different specials and events going during the week. This is a really cool spot to come and enjoy some cider and hangout with friends. I recently came here with my friend for a night out. They had live music and they just brought in frozen cider. The flavors were strawberry and pineapple. It was really really good. The place is dark with plenty of seating. There was even seating outside. Some customers had their families seated out back. I LOVE cider so I was thrilled to find out about this cider house! We ordered the flight of 8 and the pours were pretty generous. We both enjoyed the seasonal strawberry! They don't serve food however there is free popcorn available. It was a nice little treat. There is also a small Mexican place across the street where you can order items and bring them in to enjoy with your cider. Our first visit to Black Apple and we had a great time. I understand every Saturday night they have amateur comedians. We sat in the back and shared a flight of ciders and listened to 4 comedians. Some were ok, some were good, but it wasn't like we paid to get in and felt like we had to get our monies worth. Free entertainment and a smoke free atmosphere. I'm not a big beer drinker nor cider, but I liked having the opportunity to try new things and this place is perfect for that! Looking forward to going back. read more

I've been here many times to watch bands play in the main sitting area. In the back (or the front -depends which door you come in) is the bar. We always get our drinks at the bar so not sure if there's table service. Doesn't matter because they have great ciders & selection of beer. I just love This place. I am not a huge fan of all the craft beers but this place does cider! They usually have 8 on tap on any given day. They tend to be seasonal meaning in the summer you can get pineapple and in the fall you can get spiced cranberry. These range from dry to sweet on the scale of 1 to 8. You can order flights to try them in groups of four. However for a quick taste, they will let you sample any of them. Buy a growler for sealed take home and refills. They have a large seating are in the front and when you walk down the hall, it opens up to the small bar area plus an outdoor patio on the back side. They have comedy nights and other live entertainment so check their Facebook page for that. I'm told soon the spiced cider will be served warm. Mmmm. In summer, they usually have two cider slush machines going. They don't serve food but there is a burger place next door and an authentic taco stand across the street. I just hate that it's all the way in Springdale for me but a lot of local bars and restaurants have at least one on tap or you can get it canned in stores. read more

It was a nice day and we wanted to find an activity that we could do outdoors. We ended up deciding to go to Black Apple and lounging on the back patio playing a chair stacking game they had (they have a selection of board games). It was fun and relaxing. We got the cider flight and it came with a huge array of ciders... It was a good size for two to share. We whittled our favorites down and both know what we'll order the next time we stop in - the hibiscus one and the Shadow Queen. The driest one was also delicious.
