Specially pizza. Whipped Ricotta, Calabrian chile,, broccolini, sausage pecorino cheese, mozzarella. It was outstanding
    Dave J.

Here's the deal true artists delivering amazing pizza and sandwiches! Tough spot to get into on weekends but totally worth it! Most definitely back to explore more creations when km in the area!

    Spinach pizza

Thin and crispy pizza with a great atmosphere. The waitress was attentive and friendly. As good as the plain pizza was, the spinach pie was the star of the meal. Highly recommend.

    White Spinach Pie

Solid pizza. Ad a group of four, we split the Soppressata pizza and white Spinach pizza. The whipped ricotta starter was good but could've come with more bread. BYOB. Plenty of parking.

    Lucci Pepperoni

Great pizza from 'Lucci. This was the Lucci Pepperoni, which also includes some red onion. The crust was outstanding; crispy bottom and edges, but still having a solid chew (this is NOT one of those paper-thin cracker crusts...) Great flavors in the pepperoni, cheese, and sauce. My only nitpick is that there wasn't quite enough sauce on the pizza. But still 5 stars.

    Swag!

I have to say I am floored by the quality and flavor of the food at Lucci. Seriously a top pizza place at the jersey shore. 10 out of 5 for food for sure! The folks there really care about their product and took the time to speak with us about our experience and shared that they are working hard to create a great experience. I would love to see a little more ambiance - perhaps a cozy vibe, so hopefully that will come in time. Just a little more decor could potentially do it. Can't wait to return for that crunchy crust, perfectly balanced sauce, and the perfect amount of cheese. Also, don't sleep on the Caesar salad - it's perfect.

Special pie for October -- white with squash, kale, red onion, and sausage
    Megan Z.

I am completely shocked that this place doesn't have over four stars. We LOVED Lucci! What I liked: * Holy smokes, their specialty white pie for October with squash, kale, red onion, and sausage is a home run. The sausage was big chunks of REAL, juicy Italian sausage (none of the fake crumbly stuff), the squash was incredibly flavorful, and the red onion was sliced thin, exactly how I prefer it on pizza * They sell square slices! I'm so sick of whole pie only pizzerias. You gotta' let us taste before we invest in a whole pie * Pricing is comparable to similar establishments ($20 plain pie) * Sourdough crust!!!! * Super friendly staff who you can tell are obsessed with pizza What I didn't love: * The only reason for the -1 star is because unfortunately the square slice was too dry, I think they just reheated it for too long, or maybe they need a little more sauce on it upfront. There were bites that weren't dry/had little pockets of sauce that were the bomb. This is one of those instances where I wish I could give a 4.5 All in all, GREAT place. Well worth the 1-ish hour drive from North Jersey.

Ahhhhhh(cracks knuckles)....walking into the minimalist masterpiece that is Lucci you are confronted with the dichotomy of a simple layout no frills or pomp and the smells of an exquisite experience about to hit your palette. We had our infant with us and had yet to feed her at a restaurant as she eats homemade food even when we're out. Our waitress was warm and considerate and we ordered right away. Well, after the whipped ricotta, meatballs, pasta fagioli, and Caesar salad hit the table, everyone ceased talking and we began the ride, infant included. Meatballs were soft and delicious. We did not leave any trace evidence of the whipped ricotta, Caesar salad was amazing, authentic and still crunchy. The baby ate most of the bowl of pasta fagioli and was smiling and licking her lips the whole time. We moved on to devour the spinach pie and new edition penne vodka. The pizza was hot, thin crusted, flakey and smooth as fuck. Piece after piece disappeared off the tray. The penne vodka had a kick and my daughter crushed it until she was full. We finished with one of the top three tiramisu I've ever had in my hundreds of tiramisu's. Every ingredient was authentic and perfectly paired. I had no bloating, no sticker shock and we left laughing into the cold night at our baby who was still gnawing on now soggy crust. We can't wait to go back and spend another evening there.

The classic plain with sausage! As the menu says "Whole Milk Mozzarella, Fresh Mozzarella, Milled Tomatoes, Basil"
    Dave D.

A breath of fresh air down the shore, took out a plain with sausage. Very good ingredients cooked very well. Great flavor and not too cheesy. The dough is fresh, thin and crisp. Love the sausage, great flavor. I saved a couple of slices for my wife, and will be back to dine in and try the meatballs and salads. While waiting (I arrived 10 minutes early) it was busy, with food flowing from the kitchen and a happy vibe. The place is clean and the staff is very friendly.

NAY! .........People say the meatball sandwiches are very good.

The chopped salad was delicious. The sausage on the pizza was of high quality. It was delivered cold. Not tepid or warm but cold.Like the slices you see before reheating, collecting dust at any pizza joint. The Galley, Tony's, Dominic's, Lupo and others are all able to deliver a hot pie. At this price it should be a given.

Plain pie and pepperoni and red onion pie.
    Kevin D.

Wow! Best pizza I have ever had hands down! Also had the Italian sandwich was amazing and the bread was next level. Honestly the meal and experience was made so much better because the staff was so nice. Start with some wings at 10th Ave Burrito right next door and finish with some pizza at Lucci!

    Pizza!

Excellent pizza.. fresh basil, thin crust. Highly recommended. Service was excellent. Loved the simple decor.

I've never had a classic pizza of higher quality than at Pizzeria Lucci. The dough is so thin and crisp it could give you a paper cut, with five slices here about equal to two standard ones. The undercarriage is flawless, making for the cleanest eat I've had, yet it still delivers rich, top quality ingredients. Every element works in harmony: the light char, subtle fluff, fresh cheese, and vibrant sauce all showcase elite craftsmanship. You can tell the chef has the whole process down to a science. I'm rating it an 8.5, the second-best pizza I've had on the Jersey Shore, just behind Sea Bright Pizzeria. The only thing holding it back from the high 8s is that while the quality is maxed out, it lacks that extra spark/ the exotic kick or burst of flavor that sets the very best pies apart.

    Nicholas G.

Been wanting to come by for a while. The place is pretty minimalistic but obviously you come for the pizza. I tried the pepperoni with red onions and mozzarella. The crust has a nice crunch to it and it isn't floppy. So good. The marinara piece was bland and I am a marinara pizza expert. The meatballs were good and you can tell they are homemade. Love the sauce. One of the better pizza's in the area.

I had the most upsetting and disappointing experience at Pete & Elda's last night. I ordered a…read moredouble extra large pepperoni & onion pizza to be delivered on DoorDash. When I received the order, the pizza was a plain pizza with no toppings. However, the ticket inside the box had my name and what I ordered. So clearly, this was not the Doordasher's mistake, it was the restaurants. I called the restaurant and explained what happened & the manager on the phone Brandon said that in order for me to receive a refund, I'd have to contact DoorDash. I explained I didn't want a refund, I just wanted the pizza that I ordered. He then said I'd have to pick up the new pizza (which I was fine with doing) in 25-30 minutes. When I drove to the restaurant to pick up the new pizza, I'm then told by Brandon that I'd have to pay for the new pizza (which he never stated over the phone) & contact DoorDash for a refund. I explain ONCE AGAIN, that I'm not looking for a refund, I just want the pizza that I ordered. He then explains that it's just their policy & I'd have to pay for the new pie (even though it was their fault I got the wrong order.) Any decent manager or business would give the new pie for free because it was a mistake on their end. I obviously refused to pay for a second pizza & asked to speak to someone else. Then another manager named Joe comes out & basically says the same thing that Brandon says. At this point, I'm very upset because I'm being asked to pay for a mistake that I didn't make. I call my dad & let him know what's happening, & then he drives over with the pizza that was received and the ticket in the box. We then proceed to go back & forth with the managers for around 10 minutes. They completely avoided accountability for their mistake, & instead tried to blame the mistake on the dasher. The manager Joe was saying that "dashers pick up multiple orders at once & could've mixed the pizzas up." Clearly, that's not what happened in this situation, so it felt like they were trying to insult our intelligence. I ONCE AGAIN tell him that the dasher received the correct pizza from the restaurant because the ticket in the box was correct, one of their staff just gave the wrong pizza. I worked in the food industry for many years so I understand how DoorDash works. It's not the Dashers's responsibility to check the box and make sure the pizza is correct as that would be very unsanitary. The responsibility is on the restaurant to give the Dasher the correct order. After me having to drive to their restaurant when I wanted the order delivered initially, then my dad having to drive there to back me up, & us going back & forth with them, they finally decide to give me the pizza without me having to pay a second time (which they should've done in the first place.) Then the manager Joe tries to offer us a credit the next time we decide to go to the restaurant but I told him there was no need for that because we will never go to Pete & Elda's ever again! This whole situation has left such a bad taste in my mouth. I've had an issue before where I received the wrong pizza from Pete & Elda's & they simply remade my order and gave me a new pizza, so I don't understand why they expected me to pay again for food I already paid for through DoorDash! I have lived in Neptune all of my life and my parents have been living here for over 30+ years, & we were frequent customers at Pete & Elda's. We are so upset & disappointed that we can't even bring ourselves to set foot in that restaurant ever again. If they simply gave me the new remade pizza without demanding a second payment, this situation would've never happened. The managers were completely unprofessional and handled this situation HORRIBLY. You guys have lost loyal customers over a pizza that probably cost you $10 to make.

Yesterday I purchased eight brownies for over $30 from this bakery for a birthday celebration at work. At that price point, I expected something fresh, rich, and worthy of being brought to a group. What I got instead were stale, dry brownies that tasted like they had been sitting out for days. It was honestly embarrassing to serve them. They were noticeably old and completely underwhelming, especially for a bakery that positions itself as a premium spot. If you're charging luxury prices, the product needs to match. Freshness should be the absolute bare minimum, and unfortunately, that wasn't even close here. The Deets: After dinner in Asbury Park this recent visit, it was decided a visit was needed down to Del Ponte's Bakery along Main St in Bradley Beach. This bakery's huge selection of Italian pastries and sweet treats was almost overwhelming! Multiple display cases of deliciousness awaited us inside the shop, we really took our time to look over all of it before decisions were made. We had basically thought going in that we would nab some fresh biscotti (which of course, we did, in different varieties, all delicious) but also ended up with some other goodies such as crumble cheesecake (so good!), cookies, etc. We feasted well each morning, believe you me. It was on the Friday evening of Labor Day holiday weekend and I think the young staffers there had a long day. We were served well, but from the "Can I help who is next, already?!" for example that was shouted out across the shop full of customers sort of came across as "let's get this done now" but hey, never know what they already had been through that day, right? They gathered up all our choices from case to case when it was our turn and we were pretty pleased with the boxes full of baked goodness as all of it didn't last long. Del Ponte's Bakery is a good stop to make if wanting some sweet treats to take home and enjoy, we are glad we did so.
