Over the past few years, the service has steadily declined. The food was still good enough that I overlooked it and kept returning. Eventually, the consistently clueless service pushed us to switch to takeout instead. Tonight, sadly, I realized the Chow I once knew is simply gone. The pizza was a perfect example of cost cutting at the customer's expense. It cost more, had noticeably fewer quality ingredients, and was almost completely lacking the flavor that made it special in the first place. I'll choose to look at this as a positive. Connecticut's shoreline has no shortage of excellent restaurants, and this gives me a reason to explore more of them. The successful restaurants today understand that repeat customers come from the combination of attentive service, great food, and a warm, inviting atmosphere.
