an above average local pizza joint that we stumbled upon after years of driving past it.. i dont think they try to be like new haven, or boston or nyc pizza .. good, unique pizza - a light crust, good fresh toppings, friendly staff. a big list of specialty pizzas that make me want to come back soon. this place used to be called Apizza Tuscana, i think its the same owners - new name. reasonable prices, and foxon sodas. the menu has the vegetarian pizzas clearly marked, which is nice. its pretty clear they do a booming take out business. we ordered our pie and ate at one of the three small tables - obviously they dont try to do a big eat-in business. we must have seen 15 people come in and pick up pizzas in the 30 mins we were there. the same people own a few other da vincis pizzerias around ct. im surprised i cant find a website with them all listed. i will definitely be back, no more driving home from the shore hungry.

We were pleasantly surprised by the array of cooked choices. My husband loved the chicken meal. I had the chef's broccoli salad. Really yummy & innovative. The cutlets were crispy! We bought them to make sandwiches for our kids. I also got a pound of breaded eggplant cutlets. Amazing! All reasonably priced. The owner was personable & chatty. The ladies who served were fast! We'll be back!

Their menu is HUGE and will have something for quite literally everybody, whether you're into pizza, wraps, panini, or salads. This made it super tough to decide what to get, however. After checking out their Yelp page I decided to go with "The Boss." SO good. It had penne alla vodka, chicken cutlet, and some very fresh mozz. My only complaint is that I wish I had some chili flakes to add a bit more of a kick. Everything meshed so well together and I totally see myself recreating this as my next hangover cure. Additionally, we tried the potato salad. I am SO picky about potato salad and was literally dancing when I took a bite (please tell me someone relates to the happy food shakes). The potatoes were cooked to perfection and I loved how it had red peppers in it! The staff was friendly and the place was clean and well-ran. I went at peak lunch hour and was still served within 15-20 minutes, super impressive! Will need to go again when back in the area.

We walked in and were instantly greeted and ushered to a table that was the right size for our little group. The service throughout the night was amazing, the food was delicious and appropriately hot, and the beverages were perfect. The staff was very knowledgeable and had no issues answering any questions. Once the food landed on the table, there was that kind of silence that can only mean that everyone was too busy enjoying the food to talk at all. Once the forks had settled, we all had nothing but compliments! After we had finished, we noticed that the whole place had cleared out. We chatted with the manager for a minute and gave praises to the service and food, and he said that he closes a bit early so that his staff can go home to spend the holiday with their families, which was admirable! I honestly can't say enough wonderful things about our experience and we're all looking forward to next year already! Needless to say, this will continue to be where we will celebrate every Christmas Eve from now on!

A chewy/ flavorless piece of steak that was mediocre at best topped with very fishy crab, a side of asparagus and a small baked potato. Complete highway robbery. Plated beautifully, lacking flavor. Did not eat the crab, choked down the steak. The small baked potato was perhaps the best part, even though it was plain. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. Bathroom bathrooms were clean. I can't understand the price point here.

The fireplace perfect on a cold winter evening. The food prepared with finesse. Even something as simple as the fries were above average-likely the oil used. The crab and corn chowder was delicious though lighter in crab than I would have liked. Could have been "the pour" I guess. The Asian Salmon was delicious and something about the basmati was just right. We did notice it was hard to hear at the height of the busy time but wonderful to talk as it cleared out. There is beautiful art decorating the walls. This added to the homey feel. A nice variety as well. I especially noticed the quilted and framed art which were delightful birds and nature scenes. Some appeared available for sale and at very reasonable prices. Very nice spot, well recommended.
