Parking: average size shared lot with other vendors plus street parking too Decor: personally I loved it, I would say a cross between vintage industrial with calming accents throughout...they even have a cute little outdoor area but I'm an AC guy Staff: very friendly and attentive, even the owner came out for a quick chat. Ask for Nola or Hailey! Food: I just got a crepe to go and it was DELICIOUS!! They had a nice selection of teas too! If you're looking for a snack, drink or place to do some work and are in the area, check them out! read more

Stopped by Belle Vie Café on a beautiful Saturday morning and sat outside, which made for the perfect, relaxing breakfast. I ordered the French toast with blueberries, and it did not disappoint. It was perfectly cooked, fluffy on the inside with just the right amount of crisp on the edges. The blueberry topping was delicious, and the maple syrup tied everything together. I also had a sugar-free caramel latte, and it was so good. It's hard to find a sugar-free latte that actually tastes like caramel, but they nailed it. Overall, I'd definitely come back. Great food, great coffee, and such a cute spot to enjoy a slow Saturday morning. read more

I almost exclusively drink Black Iced Coffee or Cold Brew. I stopped at BVC for one or the other around 1:45 on a Saturday, and they didn't have either. They close at 3:30. That seems a little early to run out of iced coffee in June, but I moved on. After hearing my iced coffee options, I went with an iced Matcha Latte. They asked if I wanted it more or less sweet. I said less sweet. It's not something I would normally drink, but It was pretty good. Service was friendly. There was inside and outside seating. They had a pastry and treat case. I didn't eat anything because I was headed to lunch. BVC is worth checking out. 4.25 Stars read more

My friend stopped here the other day and brought some pastries back for me to try! I had another but I ate it before I got a photo (oops!) The pastries were delicious and I loved the presentation in that open, long box! I am hoping to visit this town to try Three Girls Vegan and would love to visit this cafe in person! read more

This is our must visit coffee shop when in town! We love this space so much! The coffees are absolutely delicious, as are their pastries and crepes! I haven't had their lunch or breakfast, but have heard it's wonderful too! They have non dairy milk, keto pastries and lots of options for those with food preferences and allergies. Love that! The service here is wonderful! The owner and staff are so friendly and kind. We will continue to go here on every visit to Guilford (from MA and NJ!) read more

Sitting at the tables on the patio, we enjoyed our cool beverages, cold brew ice coffee and iced matcha tea. Our crepes arrived and was not disappointed! read more

We spent nearly 60 dollars for 2 people. The food took a long time to get to us (and everyone else who was in line with us), and was unseasoned. Very disappointing. Outdoor seating is nice but not worth 20 bucks for a flavorless sandwich. The tomato sauce in the Shakshuka tasted like it came out of a can. Tea was watered down. Service was passable, but we won't be coming here again. read more

We thought the food was just OK. But lovely place and outdoor patio! We tried a crepe and and the steak sandwich, which wasn't ver favorable and super dry/tough read more

Adorable place to stop and have breakfast. My son and I came in for a Nutella crepe and a blueberry scone. Simply executed and delicious. We had a gift card thankfully because it could get a bit pricy. Chill, peaceful atmosphere and got busier as soon as we were headed out. I've driven by here around lunchtime often and notice it's bumpin' with customers dining inside and out. read more

I ate here at the recommendation of Guess Where trips. Parking is a bit of a tricky wicket, it's close to the green and I can imagine some patient driving around is required in the summer. It is next to a decent lot, but is shared with other businesses. Seating at the cafe itself includes downstairs, upstairs, and outside so definitely more room. There is a customer restroom and a heavy emphasis on recycling. My peanut butter crepes were so delicious - they definitely had a sweetness without being overwhelming, or the peanut butter and banana being too heavy or sticky. High marks on balance! The feel is like a bunker, the building made of metal but there are so many handmade signs it feels brighter. They also have handheld pastries, all look delicious. The chocolate crepe made a great snack for the next leg of my journey. read more

Favorite spot for espresso and pastries on the shoreline!! The best team, who are welcoming, attentive, and hard working. Everything prepared with high quality ingredients then plated with intention. Whether stopping in for breakfast, lunch, or something before or after, Belle Vie has you covered. Try the blueberry scone, banana bread, avocado toast, and any of the sandwiches. read more

This was a great find on our way to Rhode Island. Tucked in Guilford,CT, this cafe is a perfect spot to satisfy your caffeine needs, with your typical coffees and teas, but also a variety of specialty drinks - with lots of fall favorites like Pumpkin Chai and Autumn Frost Latte. We had a brunch/lunch get together - BLTA, the classic but with avocado, a turkey crepe with an egg on top and a wild mushroom tartine. Food was fresh and extremely tasty. The menu has a lot of choices. And there are sweet treats as well. Everyone was pleased. The cafe has outdoor seating. There are a few tables by the counter, but there is an upstairs eating area with several tables. Staff was extremely polite and friendly. Pricing was a bit expensive in my opinion - with sandwiches around $16 and up. Portion size, however, was definitely adequate. So if you are in the area, looking for a morning beverage, perhaps some tasty pastries, breakfast or brunch, check out Belle Vie Cafe! read more

I received a gift card to Belle Vie Cafe, unfortunately, the menu is overpriced and most of the basic items are more than $15 so I settled on a $6 keto bagel with cream cheese for which I waited 10 minutes. Service was painfully slow especially with the light crowd and ample staff visible behind the counter - I couldn't imagine if they had dining customers. Overall, I will not be returning - feel free to take my balance on my gift card. read more

I've been dreaming of this lunch visit at Belle Vie Cafe from a few weeks ago. I can't wait to go back. We visited on a Saturday morning, surprising not too busy or we missed the brunch rush. The building of the cafe that is also shared with a couple other businesses is so unique. It looks like an airplane hanger for a small plane that's been completely renovated. There is a lot of patio seating and there is a second floor with an additional dining area that over looks the cafe. There were so many options for breakfast, lunch, baked goodies and drinks. The treats and breads are all baked in-house. Oh, so fresh and gluten-free options too. I opted for the Mushroom and Asparagus Crepe which I modified to be made without nuts. The crepe was prefect and flavors blend amazing together. For to drink, I got the Wicked Matcha which was an iced matcha latte with blueberry cold foam. My mom who was with me got the Green Goddess Panini that was fresh focaccia with spicy zucchini, pistachio ricotta and baby spinach. She said it was so good and loved the ricotta. It wasn't too spicy either since she can't do too much spice. She also got the Almond Joy Latte which she loved. I really wished we had grabbed some of their baked goodies like cookies, brownies, croissants, and etc to take home. I was very stuffed after lunch though and I took half of my crepe home. read more

Love Belle Vie Cafe. Fun breakfast/ lunch menu with paninis, crepes, baked items, coffee, and teas. In the summer it's a beautiful spot to sit outside, however there is seating inside. Love that they are dog friendly( keep your pets with you in the outside area). The staff is friendly and service is quick and efficient. Highly recommend! read more

This place is amazing! We are so lucky to have this eatery in Guilford, steps from the historic Green. Their espresso drinks are the best around, hands down. The pastries are just incredible - I recommend the blueberry scone, cheddar and bacon (or chive) biscuit, the pistachio caramel scone, any of the seasonal fruit items and the monkey bread. The menu is extensive, everything is very fresh and you can tell they use high quality ingredients. My go-to is the California breakfast sandwich... customize it with multigrain bread, add bacon and arugula for the best breakfast sandwich in CT! This morning I grabbed a Cobb salad for lunch from the grab-n-go fridge - a welcome new addition. Don't miss this place. read more

Really sweet cozy café here in Guilford. The staff was so friendly, the gentleman back behind the counter helped me decide on this amazing chicken avocado Panini. So warm and crispy it's the perfect Panini! Vibes were great. Everyone was in a really good mood. The music was awesome. Jams like john Mayer. The inside is a cool garage type vibe but it's very clean. They also had a nice patio space out front, which was a very popular location as it was full. And I didn't venture upstairs, but they had more seating upstairs as well. I'll definitely be going back ! read more

What a wonderful find in Guilford! Right by the center of town. Belle Vie is a cute cafe that offers gluten free , paleo, keto options. Healthy clean eating . Many of the options served are house made! Everything is made fresh and made with love! The owner really does a wonderful job providing great service and food. When I went I was excited to have some baked goods , to have a gluten-free crepe and a delicious gluten-free BLT! My friend and I shared a few dishes. Ofcourse we couldn't finish everything but we truly enjoyed every minute of it. The BLT was gluten-free but you couldn't even tell. It had bacon, avocado, tomatoes! It was perfect! The baked goods and crepe aren't overly sweet. The owner is wonderful, friendly and wants to make sure her customers are happy! The cafe has tables outside so it's perfect to grab lunch or a cup a coffee or her Signature Latte which is delicious and sit and grab a book! You won't be disappointed! And you'll leave happy! read more

Great spot for a quick lunch! They have WiFi so you're able to work from the cafe if you need to like me, but wish they had more outlets. It was very loud and pretty busy for a late Friday afternoon and was hard to concentrate on work - definitely not the kind of quiet cafe to work from. I ordered the Turkey Panini which was good but nothing special. My iced mocha hit the spot and definitely want to try some of their other menu items. It was perfect for a quick, last minute stop for lunch and WiFi! read more

This is a hard review to write because on the one hand I really enjoyed my visit but on the other hand there were lots of little things that weren't quite right. The coffee was so hot I couldn't even start drinking it for 20 minutes. The bread on the Croque Monsieur was way too thick. After spending way too long explaining I wanted a fried egg with a runny yolk that wasn't cooked on both sides I still got a flat egg very cooked on both sides with zero yolk. On a Croque Monsieur that kind of egg is a huge disappointment. The salad dressing was delicious but the salad was *drowning* in it. This place has a lovely menu, keto and gluten-free stuff (!!) and the vibe is fabulous, with very personable staff, but the food (at least the food I tried) could use some work. I also tipped too much to bus my own table and will remember that next time. It's restaurant food prices without the restaurant service. I'll for sure be back to try something else though. read more

It's always fun to visit this cafe and enjoy the new items and some old favorites from the menu. Happy to try the new Barbie latte !! I loved it !! Light flavored and not overly sweet with the cherry blossom foam! I enjoyed my omelette with spinach, ham and peppers that came with the refreshing salad and the gluten free bread. The Apple galette is my favorite right now and perfect for this transition to fall. The chocolate zucchini and lemon blueberry bread are keto but truly you can't tell because they are perfect!! Service was awesome and the ambiance it's always fun !! read more

This was my first visit to Belle Vie. I chose an omelette with spinach, mushrooms, and cheddar. Also a cheddar bacon biscuit. The counter person was polite and accommodated my special request. The omelette was served beautifully with the right balance of ingredients. The side salad was dressed to my liking. This is a great destination for a special breakfast. The ambiance was a bit cluttered. The stairway to the second floor could be a challenge. A point off for a single plate drop off on the first floor. Definitely not a show stopper. I'll be back. read more

A new favorite here! Be sure to try the Avocado Toast with roasted butternut squash! Holy smokes! So good! The pastries are also top notch! (the apple galette- yum!!!) Originally from Romania, the owner Alexandra graduated from the French Culinary Institute in Manhattan and worked in the restaurant business for over 11 years. In 2019, she decided to start a cottage food business, baking from home. Her dream was alway to have a cafe with delicious coffee, pastries and healthy seasonal food and she did it! Place has recently been revamped with new menu items. It's a big improvement in food quality. My mushroom crepe was fantastic. Plenty of seating inside, outside and upstairs. Couple of critics: my latte wasn't too warm- the mike wasn't steamed long enough and they really need to hire at least one other worker to help with making drinks on the weekends. I saw a lot of people ordering this cold purple butterfly tea which looked amazing, I'll be back and when I return I plan to give it a try! read more

I'd give the guava tart 5 stars. I'd give the apple galette 4.5 stars. The cold brew was excellent...5-star worthy for sure! The space was tight and oddly laid out. After you pick up your coffee , you have to back-track and return to the fray of people waiting in line to get milk, sugar, etc. It was very stressful. And sadly, the space was so stressful that the guy working the counter was surly...not an excuse, just an explanation. I'd give the space and service 3 stars. read more

We love Belle Vie Cafe! Our favorite breakfast place on the shoreline. I eat Gluten Free, my husband doesn't, and this place satisfies both of us with their fantastic selections. I usually have the GF crepe with bananas and strawberries, but sometimes I'll go for the GF California breakfast sandwich or shakshuka. My husband will go for the regular California sandwich, an omelet or the eggs with bacon. He will usually steal some of my crepe too. They offer plenty of delicious pastries, which my husband enjoys once in a while. A few keto options are also available. The coffees and lattes are great. We find them smooth with no bitterness. They also offer a lot of dairy free milks options. The place gets pretty busy but we never had an issue getting a table. We usually wait for the coffees at the counter, find a place to sit and the food is brought to our table. Belle Vie Cafe is definitely a must! Merci read more

Delicious find!! It's a cute little eatery, there's only a few tables downstairs but a bunch upstairs and a few outside for when it's warm out. You order your food at the register and pay and then you get a little sign, your food comes to you by the sign. My mom got the avocado toast and she said it was incredible. I ordered the shakshuka, which I've been wanting to try for a while now, but there isn't a lot of places around here that serve it. Will definitely be coming back!! Oh, also ordered the guava cheese danish for tea later, that was KILLER!!! read more

I had the spinach and mushroom crepe and it was delicious. My husband had the guava pastry. It was also really good and flaxy. You could really taste the guava. Love this spot! The owner is a sweetheart, customer centric and family oriented. The coffee drinks are well made, I usually go vanilla iced latte or coconut iced coffee. The food was great. Was there in the summer and back for New Year's Eve. The issue we had was that they lost our order and we had to ask about it and the whole order even the coffee was lost. They finally found it and made it right away. It would have been nice to offer a free coffee for the inconvenience. I would still return when in Guilford because the food is fresh and delicious and they have a culture to be eco-friendly. read more

Great little place! The outside resembles an old airplane hangar. Very cool and modern industrial inside. They had some great scones and breads, etc., lots of coffees and teas to choose from. They also have a good menu for breakfast dishes and lunch as well. I ordered an omelette with side salad. I enjoyed it very much. We also shared a blueberry scone and that was good too. My iced mocha was delicious! The one downfall was the elimination of straws. There was so much mocha on the bottom that was hard to mix in and would have been great if I have a straw to sip my coffee. But all good.
