Service was great and the two ladies that were working were friendly and welcoming. Food options were great and the prices are great. It was clean and service was quick for it to be semi busy. We will definitely return and add this place on our coffee stop list.

Malibu Smoothie (Sans Mango)

Came here after getting a $25 gift card, and would come back here on my own dime if in the area. The food was decent, and reasonably priced across the board. The smoothie I got was missing an ingredient (issues was remedied later in this review) making the overall taste a little acidic, but still very delicious. Got a 24oz smoothie for $7, which I think was a good price. The service here was very nice, with the cashier polite and friendly. Due to item shortage, they had one less ingredient for my Malibu smoothie (mango). Cashier was apologetic and gave me a dollar off the order as a result, which was very kind of them. The ambiance was a little loud, but not terrible. They had multiple soft chairs to sit in with coffee tables, which I enjoyed. It was crowded, but that just attests to the popularity of the location. Bathroom was in good order and clean. Overall, the store was very nice, clean, and welcoming. Will come here to use up the rest of my gift card, and will come back whenever I want to treat myself. Great local spot!

Cafe au Lait & Straw-Nana

My friend enjoyed the cafe au lait and while I crave coffee, I was looking for a refreshing drink, a d priced the smoothie. It was perfect, not too sweet and would come back again.

Nothing on their menu caught my eye. We got there around 10:45am, and the pastry showcase was pretty much empty. Not one employee asked me if I needed help or offered a suggestion. All 3 ladies just kept looking at me. Needless to say, we went around the corner to another coffee shop to check them out. 2 stars because I didn't get to make a purchase. That was based on (the lack of) customer service. I'll be back to update this post when I get to actually try something.

Great coffee! So many varieties to choose from. I requested an americano. Really hit the spot with the cold weather kicking in. I ordered food as well. It was tasty. I sat in the comfy chairs with my friend and we chatted for more than an hour. The staff are so kind and hospitable. We were welcomed and they checked back. Really nice experience. I will return.

While in Madison yesterday, I found a little coffee shop, with a lovely spacious patio for sitting outside on a nice spring day. This is a coffee shop, but they also offer smoothies, breakfast and lunch. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I got their iced coffee and my friend got the cappuccino. I also added a bit of chocolate powder as I was adding creamer to my coffee. The inside is very basic, not the most aesthetically inviting place I've ever seen. There were a few people working on their computers. We loved sitting outside with our coffees, it was a beautiful 70 degree day, with delicious coffee in hand, and a nice amount of other people doing the same. The coffee was perfect and a great pick me up. The outdoor seating was also perfect for such a lovely day. Their little garden is coming to life. I can't comment on their food, since I didn't get any this time. I would definitely come here again, especially for their outdoor seating and also to try one of their lunch options.

Green omelette with avocado broccoli and spinach was huge.

Convenient stop for those en route to Newport RI or points north. They have ordering through toast tab or phone; when we are in a rush calling ahead an order saves us wait time. Convenient parking. Fair prices.

Got to work a little early for my day meeting and never been in Madison for long decided to Yelp for a breakfast spot and this one caught my eye. Lucky for me that I passed the usually Starbucks for something more local. I was able to enjoy a delicious bagel sandwich. I'm not usually a spicy guy with food but decided to live a little with a Toasted Cheddar Jalapeño bagel finished off with bacon, egg and cheese. I was glad that it had a kick but didn't kill me for the rest of the day. The bale was nicely toasted with a good heaping of cheese and bacon with a fried egg. I decided to treat myself to a smoothie as well taking the employee's recommendation for the South Beach smoothie will banana, mango and almond milk. Can't recall the last fruit in it but I can recall the drink being yummy and with me usually not being a banana guy I''m glad that it wasn't too overpowering with the banana. With some indoor and outdoor seating this coffee house has been a hit in the local "downtown" of Madison. With my bagel and drink at hand, I enjoyed a stroll on the sidewalk and some heads did peak at what I was enjoying from Madison Coffee House.

Avocado toast w/ over easy eggs - a little expensive for what it is, but it was done well.

Counter service inside, but many outdoor tables to sit and enjoy a casual breakfast or coffee with plastic ware. Service on a Sunday morning was pretty quick despite being busy. The avocado toast with over easy eggs was just what my son was looking for to start his day, and the scrambled eggs w/ sour dough bread and home fries filled me up. The buttered sour dough was delicious and the scrambled eggs were a good portion, though the home fries lacked salt. Regular black coffee was decent. Had some breakfast envy when I saw the side of bacon delivered to the table next to us. Seemed like a really nice place for locals to congregate with friends.

Good for coffee, but my food order is wrong nearly every single time I order. They do not read the tickets carefully.

Good food. Coffee is ok, but Madison has limited options. Friendly staff and comfortable seating. One of our preferred spots for breakfast.

Please add prices to the menu!!! It's ridiculous that you don't know how much you're spending until you're at the register.

Fast forward to today, I love finding Cohen's Bagels at local coffee shops. I finally was able to visit their store and I was very impressed by the selection available since it was after the morning rush. I got a Bagel Melt on my favorite Cheddar Cheese Bagel. This was so cheesy! It had chive cream cheese, cheddar cheese, tomato, and raw onion. The sandwich was very messy. I also got an Iced Chai Tea Latte that was pretty good. I like their bagels because of the variety of flavors, there are chewy, perfectly sized,!and easy to eat. The staff were very friendly and my order came out quick. There was even a large dining room area (this is where you picked up your order). It was very spacious, many tables, clean, and open. I will be back again at Cohen's Bagel because they are my favorite where it's stopping for a quick lunch or grabbing an assortment of bagels and breads for at home.

There is outdoor seating during the warmer months, but it's at the intersection of the two busiest roads in town. No drive through, but they seem to do a robust take-out business. The shop…read morewas empty when I arrived and there was one black woman working the counter and an Asian lady and two other women chatting up a storm doing God knows what. I ordered two simple coffee and three food items. I got the coffees by the woman at the counter but watched as she now handled a growing line of customers behind me and nobody was attending to the food tickets popping out of the printer because the three other women were laughing things up. Finally one of them came over and heated my sandwich and then left to wander around the front of the shop. She came back and handed me the sandwich but didn't bother to get me the coffee cake or oatmeal I paid for, The other customers came and went and food items that could just be grabbed and didn't require any preparation were promptly dispatched by the woman working the counter. Meanwhile the other baristas were toddling around as patrons waited patiently for their drinks being prepared in slow motion. At one point my coffee cake showed up but no oatmeal. It wasn't until I saw other food items requiring preparation getting handed to multiple customers and nobody having even started the oatmeal that I blew. At that point they all started running around in circles trying to figure out the oatmeal situation. Not to belabor the point a young manager man came out from the back room, asked me what happened and did what his employees couldn't....prepare the oatmeal. But....there were no tops for the oatmeal bowl. Nobody could find any. So the oatmeal was put in a coffee cup. Usually they give you brown sugar for the oatmeal and when I noticed they hadn't I asked. They went looking again and reported that they didn't have any brown sugar. No bowl tops and no brown sugar. Hmmm. They no longer put sugar packets out for some insane reason even though they did the day before, Thanksgiving, when I had been in. As I didn't order any food items requiring preparation that day, things were fine. It is clear this shop is not well managed and somebody should either send all the staff to some remedial boot camp training or cut them loose so they can find folks who understand how to do the job and will service the customers who pay their salaries in a timely, attentive and efficient way. I was so tempted to grab back the tip I left. I didn't. Perhaps I should have. I will say this, if I had known they were going to be this bad, I would not have tipped and I ALWAYS tip.

We went in on a Friday afternoon where it seemed to be a little busy for the few staff working. While the owner had said it would take a little while for our two sandwiches and one platter, it really took no time at all. We ordered a BLT (not pictured because it was THAT good), the Butter Baby, and the Nibbler platter of cheese/meat that we let them pick out for us. The bread on both sandwiches was buttery, crisp, and downright delicious. The cheese plate was equally as delicious and Monger picked out/explained everything on the plate. I wish I remembered what they were!! We paired the cheese with a local rose and a local IPA as this is a BYOB type of place. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable, the place was so cute, and the cheese was fantastic. We will 110% be back next time we're visiting!!
