Stopped by this morning for breakfast. Great spot to eat outside on a beautiful day. The omelette and avocado toast were delicious and the staff were super friendly.

Came here again for Father's Day, the place has really improved! I enjoyed my omelette as it was very packed with contents and delicious. The price you pay for the quality of omelette is also very good! Don't know if it's because other places have gouged their prices, but Pa's is a good cost. The service was also very nice, with such friendly staff that made for an enjoyable experience! The ambiance was also pleasant as well, the indoor seat perfect for the rainy morning with good access to condiments and the counter!

Great breakfast find! Opens at 8 most days, nice outdoor seating with umbrellas and a nice view of some water. Food is better than average with wholesome options and fast service. Try the Athena breakfast sandwich for a nice egg and spinach omelet on wheat toast.

Came for a Father's Day breakfast with the family. It's a small place near the marina in Guilford. You order at a window and when the buzzer goes off, pick up your food at a window on the other side of the building. Despite the holiday, it didn't take long to order and prepare our meals. I got the breakfast platter for $12. The eggs were cooked way beyond over easy, which meant I couldn't dip my toast into the yolks. Toast was two thick slices of rye, with seeds! Kielbasa was fantastic and generous. The spicy tots were a refreshing twist on standard tots. Overall, a solid meal for the price, and we plan to return for lunch soon!

Cozy cafe with yummy, fresh breakfast and beautiful view! Love the name as it reminds us of our beloved father (who's in heaven).

This is a surprise little place that sits near the Guilford marina, it is tucked out the way a little bit plentiful parking as long as you make your turn. There is a beautiful view of the Long Island. It is outdoor seating along with a pick up window where they give you buzzer. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The tacos were amazing some of the best I've had and at first I thought I would still be hungry but it ended up being a satisfying meal. Definitely a good restaurant and adds to CT shoreline food.

Pa's place in winter, you order at the window to the right.

There's even some outdoor seating on the patio out back when the weather's nice. All the makings of a winning restaurant, complete with tasty and fresh food on the healthy side of the fence. So, why only two stars? Our waitress was decidedly snippy, and on several occasions made us feel as if we were being difficult--which is so far from the truth. Exhibit A: My mother orders a cobb salad, which is supposed to come with avocado. Hers does not. My mom says to the waitress, "I think this is supposed to come with avocado. My salad was missing it." Waitress: "Okay, I"ll get you *some more*--implying that my mother was trying to scam them into giving her more. Exhibit B: My salad, marinated chick peas atop some garden greens, was supposed to come with a lemon vinaigrette. There was no dressing on the side, nor was the salad already dressed. She tried to tell me that the salad didn't come with a dressing, but if *I* thought it would make my meal better, I could have some. (Ummm, it's on the menu. Can I please just have it?) My mother and I both could have done without the condescending tone. Even the process of requesting some bread for the table made us feel like we were imposing. In all, I understand that Exhibits A and B stem from a kitchen problem, but the waitress just handled things poorly. And it wasn't like she was new to the job either. I'm not saying the customer truly is always right (though we were); however, wtih service like that, I'd rather dine elsewhere. Tis a shame; the food was pretty good.

Our server was so out of touch with good customer service. All food and otherwise establishments should demand great customer service from their employees. Our server was everything Holly said. Here is where my extra 2 cents comes in. It is an aestheticly nice place, with all the acrutements in place. However, I did not like the way my cobb salad veggies etc were chopped into tiny bits. I couldn't keep any of it on a leaf to enjoy. Most of the "vittles" fell down to the bottom of my salad bowl as they would not stay on my fork. That combined with the dissapointing service - brings me to a score of 2 stars.

The menu is on a sign and it was hard to decide what to order. We chose the grilled shrimp, clam special, grilled corn on the cob, grilled whole lobster and a veggie kebab. Everything was cooked perfectly and it was fun to watch the employees work the huge grills. The clam special was topped with a sauce and I've never had anything like it before. The shrimp were juicy as well. The veggies had a great charred flavor and didn't need any seasoning. Anytime I pass Guilford on 95, I'll be sure to stop at The Place!

All the seafood dishes we had were good. The only thing that was not good at all was bbq chicken ($12.95). We didn't even eat it. We just threw it out. And the veggiebob ($7.95) was just okay. But we came here with the intention of eating seafood and we were happy with all the seafood we had, hence the 5 stars instead of 4 stars. Here is what we ordered and really liked: -lobster (can't remember what size) - $37.95 for 1.5lb & $31.95 for 1.25lb & $25.95 for 1lb - juicy and delicious -plain roast clams - $14.95 - came out on a steel grill put on top of the napkin dispenser -steamed mussels - $14.95 -shrimp - $6 for half a dozen & $11.95 for a dozen -roasted corn - $3.95 - they dip it in melted butter before giving it to you. Most expensive corn I've had in awhile. Good but could've had more butter on the actual corn when it came to the table What's cool to watch is that all the food is cooked over a fire grill in the center of the place, especially when they take the corn off the grill it in and dip in a container of melted butter. It's very rustic and chill here and definitely feels like camp vibes or just hanging out friends in your backyard grilling food and talking by the campfire. You sit on wooden stumps, which definitely fit into the vibes of the place. (If you're wearing a skirt or shorts, maybe sit in a regular chair because it is uncomfortable and hurts when you stand up from sitting down.) I wish I read all the reviews before coming here instead of just drooling at the social media videos about this place. Remember how I said that the vibes are chill here? They are so chill that it's BYOB, your own sauces, condiments, sides, snacks, drinks, and even your own tableware (plate, utensils, fancy cloth napkins, tablecloth), etc. Some people even brought little coolers to keep their drinks cold. What they have is very limited especially with condiments. So, if I ever go back, I'm gonna be more prepared. We were definitely super jealous about how other people came prepared while they were having a feast. Would I drive all the way here for an expensive meal here again for the vibes? Not really because I'm in NJ. Would I go if I was in the area? Yes, probably. If you are lucky to be living nearby or driving through or nearby, it's definitely a fun and yummy seafood place to check out. Things to know before you go: -It's all outdoor seating, so be ready for the bugs and heat. And I wouldn't wear anything super nice because there is ash flying everywhere. If you're not an outdoorsy person, maybe this is not the best eating experience for you. -It's CASH only. They accept checks, but does anyone use checks anymore other than to pay some bills? -When it's busy, there is a long wait, so be ready for that. -When you arrive, you find an available table and then a server will come and take your order. When you're done, there are huge garbage cans for you to throw out your trash. -I suggest bringing wipes because your hands will get dirty with the seafood. -I saw that some people brought their dogs, so if your dog is chill, you can probably bring it. -And make sure to bring any extra stuff for your meal as mentioned above because they only provide the bare essentials.
