Saturday night on the shoreline usually means long waits, crowded lobbies, and hungry disappointment... but not at J&M Dockside. After being turned away from Aqua (one hour wait and no option for a reservation) and prepping ourselves for the usual hike to Shanks, we stumbled across this spot, and honestly, what a win. There was no line, no wait, and plenty of open tables right by the dock. Everyone was posted up with drinks in hand, and since it's BYOB, the vibe was relaxed and personal, like a backyard party with waterfront views. We grabbed a seat and were helped quickly by a super friendly staff. The energy was low key in the best way. The food surprised us in all the right ways. I started with the clam chowder, which was a little salty, but still really good: thick, creamy, and satisfying. My friend ordered the salmon sandwich, and we both agreed it was excellent. The fish was fresh, flaky, and seasoned well, served on a soft bun that held up perfectly. The chicken tenders, turned out to be real cuts of chicken, not the frozen kind, which made a big difference. The sweet potato fries were crisp, hot, and the perfect side. We had a great time without any of the stress that usually comes with trying to eat out on a summer Saturday night. Fast service, good food, friendly people, and no wait? That's rare on the shoreline. I'll absolutely be back, and next time I'm bringing my own bottle of rose too.

Food is decent, if you want a quick bite though don't come here. At least a half hour wait for "quick" service food.

Chef Mike and cute Dalhia (behind the counter) were very friendly and even took pictures of us all.

We drove to Clinton last summer after it was recommend and had to return with my mom this summer. The majority of the menu can be made gluten free! There are limited fountain drinks available but I saw people bringing their sangria etc with. It is on the water so if it is a cold day and you want to sit outside dress accordingly! I added pictures from last summer. I thought I reviewed oops!

We ordered two lobster rolls, a chicken sandwich, fried clam strips, fried shrimp, and lobster nachos. This wasn't cheap (I didn't see the total as someone else paid). The chicken sandwich was basic but no one's there for the chicken haha. The fries were crispy, the clams were fresh and the shrimp was deliciously jumbo and lightly battered. The lobster rolls were ok, they didn't have much flavor even with the butter, but we were served good sized chunks so that was nice. The lobster nachos were more impressive to look at than to eat because it was basically cold lobster, a corn salsa, and dry tortilla chips. There's nothing else served other than a spritz of lime so the dish is pretty dry on its own. I would probably come again because it's a pretty view and it's BYOB, maybe get the lobster rolls, but I'd definitely come back for the jumbo shrimp!

It's definitely a little more expensive than some of the other lobster spots we tried, but I honestly liked the food here the most. The lobster meat is lightly seasoned with what tasted like butter and lemon, and it all worked perfectly together without overpowering the lobster. The bun was incredibly soft and loaded with so much meat that it was practically falling apart in the middle. We got the half-pound lobster roll both times and would absolutely order it again, but it is $60. The clam chowder was also excellent. It's creamy without being too thick, and you can really taste all the ingredients. The hot dogs seem to be really popular -- almost everyone was ordering a lobster roll and a hot dog combo. My son loved them so much he had two the first visit! The outdoor seating and water views make it such a relaxing place to sit and eat, and there's also a market on-site where you can buy lobster and shellfish. Definitely one of our favorite stops and somewhere we'd happily return to.

It contained only a couple of small pieces of undesirable lobster meat and was honestly awful. The lobster roll was no better. It contained more undesirable pieces of lobster, was very dry, and I could barely taste any butter. The roll itself tasted dry and stale, which only made matters worse. The corn seemed either frozen or canned and was completely flavorless. The coleslaw was the one bright spot--it was fresh and actually quite good. Overall, the meal was overpriced for the quality received. Nothing about the food suggested care, attention to detail, or pride in the final product. Based on this experience, I would not return and would not recommend it to others.

My sister and her friend visited Pica Chica Tacos recently and we happened to be in the area. The young staff was very friendly and helpful. We all decided to order Taco Entrées, which came with two tacos, rice, and beans. We were able to choose from a list and mix or match our tacos. I loved that they offered vegetarian options, so I tried the Cauliflower Taco and the Veggie Taco. My husband and mom tried the Beef Taco, Chicken Taco, and Pork al Pastor. We also ordered Juan-tons, a fun food fusion--roasted corn, poblano peppers, onions, and cheddar all wrapped in a wonton pocket and fried. So delicious! There was a sauce bar with over 30 different sauces (I tried to count them, but lost track). Our meals were packed in to-go containers, but they still had great presentation, making them Instagram-worthy. The bright colors from the red cabbage and pineapple not only looked good but also brought the flavors together. The tacos were generously stuffed. My favorite was the Cauliflower Taco--the cauliflower was perfectly fried and not greasy. I'll definitely be ordering it again. Overall, check out Pica Chica Tacos! While we went for tacos, they offer so much more to try, including burritos, chimichangas, burrito bowls, and desserts.
