This is good food, huge calzone. Freshly made pasta, and basil sauce, was so nice. Friendly and attentive staff.

There are so many choices to choose from. I found a business that had mostly locals having lunch…read more I ordered a tomato pasta, a side of tripe, vegetables and potatoes. The portions are a good size , I finished the tripe and vegetables. Ate half of the pasta and potatoes. The service was quick and very effective. They have tables and chairs for their customers to set, enjoy their lunch and beer or wine.

One day it said it was down for maintenance or something and then it never came back online for me. I don't think once until even after I came back from Italy. On to the food. No I can't tell you the name of all of these specific places that we tried in this food hall. First, let me start off by saying that this is one of the largest food halls that I have ever been to, possibly even the largest. Again, this place is huge with plenty to choose from in a lot of variety. They had plenty of different Italian foods, burgers, gelato, a bar, and I think I even saw a vegetarian and a Taqueria. We all ended up going to different booths. My friends ordered a couple pizza slices, ravioli, wild boar Ragu pasta, and I got a Porchetta plate. We had joked that my friends ravioli tasted like Chef Boyardee from the can. The wild boar pasta while OK flavor had very chalky textured meat. My friend's pizza he said was so so. The huge disappointment for me was the Porchetta. due to the nature of it being a food hall it's hit or miss so my guess is that these guys just cook a giant Porchetta and it's a hope for the best type of situation. They probably just slice it as the orders come in. It looked like he stuck it in the oven to reheat, but the whole process results in you getting a plate of dry overcooked Porchetta. Maybe if you come early in the day when they first open, it's great but I highly recommend you avoid this place at night. It's a little sad to say, but I took maybe five bites in total and tossed the rest out. I was hungry, but not desperately hungry that I felt I needed to eat this. There was a gelato spot right next to our table, which I did try. I don't think I caught the name, but one of the flavors on there said it was award-winning for some kind of gelato competition. I got it and I must admit it was pretty good. Anyways, I wouldn't tell you not to come to this food hole, but I would tell you to keep your expectations in check.

Great pizza, friendly service. These were Napoli or Neapolitan thin crust pizzas, and thin crust…read moreis my personal favorite. Easy to eat, easy to eat lots of slices with a focus on the toppings. We tried two to split amongst the four of us, their Pesto and their Cotto de Funghi. Both were excellent and both quickly disappeared. We had gotten a table inside to escape the brutal heat that has accompanied us on this vacation. We were all thirsty and kept grabbing drinks from their cooler, waving them in the air to staff so they could keep track. That created kind of a friendly bond for the short time we were there, just adding to our positive experience.

This is a Neopolitan style of pizza with its soft thin dough with a crispy bottom and chewy high edges. First off, they only serve pizza and drinks, so no salads, appetizers, pastas. But that's a good sign when you find a place that specializes in only one dish. We ordered the bufalo and added mushrooms and arugula, the marinara, and the salame. Actually the marinara was our favorite since you could taste the garlic and the oregano. We ate inside but they do have tables outside. They are even able to shape your pizza into a heart! Amore!!!! We met the owner Roberto and he was so friendly, his staff was great and our pizzas were served quickly! If you are craving pizza and want an intimate cozy restaurant with GREAT flavorful pizza, Pizza Napoli 1955 is a must stop!
