    Bavette Frutti di mare.

Local neighborhood trattoria with fabulous food. We lucked out getting a table with no reservation while several arriving after us were turned away. We both ordered the pasta w seafood (di mare) and a side dish of spinach w garlic and oil. A wonderful glass of house white topped it off. Sitting next to us a couple ordered a pizza that looked fabulous. We may stop in for lunch tomorrow. I learned the pizza chef makes the dough 72 hours before using it, no surprise, they said it was fabulous. Dinner total for us, 58 euros!!! I know.

DELICIOUS food! Best food I've had in Italy. Kind wait staff, great options. Relatively quiet American pop, great vibes.

We were looking for a well rated reasonably priced restaurant near our hotel. Da Nasine was easy walking distance. Family owned, mom & dad barely speak English. Their son, is far more bilingual. We ordered Chianti. Then I ordered their version of Fruitti de Mare: linguini, buried in muscles, clams and small shrimp. Served in a light sauce and served with bread & olive oil. My wife went with a wife noodle pasta in a beef Ravi sauce. Again, lightly sauced. Wonderfully flavored. We're quickly learning Italian cooking isn't smothered (drowned) in sauce like American recipes. Everything was delicious. Served hot. Ample portions that don't leave you with the typical pasta heaviness. Their pizza looked far Good, too. We watched a young fella devour an entire 12" pepperoni pizza without any help! Pricing is very reasonable. And you're treated to a home made lemoncello as you leave. If you're on the neighborhood, you won't want to miss this little treasure.

This place really feels like home made food. Prices are a little on the high end, but similar to any places around that area. The place is run by a nice lady who adapted her house to host her guests. At the end they give you a complementary Limoncello to digest your delicious food

This was a very charming restaurant with a cute patio out back and some really good dishes. My favorites were the pasta. The octopus was a bit chewy and dry but had some good flavors including the potatoes it was on. Service was good but they were busy and it did seem like they were a bit overwhelmed at times.

The best food I have had in Italy by far! I love pizza and this is the best pizza I have put in my mouth!

    Pistachio ice cream

The food and service were excellent! I ordered ravioli and the pistachio ice cream for dessert.

I had a fantastic steak, Antipasto Toscano, and wine at the Ristorante Pizzeria da Nasone. The restaurant looks fantastic inside, service is great, and prices are reasonable. The 3 euro cover charge is high and the 3.5 euros for water is high but food prices are reasonable and the food is really good. The Toscano antipasti is too large for a single person but I was able to finish it off. Overall the portions are large so I recommend you split the pizzas .

This lovely family-owned restaurant was the highlight of our time in Florence. Every single thing we ordered was fantastic. We tried the seafood pasta (bavette), steak filet, spinach side dish, pizza, and desserts. The desserts are works of art. The wine and cocktails are generous pours and the Aperol Spritz in particular is probably the best tasting one we've ever had. Despite being very busy, the service was excellent. The chef and servers are all friendly and caring. Highly recommend this place.

This place had good reviews and was close to our room. The pizza coming out of this oven was delicious, also had a nice house salad.

This is my favorite place in Florence. The Frutti Del Mar is amazingly fresh, and the pizza crust is simply perfect.

From the outside, it looks like a grand, iron-and-glass structure typical of European markets; inside, it opens into a bustling, multi-level space filled with food vendors, communal tables, and constant movement. The vibe is energetic, social, and slightly chaotic in a fun way - perfect for grazing, group dining, or trying multiple cuisines in one visit (from Italian to American to Mexican!). We stopped in for a quick lunch at around 2pm on a Wednesday; there was plenty of seating at high-top tables, and QR codes on paper menus make it easy to explore all the different food vendor options. It's also a fun activity to peruse the market, taking in different sights, smells, and flavors. All of us ended up opting for Schiacciatas (large Italian sandwiches that are a staple in Florence) from Massimiliano Parri, which all ended up ranging from €10-12, depending on toppings - yes, it's more expensive than what you'd get from a traditional schiacciateria, but you're also paying for the market's location and convenience. We appreciated the fact that they shave the meat right in front of you! My schiacciata came with freshly shaved ham atop crusty white bread, slathered with burrata cheese, and sprinkled with arugula and figs (I opted for no additional olive oil, since I found the ham quite rich already). I loved the contrast of textures and flavors, though I will say that the bread ended up cutting the roof of my mouth! All in all, Mercato Centrale is a bit touristy, but still miles better (and cheaper) than most "Italian" sandwich places you'd find in the US (pro tip: save your receipt for free use of their bathrooms). The variety can't be beaten, prices are reasonable for a central market, and it's steps from some of Florence's most iconic spots.
