This is a family owned restaurant, dad is managing the fire roasted pizza oven and daughter is waiting the tables. I believe mom is the kitchen chef. Darling small patio and a cozy feel , with a few indoor tables too. There were locals eating here, not just tourists, and with good reason! The food and service were excellent. We were delighted! We did make s reservation, not sure if that's always needed but it's worth planning for. Our only critique that night was the music which was a little too electric rock that night for our taste. We attributed it to the one crabbier member of the family, an adult son who appeared to be unhappily stuck on dish duty that night and perhaps wanted to be out galavanting instead. It felt like part of real life in Italy and did not detract from an excellent food experience. And make sure to have their delicious panna cotta fir dessert, which I verified that mama made. We had some drinks around the corner and were hungry so decided to come here due to the great reviews. We walked in and the guy who spoke to us almost seemed bothered that we came in. I felt like it was almost an inconvenience to ask if there was a table for 2 . Once we got sat the waitress who helped us was very nice. We didn't realize how big the pizzas were but the price was great for two of them. Very unassuming place that packs a big punch. Looks smaller than it actually is. Outstanding super friendly service and authentic food reasonably priced. Chicken wow just wow! Best ever. Pizza was damn good as well. Now how did we come about this 5 star experience? Did I check Yelp? Nope, I had to pee very bad and my wife found the closest place that was open early for dinner. And with that we found this gem. I then looked at yelp reviews and saw it deserving had 5 stars. I know Michelin Stars are given at high end "rich" restaurants but I would put this chef up against any of those. I've eaten at a Michelin Star driven restaurant and after eating that Scalopinna De Pollo I would put this Chef up against that one any day. Bravo! Great service and dinner! read more

Local neighborhood trattoria with fabulous food. We lucked out getting a table with no reservation while several arriving after us were turned away. We both ordered the pasta w seafood (di mare) and a side dish of spinach w garlic and oil. A wonderful glass of house white topped it off. Sitting next to us a couple ordered a pizza that looked fabulous. We may stop in for lunch tomorrow. Personally I felt that the calzone was burnt I know it's their style but burnt is burnt. I recommend the truffle ravioli. In my personal opinion, I liked the pasta at another restaurant better. I like the ambience and the chefs. It's just that every time we went there, it was CLOSED. Can't trust business hours sometimes. And there was always line!!! We went there and was told 20 min wait so I went back to the hotel to change bc it was getting chilly. It was fine, we were able to eat there. We were looking for a well rated reasonably priced restaurant near our hotel. Da Nasine was easy walking distance. Family owned, mom & dad barely speak English. Their son, is far more bilingual. We ordered Chianti. Then I ordered their version of Fruitti de Mare: linguini, buried in muscles, clams and small shrimp. Served in a light sauce and served with bread & olive oil. My wife went with a wife noodle pasta in a beef Ravi sauce. Again, lightly sauced. Wonderfully flavored. We're quickly learning Italian cooking isn't smothered (drowned) in sauce like American recipes. Everything was delicious. Served hot. Ample portions that don't leave you with the typical pasta heaviness. Their pizza looked far Good, too. We watched a young fella devour an entire 12" pepperoni pizza without any help! Pricing is very reasonable. And you're treated to a home made lemoncello as you leave. If you're on the neighborhood, you won't want to miss this little treasure. read more

The 3 euro cover charge is high and the 3.5 euros for water is high but food prices are reasonable and the food is really good. I couldn't believe how much food we got and how amazing it tasted. the second time I went I ordered the curry pasta with shrimp and that was so delicious! It was a heavier dish and I prefer the seafood pasta but it was still so amazing. Very rich flavors. The service was probably the best part though.
