This is my favorite place in Florence. The Frutti Del Mar is amazingly fresh, and the pizza crust is simply perfect.

We stayed at a place nearby. Glad we found this place, we felt like it's a hidden gem that's for sure! Happy we had the chance to try the food here, it was delicious. So good, in fact that we actually ended up visiting this place two nights in a row cause it was just that good! I had Spaghetti with meatballs the first night. The sauce was not too sour, not too much sauce, just the right amount. The spaghetti, al dente. The meatballs, a little smaller than I was expecting but maybe that's just because I was expecting U.S. sized meatballs lol. The second night we visited this place, I had the Spaghetti Alla Spoglia(a mix of seafood that includes clams, mussels, and shrimp). I don't know if it was because it was near closing time or what but this was a generous amount of seafood :) Good food, good prices, and a very friendly family. Looking for off the beaten path for a true Florence dining. This family run Pizzeria serves great Firestone pizza oven pizzas with a buttery crispy edge crust but also has MANY other tasty dishes available to satisfy everyone! Once inside you will find a cute open air courtyard in the back for dining as well as indoor seating options. The prices are reasonable, service here was amazing! My hubby and I had both a Florentine with sardines/capers as well as a salami topped pizza and both were tasty, truly hit the spot. The house wine also was so good! After dinner, the chef even came out and had limoncello with us on the patio. Worth walking a few blocks to enjoy true Florence hospitality in a family run establishment. We came here on a Saturday evening after learning that many restaurants in the area don't open until 7:30. We came in around 4 and started with a big jug of delicious wine for 8Euro. We both ordered pizza and it was delicious! The service was so lovely! I went to take a photo of our pizza getting out into the oven, and before I took it I asked the chef if it was ok, and he instructed me to come around and into the kitchen so I could get a better look! I watched as he slices everything freshly into our pizzas. At the end he came around and slammed a bottle of lemonchello on our table with two glasses. We took just a small taste to be respectful, and he came back around and tripled the amount we had taken. He was happy to make us happy! I love this restaurant! It appears to be run by a husband and wife, and if you can sit in the back with the sparkly lights, you will see him making pizza. I can't remember the names but I go the pizza with spicy salami, cooked ham, and sausage. My wife got the pizza with artichokes, olives, mushrooms, and swapped cooked ham for spicy salami. We asked for Parmesan cheese that we sprinkled on top and also sprinkled a little olive oil on top. We were blown away by how good and fresh it was. Maybe the best pizza I have ever had. Absolutely perfect place for a late night dinner. We returned from a day trip hungry and tired, and this restaurant was close to our hotel. The service was fast and phenomenal--every staff member was kind and attentive despite the language barrier. The chef even gave my friend and I free glasses of limoncello after our meal! The food is absolutely amazing and extremely fresh. The Bolognese was phenomenal. Pizza is also fantastic. They offer a lot of options for the menu as well. A bit out of the city center but worth it, and worth straying away from all the overpriced mediocre places near the Duomo. The staff engaged with my friends and I as we ate here and found out we were studying in Sorrento and gave us complimentary Limoncello shots. A wonderful gesture. Such a wonderful family owned restaurant. My fiance and I have had way too much meat in our past week in Europe and were looking for seafood. I had the Risotto Seafood and my finance got the pizza seafood. Wow, it was so delicious and fresh. There was such a generous amount of seafood in both of our meal. It was so good, we both finished up everything even though we had already eaten before our dinner. We've had pizza a few times now, and this was the first time we got thin crust pizza, which is our favorite. We were starting to wonder if Italians ate thin crust pizzas, since we didn't see much around. They use a brick oven to bake the pizza. We love going to Da Nasone! We have been to Florence 3 times since we discovered Da Nasone and we always visit it multiple times. The pizza, the calzones, the pasta and the beef dishes are all wonderful. But the best part is the family that owns the restaurant. They make you feel like part of their family and welcome you with open arms. The atmosphere is warm and cozy and the food and wine are so good. On our way out, they gave us shots of a "digestive" which tasted like shots of Fireball to wash down our appetizing dinner. Decent, affordable pizzas, despite the extreme tourist trap vibe. We had the "Atomica" and "Chef's inspiration" (the "I'm feeling lucky" option) pizzas. Both were tasty, though overly oily. We also ordered two grilled vegetable side dishes which were disappointing. Service wasn't bad, though I've never before been asked to pick up and move my own table to make room for another party. Avoid sitting inside if it's a hot day - the air inside gets hotter than the ambient temperature - especially bad if you order a hot dish like pizza. Also be wary of the extra €3.50 per person fee on top of the flat €4 table fee. read more
