The good: spaghetti & salads. The bad: slow service & calzone meat was undercooked (see picture). Too bad we won't go back - so close to the hotel.

Nice location near our hotel and the train station. Reviews were good here and it was very busy (with mainly tourists and students, but some locals.) Service is good. Our shared Antipasta di mare had fake crab. Fiorentina pizza and Scalloppina al limon were just okay.

The waiter was very nice and super helpful. They had space for 6 people but not outside. There are many spaces outside. The food is very delicious. I ended up adding parmeson to my pizza but it did not need it.

Deliciosa la comida y muy buen servicio, nos atendieron muy buen. Muy buen precio.

Lo recomendamos, muy rica la comida y buenas porciones, muy buen precio y magnifica atencion.

La Grotta is a great pizzeria conveniently very close to our hotel and the main Florence train station. The food was very flavorful, fresh, and reasonably priced. We were very tired so we opted to get to-go but most people seem to eat here. The pizza was very good, but interestingly was not a red sauce (no complaints as we loved it, but just so you know). We also tried the cheese gnocchi which was our favorite part of the entire meal. The focaccia wasn't what I expected but it was tasty. Definitely well worth a stop if you're staying nearby. I 100% recommend the grotta pizza and the gnocchi!

We came here for a quick lunch based on all the great reviews. After eating here, not really sure why there are so many great reviews. Don't get me wrong, the food is cheap. But the salad we ordered was wilted and bruised, had no moisture left so the leaves were soft. The porcini mushroom in our pizza, I bit into several sour pieces and had to spit them out immediately, clearly gone bad. The carbonara pasta was the worst pasta we had in the city. It was covered in a ton of basic sauce and nothing else. We had house wine everywhere we dined, but theirs was really not consumable. Hard pass, pay a few more dollars for better quality food!

I arrived in my hotel starving because I was 12 hour jet lagged having come from from Hawaii! I came after the restaurant closed around 1:10 am , thinking I would eat whatever they had left to serve! Gracella the owner It was very empathetic about my hunger situation! And was so apologetic that the oven had already turned off and the stove was already cold but she did walk me three restaurants down the street to a grilled chicken bar with vegetables and told me that I was very clean! She wanted to make sure I got something to eat! I went there the next day to eat of her wonderful food she has one of the few restaurants that I've seen have the greatest grilled vegetables and Vancoli which is white clam sauce of course the pasta was perfect and there was enough clams to satisfy me with every bite! But I definitely will come back! Especially for a late night good food

Our favorite restaurant on our honeymoon in Italy the staff was friendly the owner was so nice and the prices were more than reasonable. My only regret was not finding it sooner. The night after we found this place we returned for more. 10 out of 10 l.

This was our last night in Florence and we were staying at a nice hotel near the train station. This restaurant was a block away and couldn't be more convenient for a late night dinner. They're open until 1AM which is clutch. The service was excellent. We had three waiters tend to us and the food came out quickly. The rolled pizza was excellent! So glad we tried it out. We ordered the spinach and ricotta version since we don't eat pork. Great flavors and the bread was very good. You could taste the wood oven cooking with every bite. The lady with white hair was very sweet and super enthusiastic when she brought out our food. I asked for some additional marinara sauce and she happily obliged. The sauce was so flavorful and fresh. I used the excess bread from my rolled pizza to mop it up. The panna cotta (we got the caramel flavor) was absolutely decadent. A perfect way to cap off the meal.

My fiancé knew this place from her study abroad 12 years ago. She said the calzone was huge and seeing the photo of the woman's reaction to it we felt the need to replicate it. You should do the same...let's see your shocked photo!!! Also, the calzone was pretty freaking good and €6 to boot

As we switched our plates back and forth, I kept looking forward to the next bite of this dish. This indicates that quality of this dish alone. Paired with the Pino Grigio, wow... combination hit all the notes. Service was exceptional. While we did come 1.5hours before closing and noticed the tires looked on the staffs, they were such a trooper and carried on as it was their mission. Such dedication to their craft is commendable. Interior is quaintly decorated with rustic charm. White table cloth service elevated this establishment quite well. Paired with great food, service, and charm... this is an exceptional restaurant. Great job team. You guys are amazing!

We had been there 40 minutes before flagging the waiter to order. The good news is once we order the food came out at a reasonable pace. Started with the warm octopus salad that was quite nice with nice chunks of tender octopus and warm potatoes. We also tried the Bistecca Florentine here. The nice thing is they have a smaller minimum serving size of only 700 g which is about 1 1/2 pounds. And it was really really good. It was cooked perfectly and well seasoned lots of nice salt and the taste was among the best states that I've had actually. And for the price of only €5.5 per 100 g it was actually very reasonable we paired with roasted potatoes and grilled vegetables, which were perfect compliments. The additional kicker was hooking on Tripadvisor a reservation. We got a 20% off our bill which made the meal even more affordable. It was our least expensive dinners and we loved it.

The area is pretty safe and fun to walk as it is tourist oriented with multiple shops and plenty to see and do. Great ambiance, we were greeted and sat down at a table immediately when we arrived. The waiter was helpful and provided good service. The food was great! My wife and I enjoyed our plates and even decided to trade half way through meal to experience both dishes. Luci ordered pasta fagioli, I have made pasta fagioli in the past as a good friend of mine had taught me how to make it. This dish was delicious and well seasoned, the consistency was a bit thick but I actually loved it. I ordered a Penne Pasta with shrimp and fresh tomatoes. The pasta was al dente, the shrimp and sauce was delicious with a hint of spiciness which created a great balance of flavor. We ordered a bottle if house table wine to enjoy with our dinner. At first, I was not sure about the wine, once it aired out for 15 mins it was great! We definitely enjoyed our dinner. At the end we were given a complementary shot of limoncello. Delicious as well. Great experience.
