Solid pizza, kind of unique style for the area - good pan pizza though and laid back staff. Their bbq chicken is life-changing. Yes

Last 2 orders got screwed up. This place used to be great but it's gone downhill fast and hard. This will be my last order.

If you're local to the area, the pizza in reference is Augustine's Pizza. It's a small restaurant in a small town with BIG flavor! We ordered a large Pepperoni with extra Cheese and Chubby Bites. The Chubby Bites are a Local Sausage (Joseph's) and deep fried. These were wonderful!!! The batter/breading was phenomenal. The Pizza came out shortly after and didn't disappoint. It came with sliced cheese instead of shredded. We truly loved the sliced cheese over shredded. I was impressed with the classic stringy cheese as we tried to cut it and it stretched from the pan all the way to our plates. The sauce definitely reminded us Augustine's Pizza. The crust was light and crispy with very subtle sweetness. The staff was amazing and very friendly. This was our first time here and the manager made us feel like he had known us a long time. They have a large enough menu that we will definitely be back to try the next items.

He explained the history of the sauce they use and let us try a special sauce he makes (which I highly recommend you buy) to go along with the pepperoni bites. Hilltop has Margie Dogs, unique to the area (although some say "uhh, Stanley Dogs?") and a short menu of local traditional favorites. Today it's about the first Friday of Lent, 2026, and the fish dinners associated with Lent in this area. That plate of deep fried haddock, with mac and cheese, and cole slaw, and the bread and butter was $9.00! Nine freaking bucks! And it came out blistering hot and delicious. I also got a couple Margie Dogs. You can't have Margie Dogs, because you think chili dogs are the best. You have to CRAVE a Margie Dog. And anyone who has ever HAD a Margie Dog, CRAVES Margie Dogs. So suffer. Margie Dogs are so much better than chili dogs, so you don't deserve them. (Hilltop does have kraut and chili dogs as well. And there's catsup on the table for your chili dog...) Anyways, the wife and I got two fish dinners, two Margie dogs, the sides and bread. Oh, and two Black and Tan pints. For $25.00. And I tipped a fin cause, man! Take care of your wait staff mang! I saw an order of garlic knots being taken to another customer and had to go right back to the counter to add some to my takeout. Hubby has now decided that we're bringing some friends here from out of state before we've even tried anything. We got home and immediately got a slice and a knot. The slice was delicious. The crust was tasty, soft on the inside with a nice crunch on the outside. The lemon ricotta was delicious. It felt like it was missing something to kick it up a notch. Maybe roasted red peppers. The knots were definitely garlicky. Wow! The marinara it came with was delicious too. Personally it was a little too much garlic and butter for me but the texture was soft and fluffy. They were spicy from the amount of garlic. I will definitely order again but will try them plain next time. I want to try the meatballs with another pizza next time. Hubby is right; our friends will absolutely love the place. Great food and a laid back atmosphere make this place great for a small get together with friends. One thing that I noticed was the guys that are making the crust are absolutely covered from head to toe in flour. They are for sure working hard on that crust and they do a great job. Can't wait to go back and this is a must go if you're looking for a delicious pie.

The bar is separate from the food and its separate purchases. The restaurant also has a stark contrast between dim moody lighting around the bar to sterile almost garage lighting over the restaurant tables which KILLS the cool vibe of the other side. Once seated, you go up and order what you want. They ask for tip when you purchase your food, and I did not tip. It is the same as fast food. You order yourself, you have to grab your own silverware and napkins, you go to the bar when you're ready to order drinks although sometimes they do come around. I assumed I pay for food and tip for service at the end? I made a mistake by that I guess because the pizza actually took 45mins to an hour to come out. I went up to the bar to order drinks, they were served with no eye contact or words even spoken. Date & I planned to eat the first pizza with some drinks, chill, then order another to nibble and take home. By the time the 1st came out we were STARVING and already had a few drinks on an empty stomach. Even a group of 4 beside us came in, ate, and left before we even could!! We just ate the pizza, tipped $30 for the bar tab/service which wasn't great, and left. If you like your server, which I did, you realize after that you actually tipped bar service and not even your server. It is so confusing. The food is very good and the staff seem nice enough people; however the concept is confusing. You're doing things yourself, but being asked to tip twice. If you don't tip the first time, the food service is obviously aware. Overall, it was not the night out I would have liked. Combined with the weird hours this is not sustainable. Good pizza and alcohol shouldn't be this hard...

The menu is homestyle Italian and everything sounds appealing. I stopped in for the Meatball Stuffed Loaf and it did not disappoint! Massive meatballs, stuffed into a crusty loaf of freshly baked bread. The bread is soft on the inside, but not so much that all the delicious red sauce and rich melty cheese make it soggy. The sauce is somewhat sweet, but not that kind of sweet that lingers and makes you not appreciate the flavors of the tomatoes and seasonings. I really don't even like meatball subs, but something about these lured me in... I'm glad, because they're incredible and you should definitely stop in and have one! *Mangino's is an hour from my house and I made the drive 4 times in 2023, simply for the meatball stuffed loaf and french fries! I'll stop at a few of the waterfalls in the area to make it a day, but I'm making the trip for the loaf. I've purchased extras to bring home to my family and they were enjoyed as much as my fresh one.
