The restaurant is situated inside a building with 3 other restaurants. You'll have to walk through one and up the stairs to get to the pizzeria part. Tried the shrimp pizza which was not great but not bad. It was different and I didn't love it. It was definitely different and flavors were unique. I didn't like that they only had one shrimp per slice of pizza. Pizza was thin crust like a classic Italian pizza but with a little crisp to it, less dough-y than Italian style I really enjoyed my mushrooms risotto, it was really rich and had a generous amount of mushrooms. read more

We arrived with no reservations. However, they were quick to serve us. We ordered a Cesar salad to split and also a pizza to split. Both were very tasty. The salad was fresh and crisp. The pizza we hot and delicious. We shared a bottle of red wine. All reds were Italian red wines. We sat outside and though it was a bit chilly, the server offered to start up one of their outdoor propane heaters. Yes, we had pizza in Lisbon. The hubby did his research and so we ended up at Pizzaria Lisboa. We arrived and it was packed, luckily we were able to be seated. In speaking with the waiter, we realized that Jose Avillez owns this pizza spot. We had just had dinner the night before at Belcanto. This absolutely spiked our interest in the pizza. We shared a pasta for an appetizer and had the spicy salami pizza. Delish! The pizza was so thin and good. Loved the spicy salami on it. So glad we found this place. This was just simply one of the greatest meals I've ever had. If you are in Lisbon it is a must try. The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere and so much to chose from. I'm normally a glass is half full type of person- but epic disappointment seeing as this was supposed to be a Michelin star chef's restaurant. The calzone we got had onions that were not sautéed and overwhelmed the flavor (not in a good way). The pizza was so floppy and soggy that I folded it into a taco halfway through the meal. I would've gotten Mexican if I wanted that We also got the "best selling"pasta. Pizza was thin but delicious. They charge 2.50 euro per person as cover to eat at the restaurant. One pizza would only feed one. Their sangria was not as good as I had expected, too much ice. Ambiance Is romantic, perfect date place. Service was amazing and food arrived in 15 to 20 min. read more

The butter has truffle! We started by ordering the burrata with pesto, then shared the spicy salami pizza and truffle mortadella pizza. It was all so good! The pizza is so thin and yummy. They say you can (and should) judge a pizza place by it's Margherita. Unfortunately, their Margherita is mediocre. What proves successful in the other pizzas we ordered ended up leaving the Margherita bland and lifeless. The crust: Thin and pillow-like. Not sure how it was that thin and still held together. Other worldly in texture, bland in flavor. The sauce: very fresh and used sparingly. The cheese: what cheese? There wasn't much to mention. The basil: two leaves for the whole pie: really? The other pizzas were great as the topping were full of flavor making up for the bland crust and lack of sauce/cheese. The starters (Mozzarella di bufala and the Roasted aubergine) were great. Warning: Bread service cot 2.5 euro's per person. At least they asked us if we wanted rather than presenting as if it's included (like other Lisbon restaurants seem to do) Despite the mediocre Marherita, we still really enjoyed the quality of the food here. read more

Maybe we chose the wrong food, the calzone was quite good at the beginning until I got to the middle when the almost raw egg came swimming out, even the egg white was still fluid. My wife had a simple salad for 10€. It was a very small portion and also the egg was almost raw. She left hungry. The location is nice though and the waiters are friendly but a bit clueless. Even though the restaurant was not very busy no one seemed to care whether we were happy or not. Neither me nor my wife would go there again. So if you like raw egg and don't mind paying a bit too much for simple food in small portion its perfect. read more

Honestly this was such a disappointment. By far the worst meal we had on our trip to Portugal. The crust was flavorless, not enough sauce, not enough cheese, the toppings were devoid of flavor. A small pizzeria, actually Italian restaurant as you can also get seemly delicious pasta, risotto and salads. A good thing here was that the waitress asked if we needed the bread/butter; this was the first time during our stay in Lisbon. Nice detail! Regarding the pizzas - there's a lot of variety; the bottoms are thin. The place itself is ok. Delicious! Get the chiado pizza and you will not be disappointed. We tried many of the JA restaurants and enjoyed each and every one. And, we are picky! We started at Belcanto and had a terrific experience - we should with it's 2 michellin star rating! Decided to see what the other restaurants with the same chef owner were like and wish we ended up hitting 4 out of his 5. Pizza Lisboa is family friendly - not the place to go for a romantic evening - but it was perfect to bring our 2 year old and enjoy some great food together.
