While visiting Portugal for a week, my husband and I dined here twice. Once for lunch and the other for dinner. The host was gracious, our waiter was very busy but kind, and the cocktails and food were outstanding and reasonably priced. We had espresso martinis, local beer, local wine, fried calamari, grilled octopus, pizza, grilled shrimp over risotto, and lemon/raspberry tart for dessert. My friend and I stumbled across Zero Zero one lunchtime when I Lisbon and decided it was going to be worth our attention. The beautiful garden with bougainvilleas would be the ideal place to sit and eat together if the weather was better, so we decided to sit inside. The service was excellent and went well with the setting. As an Italian restaurant, we went with the classic pizzas for main course, but not before we tucked into Frittura di Calamari with courgette, eggplant, carrots and broccoli as well as Burrata con Prosciutto crudo di Parma 18 mesi and basil oil for starters. They were the perfect pairing and I don't mind admitting we had a bit of both each! The pizza options were plentiful, and it took a little while to decide what we wanted. All sounded so good. We could see others having their pizzas brought out and they were exactly what you would expect in Italy! I ate the Diavola which has a spicy Calabrian ventricina and was divine. My friend opted for the Prosciutto crudo di Parma e Bufala Campana DOP and she loved every mouthful. There is nothing more to be said about a meal! We even had room left for dessert, as we sat in the garden feeling at one with the world. We went for the Tiramisù and the Millefoglie al Caramello salato and shared these as well. This place is amazing ! I've been here on numerous accounts and my tummy and I are in heaven by the time I leave. Zero zero is the reason they created the word foodporn !!!! The pizza is amazing and I would suggest to go there for the pizza and not their other foods. I had the pasta there once and it was very good as well, however seeming the delicious pizza's around you, will make your mouth run ! Zero zero does not take food reservations unfortunately, so when you get in you have to give your name and how many people you will be. When they'll have a table ready they'll call you and that's it. The wait can be long, we once waited over 45 minuets, which shows how many people were there and so many still to be seated even after us. While you wait you can order some delicious drinks by the bar and get a plate of cheese and meats. There is not one bad thing to be said about this place. I had previously visited this location for pizza and enjoyed it. My sister was also a regular customer. However today I visited this location and had a very unpleasant experience. The manager would not seat us until the whole party was present and the restaurant was empty. We asked for an additional table for 3 small children and they were unwilling to provide it because they don't count children. The children were going to eat as well. Ridiculous if you ask me. The manager was rude and because we forcefully asked to be seated the treatment was poor at best the entire evening. We did not get up and leave because we had small children who were tired and hungry but I would not give them any more business. read more

This place was UNFORTUNATELY our worst experience when visiting Lizbon. We are avid foodies and had visited quite a few places in Lisbon, Sintra, and Cascais. We were seated outside almost right away although the place was packed but due to the windy weather I assumed most of the guests preferred inside seating. Our server was prompt and we ordered beer and two glasses of wine for our pizza and pasta. Server asked if we want to have beer and wine at the same time only to hear our agreement.Our beer arrived almost immediately along with two EMPTY wine glasses. After couple minutes the food arrived but still no wine to enjoy it with. We patiently waited, and waited, and waited....... I even asked two other waitresses about the wine only to hear they are checking it out. We started to eat slowly still hoping for wine to no avail!! All the great feelings about this place and beautiful seating outside bursted right there like a balloon:( And then after all that wait and our food becoming completely cold the server arrived with bottle of wine ready to pour.. We told him that we do not need it anymore and that we should not be obligated to pay for the food that was not given to us in the right order. The beer of course and maybe a portion for the food we ate but that was almost the whole thing we had left. Our server went to the boss and we were advised that since the food entered our table we still need to pay for it minus the beer we drank (it was just one Peroni by the way) and were asked to take the rest of food with us if we wanted to. This is completely not right with my standards, with any restaurant that keeps a good name I should say. This is not about money, this is about customer satisfaction. The food could be great and I am sure it would have been and I am not blaming our server who was a very nice person, the manager should be blamed here for solving this situation like that!! Looks like nothing from the outside but you step into a large room with high ceilings where you watch them make the pizzas in the oven. A great option for the picky eaters! It is thin crust pizza (which seems to be a popular style in Europe). I ordered a pie with mozzarella, ham, and mushrooms - simple yet savory. Pairs nicely with all of the available wines and beers offered at the Time Out Market in Lisbon. Pizza was cooked perfectly and in a timely fashion. I watched them prepare the food as well, and they were very organized and clean! Definitely a bit pricey however the ingredients were quality and they did not skimp out on toppings. Starter was okay...nothing special and not much to share the plate. Main dish was a Pizza and a Pasta al Ragu. Pizza was really good from the crust and topping side. Pasta was almost not edible. The ragu was good from the consistency but something happend with the salt. It was WAY over salty. But i was hungry... so i ate it. After that i got dizzy and heartburn because of the salt. Another proof for better not ordering Pasta at a Pizza place. Luckily the portion size was also mediocre. So all in all this Restaurant wants to be more special than it acualy is. Excellent Pizzeria, lively and cool space. It was a little chilly at night so no one was in the terrace at the back but it looked beautiful. There was a little wait but we ordered drinks at the bar, I got the Passione, which contains passion fruit. Very tasty. We didn't have to wait too long for a table. Although a Pizzeria, they have many other Italian items. My cousin went with the Prosciutto Pizza and I went with the Rigatoni Ragu. Both were excellent. Loved my Ragu sauce...tried to discretely slurp as much of it as possible. Staff was excellent from the Bartender to the Hostess to the Wait staff. We didn't get to go back again while in Lisbon since there were so many places we needed to try but I wouldn't hesitate to go back to Zero Zero. read more
