    Margarita pizza with prosciutto
    Tami S.

We put our name on the waiting list online and were able to walk right in. Amazing pizza just like in Italy. The house red was very good. The spinach ravioli in red sauce was wonderful as an appetizer. Would come back to try other pizzas and pasta.

Great spot found! After getting into Lisbon late and looking for something tasty, Valdo Gatti did not disappoint. Tried a Margherita pizza and standard bolognese on the pasta. I recommend doing a pizza and a pasta even if you can't eat it all because both were excellent and you can't go wrong. The space is small but cozy and not too loud. Service was quick and friendly. The food was very good and I would absolutely go back and recommend trying them.

Best pizza we had in Portugal! This is another hidden gem. They had great service and accommodated us without reservations. It's right off one of the main streets in Lisbon. The pizza itself was excellent and light on the stomach. Despite eating an entire pie it did not feel heavy at all. The crust was amazing and not too chewy. I wish I found this place earlier since it's a cute date spot or a place to hang with friends. Had great air flow coming in and out the restaurant. Highly recommend to anyone visiting!

Best pizza in Lisbon - would love to come back and try their other menu items because everything looked delicious! Sat and relaxed after a long day of traveling and the staff was extremely kind and attentive as well

This place has excellent pizzas, pastas and various starters like carpaccio that are absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. There can be a bit of a wait, but it's worth it. Food came out fast and fresh and we enjoyed every bite. The ambience is relaxed and the service is good, although they could be a bit more attentive. Overall, a great place to have dinner while in Lisbon.

Great pizza right off the main street in Lisbon. We went because we saw they had a brick oven and we love that thin, light crispy crust. The mortadella pizza was incredible. The dough is made from organic sourdough. We also loved the arugula salad- light and healthy. We tried their white and red table wine- we loved both. Save room for dessert. The tiramisu and poached pears are sooo good. Service was fast and friendly. Beautiful older building with an open kitchen.

Here's the thing: did the pizza leave a strong impression on me when eating it? No. But, do I find myself randomly thinking about this pizza? Yes. Valdo Gatti is this sleek and modern space complete with roaring wood fire stove in the back. They pride themselves on fresh and authentic ingredients and you can really taste it. I ordered a Pizza Baccalà Affumicato, which was topped with cod, a vegetal green sauce, mozzerella and capers and truly enjoyed it. It was fresh, herby and pleasantly salty. The crust was structurally sound but not too hard. A fork and knife may be needed but well worth the sacrifice. Topped by its excellent service, Valdo Gatti is a place I recommend if you are looking for something a bit familiar in your travels!

Great pizza when you've had enough grilled sardines in Lisbon. In the back steets but well worth the hike

Pizza with lasagna. The lasagna was one step up from chef boyadee. Basic.

Truthfully, it's much much better than the popular Lupita pizzaria in Lisbon. I tried both. This pizza was very good. The only issue is that the bottom of the pizza crust is paper thin and leads to a very soggy pizza. If they fixed this, the pizza would be a 10/10. The toppings are fresh and the sauce taste great. Service was great and it was a nice clean restaurant

We visited this restaurant with our 7-year-old daughter on our second night in Lisbon. Despite being busy, we were seated quickly. The festive vibe was a plus! Our kids-friendly orders included two pizzas (cheese and pepperoni) and gnocchi and bolognese pasta dishes, a meatball appetizer, and salad. While the meaty pizza had plenty of toppings, the thick crust was a bit too much for us. The pasta, meatballs, and salad were all pretty solid choices.

Mushroom pizza with Truffle Oil and Caramelized Onions!

The best pizza I have ever had. The mushroom pizza with truffle oil was superb; crust was thin and gets a bit soggy in the middle yet the outer crust was perfectly wood fired and puffy. The eggplant pizza was also excellent. A small indoor restaurant off a tiny street, the menu was vegan friendly with organic ingredients.

What acquainted little spot to have some of the best pizza around. Their selection of vegan options is amazing. The house wine is delicious. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating and service is amazing.

We were told that pink street, Rua Nova do Carvalho, had great nightlife, but we didn't realize that nightlife started after 12am. When we were looking for a place to go after Farmacia we decided we wanted food near the nightlife so Google helped me find this place, and this was easily one of the best places we went. We ordered: Diavola Pizza (basically pepperoni pizza) Margherita pizza Plain pizza Geisha Pizza (ordered twice!) Nutella Pizza Rosé -takes CC, Wifi, Speaks English well, Good service The windows showed us how busy Pink street got after 12 am, it was actually crazy! When we originally got there, it was empty but we noticed a lot of bars so we were a bit confused, it was 10:45pm or 11pm? and not more than 5 people to be seen. When we left dinner around 12:15am Pink street was so crowded that we couldn't even get through! This place is great for vegetarians (duh its pizza), and for picky eaters like myself. Its also a great place to eat and pre-game/pre-drink at before a long night of partying - which Lisbon takes very seriously!

Actually, in that same menu, a second thing that also seemed fairly unusual for bars in Lisbon, oddly: a bar that was doing something with ginja other than just serving it neat or in a chocolate shotglass (namely, a ginja spritz, also one of the drinks that's very cheap during happy hour, from 3-7 PM.) Obviously I tried one while I was here, and obviously, it was great. Was especially great for 5.5 euros. Ginja spritzes are bomb. Then I had an 8 euro happy hour "of the day", which that particular day, was a strawberry mojito - not as unique, but also, a great strawberry mojito. Finally, I did try one cocktail off their regular cocktail menu - I'm a huge sucker for Negroni variants, and this was one of the more fun takes I've seen, the Madeironi, of Campari, and both Madeira wine and an agricole rum, also from Madeira. I'd played with sherry at home a few times in Negronis, but hadn't ever tried Madeira - was truly exceptional. They even had the correct large cocktail ice cubes for it. Great service, too (admittedly, it was also basically empty, that presumably being why they had a happy hour, but I've been to empty bars that didn't have as good service, plenty of times.) This is a place I'd definitely come back to if I were back in Lisbon, both to try a couple more of their more locally-focused menu cocktails, and to drink several super-cheap spritzes. And probably try the pizza, too.)

Our ice request brought two big cubes in a separate glass, put in our glass with ice tongs. The ice was so cold it momentarily stuck to the tongs. Our shared Greek salad arrived as soon as our server went back into the kitchen looking wonderful and laden with very tasty firm feta. We had vinegar and oil on our table so we got to dress it ourselves, always our choice. It was plentiful and excellent. As we requested our margherita pizza came a minute after our salad was cleared, so our small table had plenty of room for our water, beer and food.
