North of Brooklyn Pizzeria - Killer bee and pepperoni

Grabbed a pizza to go…read more Ordered a half pepperoni and half killer bee. They don't let you do half on all pizzas but the first 5 or 6 on the menu. The pizza was great. Nice crust with a good chew. Good amount of toppings. Really solid New York style pizza. Dave Portnoys pizza review went to their downtown location and gave it a 8.4 if you follow him. There was no parking on Avenue but I found some parking on the residential street just North of the restaurant. The inside is really nice with comfy seating. Not a ton of seating but I think they get a lot of takeout. Service was good but I did have to wait more than the 20 mins they said as they seemed to be dealing with online orders.

Tried North of Brooklyn Pizzeria and it did NOT disappoint…read more I got the Caesar salad and a half Margherita / Killer Bee pizza, and everything was amazing. The Caesar salad was SO crunchy and fresh--like every bite had that perfect crisp, and the dressing was light but still super flavorful. You can tell the ingredients are really high quality. The pizza was just as good. The Margherita was classic and perfectly balanced, and the Killer Bee side had such a rich, unique flavor that made it stand out. And the crust? Light, slightly crispy, and just done right. Honestly such a solid spot--I'll definitely be back

This is such a cute spot! We tried the Greek deep dish pizza and it was really good. The individual…read moresize was actually pretty heavy, so if you're getting appetizers on the side it's definitely enough. They also had a deal for wings (13 for $13) which was honestly great. We got honey garlic and buffalo. The buffalo was pretty tangy and a bit spicy (not really my favourite), but the honey garlic was nice. The pizza tasted fresh and you can tell they use good ingredients. We added the dragon sauce on top and it was such a nice touch. The interior is really cute too, and the service was super polite. They had Christmas decorations everywhere which made the place feel extra cozy, plus a bunch of board games you can play. Such a nice, homey vibe. It wasn't very busy when we went, more laid back and chill, which was actually really nice. Overall, it's a cute local spot and I'd definitely recommend it if you're in the area!

I did take out. We had the deep dish pizza and chicken wings, and both were great. The pizza had a nice crust with lots of toppings, and the wings were crispy and flavorful. The staff were friendly and the place just has a good energy to it. It's the kind of spot where you can grab a bite, watch some sports, or just relax with friends.

Friends I know have been raving about this place and I figured I was in the neighbourhood so why…read morenot? It's a small little pizza joint. There were some seating outside but it was only the one table for two people. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The only downfall was that they ran out of meat sauce so the lasagna was out of the question but they made up for it in the pizza flavours. The menu is pretty straightforward; they offer multiple types of pizza ranging from classic meat lovers to unique ones like smoked salmon or tandoori chicken. I ended up ordering the four cheese because I was in a cheesy mood. The pizza was amazing. The crust had a nice puff up but was not so crunch that it would cut the roof of your mouth. The sauce-to-dough ratio was perfect, and neither ingredient overpowered the other. The cheeses they used (Ricotta, Feta, Bocconcini and cream cheese) didn't clash with each other, and it just seemed to be a slice of cheesy goodness with every bite. The pizza was not greasy, so no mountain of napkins was needed. A must-try if your into pizza and like my nannu says in Sicilian "Veni e pigghiati 'u divertimentu" (Come and enjoy it already).

We probably made a mistake when ordering 2 large half and half pizzas as this turned out to be a very pricey pizza dinner (over $80!!) but that's not the restaurant's fault. We'll just be more mindful next time. The pizzas were good and I loved the freshness of the toppings. Unfortunately, I did not love their crust as it was too chewy for my liking. The chicken wings we got was pretty heavily breaded which is also not my favorite way to eat them. We may come back to try their more adventurous offerings.

All of the flavours with the chicken go so well together, it's such a fun and tasty, thick crusted pizza. Definitely my favourite here! The space itself is fairly small with a few 2 seater tables, a large bench which is shared by several guest and a bar table space. The service was super friendly but it did take a bit of time for the food to come out. It is quite a popular place so you could see a lot of people were ordering take out. In terms of the pizza, the dough was fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. We got the Electric Avenue and Truff Guy which were both tasty but to be honest, I wasn't blown away. Maybe my expectation was set a bit high from previous raving reviews. Toppings tasted good but nothing spectacular. It's also a bit on the pricier side considering the size of the pizza. I totally get why it's a Toronto favourite, but I can't say it's my favourite pizza place.

Came by a few times to check if we were ready and were patient with us when we needed more time. Duck confit pizza was unavailable when we tried to order it so we got the sausage one instead. I didn't really like the pizza - tastes burnt even though it's not, and was too salty for my taste. The kale salad was delicious - the toasted almonds were a great touch and perfectly seasoned - not too saucy or dry. The gnocchi was average. Soft not chewy texture. The sauce didn't stand out. The mocktail was probably my favourite thing, it had little strawberry seeds in it and was very refreshing on a hot day. It was $9 though for a small glass. Wish they had a patio because it was so nice and warm out, would have enjoyed dining in more lighting instead of in dimmer restaurant when sun was still shining.
