Quite possibly the pizza in Miami - they have a Hawaiian pizza with two types of pineapple! My absolute favorite. Great value, a single slice ca be enough for one person. And don't sleep on their wings, especially the honey garlic which is the perfect blend of sweet and savory. So happy to hear that although their home base Gramps will be permanently shuttered, Pizza Tropical will live on in a new location soon!

This is a local spot inside an otherwise bustling touristic area. It's large with plenty of seating. The pizza was decent, I'm from Connecticut so I'm not easily impressed by pizza. but the garlic knots!!! Sooo good. My husband is usually the garlic knot lover. I take it or leave it, but these were sooo moist & full of garlic flavor. The bread was not dried out but it had a bounce to it. It has a nice crunch on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I love the touch of fresh parm on the top. I'll be back

Pizza Tropical is a small pizza joint hidden in a dive bar called Gramps. I discovered this place thanks to Cycle Party Miami and I decided to buy a slice of pizza because each slice costed less than $5 (with the exception of El Vegano). [Parking]: It will not be easy to find street parking spots in this busy part of the neighborhood called Wynwood, but if you do end up finding a spot then you'll have to pay via PayByPhone app. Otherwise nearby overpriced parking garages are always available. [Menu]: 8 different pizza options from El Queso (mozzarella), El Peppe (pepperoni), Abuelita's (cheese slice with thicker crust - square), La Blanca (tres quesos), La Hawaiiana (pineapple and pepperoni), El Mushroomo (mushroom), El Vegano (no meat), and La Salchicha (sausage). Other options include wings, canned soda, Jarritos, and Liquid Death. *** La Blanca (tres quesos, caramelized onions, sesame seeds - $4.75): One of my coworkers shared the same name & it was also one of Yelp highlights so I just had to order it. Sesame crust was nice with a-ok cheese, but the slice was surprisingly huge. *** Nothing to write home about, but absolutely great value for what I paid for. Just a perfect spot for affordable late night drunk food.

Ok so I went to this spot cause I'm from New York and a lot of comparisons to nyc pizza are being tossed around here. We don't really have a Hawaiian situation in nyc But the plain cheese was it. The cheese to sauce to crust ratio was perfect and thin. CRISPY!!! I will be back and I will bring others!! Also the guys there are all nice! Big smiles.

What a great place! you can listen to live music, grab some drinks, and order a pizza all at the same time! We decided to grab some pizza from here one evening and we are so glad we did! Luckily there wasn't a line and we were able to place our order very quickly. We decided to get a half pepperoni and half mushroom pizza. Then we went over to the bar and grab some drinks. While we were waiting a rock band started to play so we were entertained while we waited. The live music was really good! Before we knew it we got a text saying that our pizza was ready. It was excellent! I always forget how great it is to have pizza at a restaurant instead of getting it delivered at home. The crust was the perfect amount of chewiness and crispiness that I want in a pizza. The toppings were plentiful and they put huge leaves of basil on top. I could easily eat half of this pie but I held back lol. Definitely check it out next time you're in Wynwood!

Pizza Tropical is a hidden gem of Wynwood! We felt like having pizza while strolling around the neighborhood and checked out the infatuation for suggestions - they say this is one of the best pizzas in the whole city. Pizza Tropical is a little hard to find; there is only a small sign at the entrance to the courtyard. They offer a limited variety of pizzas and snacks such as chicken wings. We got a slice of cheese and pepperoni pizza and some garlic knot. I'm not joking when I say that was some of the best pizza I've had in the US - the most perfect New York slice. The garlic knots were unique in that they were served dipped in olive oil and topped with shredded garlic. The overall ambiance is very relaxing; there is a stage for a band and a bar associated with the location. They are very COVID-safe, and all staff is wearing masks and is offering orders via ToastTab.

There's really not much to say about this spot but that it's outside in the patio area of Gramps. They really do have the best NY style pizza in Miami. You can buy by the slice of a whole pizza. For happy hour 4-7pm they have a beer, shot & slice for only $10! Great place to listen to awesome DJjs and get your grub on.

Is there a greater moment than bitting into a slice at Pizza Tropical? No. Was this my first stop out of quarantine, YES. I love Pizza Tropical, its simple, to the point, great pizza no fuss. There is nothing bad about it and now the pizza and beer special, paradise

I find myself craving this pizza even when I'm sober and not downing a million Tecate & Tequilas. You could never go wrong with a classic slice of pepperoni, it kind of reminds me of the pizza in NY. Perfect for folding, perfect amount of grease, but the crust is sturdy and chewy enough to sop it all up. The sauce of the tomato is super flavorful and balances great with the hearty pepperoni. Another favorite of mine is the Abuelita slice, which is like a Detroit style pizza, thicker crust, the bread has a buttery flavor to it. Sometimes I get this if I'm really in the mood to get carby with it. The prices are unbeatable for the quality of pizza they serve here. And Gramps is such a bad ass bar that waiting for the pizza feels like nothing.

Ask the Community - Pizza Tropical

Can I buy just by the slice or do I have to buy a whole pie?

You can definitely purchase slices. Matter of fact, they have a stellar deal during the week for lunch, 2 slices and a drink for $6. Phenomenal for Wynwood. Real good pizza. Not Euro. It's NY Style and foldable.

What time does the music start on Friday?

We usually have playlists running and occasionally Djs for special events!

It was definitely worth the ride fare from the beach. The food was very reasonably priced. I ordered conch (first time try) and onion rings and wings (Obama and lemon pepper). Even after the 20 min drive, the food was tasty! While there, the owner came in and shared his road to success. Before he told me, I told him how well ran the place was and how glad we decided to try it out. Everything was cooked just right and there was a lot to wings sauces to pick from. The staff were helpful offering suggestions based on popularity. Then there was this Oreo cookie cake.... Omg. For the record, I am a ketchup only with fries, cake or cookie, type of girl. But something in my spirit said, eat the cake Annie Mae, and Annie Mae did and was happy I did! It was moist, the right consistency of cake and cookie crumbs and was so good.... When you go, try it. Stop and get you some vanilla ice cream to go with it. You won't be disappointed. Kudos to the team at House of Wings. I can't wait to go again!

It's always a bit of a hit or miss when ordering through delivery apps if your food arrives hot and fresh by the time you get it. This could be due to a variety of factors including the food sitting for awhile at the restaurant before pickup, traffic for the driver, or simply the fact that some food just do not transport very well while still maintaining their freshness. Thankfully however, my order of wings arrived still piping hot, with the waffle fries only slightly on the soggy side due to being locked away inside a container. To Wings & Things credit, they were very good about including a lot of napkins, knowing how messy eating wings can get. They also included plenty of ketchup for the fries, as well as a side of ranch for my wings. So I definitely appreciate them not skimping on the condiments like some establishments do. I ordered the 10pc Lemon Pepper Spice Jumbo Wings w/ a side of seasoned waffle fries. LOVED the flavor of the wings, and they were all seasoned and marinated well. Each wing was pretty meaty and juicy, and I honestly would not have minded eating just that for multiple meals during my Miami stay. The complimentary celery sticks were not the freshest, but still had enough crunch left in them to be an enjoyable compliment.

It features a short lineup of vendors serving everything from dim sum, ramen, classic and specialty sushi, boba to Korean pancakes and shareable plates, all in a relaxed space with both indoor and outdoor seating, plus a sake bar tucked along the back. We got there for late lunch and were in the mood to sample a little of everything, so we ordered from Gold Marquess, Yip, B-Side, and 88 Unnie. Everything came out quickly, and every dish was flavorful. The seafood scallion pancake was a pleasant surprise. Crispy, savory, and definitely worth trying, just be sure to eat it while it's hot because it loses its magic once it cools down. The salt and pepper shrimp had great flavor, though I would've loved a few more shrimp and jalapeños with fewer scallions. The crispy Spam Musubi had a perfect balance of sweet and savory and disappeared from the table faster than them all. I was a personal fan of the Chili chow fun with that umami flavor and egg noodles. This is one of those places where everyone can order what they're craving and share a little of everything. That's usually the best way to tackle a food hall anyway.
