The pancetta, caramelized onions, and that hint of paprika gave it this slightly spicy, smoky finish that was just WOW... like, actually "you have to try this" good. Tasty fresh pizza! Chicken sandwich was made with pizza dough so it was light and crunchy and very fresh! Definitely a great quick option in midtown! Oh and they were dog friendly accommodating our dog with an unseasoned chicken breast and water! Slightly pricey though for a small pie and sandwich, 2 drinks and a side of chicken $78 including tip. They have a nice outdoor area and large inside if that's what you prefer. Bathrooms were clean and the staff are very friendly. We did have to call for our waitress for the check and boxes though so check in could have happened a little more frequently as the place was fairly empty and only about 4 table tops total. read more

I came in to eat by myself and ordered quite a bit of food -- a pizza, soup, a drink, and dessert. Later, some friends were going to join me to share the pizza, and they were also planning to order and pay for food. However, they were not allowed to sit with me because they had a bag from another restaurant. I understand that businesses have policies, and I politely asked if they could make an exception since I had already ordered a full meal and we intended to share the pizza and continue ordering. The waitress directed me to speak with the manager, but unfortunately, the interaction with him was very disappointing. He was difficult to talk to, inflexible, and unwilling to consider any reasonable exception, even after I explained the situation calmly. Overall, this was one of the worst service experiences I've had at a pizza place in Miami. There are better ways to handle situations like this with professionalism and customer care. Sadly, the manager's attitude made what could have been a pleasant meal turn into a frustrating experience. read more

My friend and I couldn't understand why Spris received so many three-star ratings. The reviews seemed to be mainly on the food rather than the pizza. But an artisan pizzeria couldn't possibly earn a three-star rating, right? That's what we believed until we ate here. Everything was average. This includes the services. We arrived about 8:30 p.m. and were told that we couldn't sit at the table we wanted because they were closing soon. Although it was specified online that they did not close until 10:30 pm. We started with the bruschetta originale, then moved on to the gnocchi with pesto, as well as the ortolana and alba pizzas. Everything came out quickly. We would have preferred that the pizza been cooked a little longer because it was still slightly doughy. The food tasted fresh, but none of these items stood out. This was also the case with the glass of Merlot I ordered. Instead, we found ourselves adding salt and garlic olive oil to spice things up. Overall, the restaurant was clean. So budget in $5-$30,000.00 in parking for the day or evening. Service was great. Everyone was pleasant even though someone in our party challenged a menu item with the server. Oh boy. I hadn't been here in a while. Since I decided to eat somewhere in the neighborhood, I opted for Italian. It's a cute establishment with additional outdoor seating which is usually my vibe. Sunday sipping and people watching. I started with a spritz which you can't go wrong with. I love bubbles. For the appetizer, fried calamari, shrimp, and veggies. This was probably my fav of everything we ordered. The lasagna wasn't firm and was bland. As was the margarita pizza. But the crust was really good! Antonio our server was friendly. Could have been a bit more attentive tho. We had to track him down a couple times but it did get a little busy outside fast. In all, we enjoyed ourselves. So I decided to come back and give this place another try. I should have listened to my first review and not come back. Did the same order so my review can easily be compared. Bruscetta could have used a little pepper and the bread could have been toasted and cut. Cesar salad was ok, the dressing could have been good if I had more of it. I asked for more but never received it. The pizza, the dough is thin and almost reminded me of a pita consistency, the sauce well I can't really tell because there was very little on it. The cheese was greasy and lacked flavor. I ordered the margarita pizza which did not look like the picture or the way it was described this was more like an American pie. The service was slooooooow just like last time, maybe it's the Italian and if it is good for them, being a new Yorker this speed killed me. Had to flag the waitress down for napkins and then again for a refill. The only thing I did differently this time was have dessert, honestly I did not have high expectations but needed something sweet. I had the tiramussu and it was very good. Many places to eat in the area so next time I am back I will.make sure to try someplace different. read more

It was a group of 4 of us looking for dinner options so I figured Italian was a good match and i googled some spots in the South Miami area. This one had good reviews and an extensive menu (which is thoroughly appreciated). For an appetizer, we started out with calamari. After, we realized they have a daily deal of $8 select pizzas between 5:30-8 pm so we took advantage and I ordered the Margherita pizza. Someone in my party ordered the lasagna and WOW, I wish i had ordered that. Let me preface this now by saying all the food/drinks we had here tasted so uniquely FRESH and not too oily/heavy. The portions were great, the pizza was thin (how i like it). For dessert, we got the Torta di Mandorle--HIGHLIGHT OF MY EXPERIENCE and the special dessert of the day was a strawberry gelatin like with whip cream. The "homey" feel of this establishment is one you can't just get anywhere and the service here was spectacular. Very friendly staff, quick turnaround for food and RICH foods. Oh and by the way, the sangria here is immaculate. If you like Prosecco, get the drink with strawberry puree! I stopped by Spris for a quick dinner a couple of weeks ago with my best friend. We started with a Sangria Pitcher which was so refreshing! we were craving Focaccia and realized they have an Olive Focaccia! However, to our surprise, this Focaccia was more like a pizza dough with olives and tomatoes on top. Usually, Focaccia is thicker than a pizza so it was a little disappointing when we saw our Olive Focaccia order. Now, it was good because it had exactly the same dough as the pizza but it wasn't a Focaccia. So we also ordered one of the Specialty Pizzas which was the Tartufo E Porcini. And that one was delicious! With tomato sauce, mozzarella, truffle oil, stracciatella cheese, mushrooms y arugula, such a refreshing blend. I've been here a couple times and the food has been really good. I was lucky to catch their promotion of $8 pizzas from 5:30 to 7:30pm. We ordered the pepperoni and margherita and they were delicious. The ambiance is really nice and my favorite is to seat outside and enjoy the nice weather. Tables are covered so even if it rains you can still seat outside. The service was good, we got everything we ordered in a timely manner. I've also enjoyed their spinach salad. Even though this place is located in the middle of the shops at Midtown it does have an European look and feel. This is a really good option to rest from a day of shopping if you want to avoid any of the fast food options around the area. Parking can be tough depending on the time and day but if you are already there to run errands or shop this is the place to go! read more

After a nice walk around midtown my friends and I decided to dine here after smelling the Italian restaurant scent from outside the restaurant. We were instantly drawn to eating there. We were greeted nicely and were quickly seated. You have the option to eat outside or inside and we chose to eat outside. Our waiter quickly serviced us with our drinks and took our order. Spris has a few locations in Miami, with this location being in the Shops at Midtown. We've been to the location on Lincoln Road and remember having a good experience so we wanted to try this location when meeting some friends in Midtown for dinner. We dined inside and were greeted by our server (don't remember his name) but was very friendly. I think either a language barrier or either maybe he was new at the job made him seem a little disconnected at times. My friends and I both ordered a Caesar salad to start ($8) and was plenty big for 2 people to share. The salad was very fresh and flavorful. My partner and I both ordered the Bolognese pizza ($15), and has about 6 slices on each pizza and is plenty big for a dinner entree. The pizza was delicious, very light, and very fresh.
