I have been here twice in one week and absolutely love Corridor. My husband and I came here on…read moreValentine's Day for their second Saturday chef dinner and it was divine. Sadly, the only photo I snapped during our visit was of the menu because I didn't want to be on my phone + it was communal seating, so we were busy make friends and eating delicious food. We loved one of the bottles of wine that was paired with one of our courses, so we put in an order for one. I got called that it was already ready for pickup a few days later, hence the second visit so soon (turned my wine pickup errand into a lunch stop with my work besties). The second Saturday dinner was an absolute blast. From 6:30-7 they had 3 of the most incredible appetizers and glasses of champagne during a little social (half) hour. Then we all transitioned to the main dining area to start the rest of the paired courses from 7-10. They have limited two top tables along the hallway going into the main dining area, so everyone else was paired with another couple or groups of people, depending on if you sat at a table along the back wall or one of the big dining tables. We sat with another couple along the back wall and it was really fun getting to know them over the several hours everyone was having dinner and wine together. My husband and I are usually very introverted, but a few glasses of wine definitely makes me feel more brave lol. Each course was equally delicious, but the ricotta-stuffed beet tortellini was my personal favorite. The staff told us a little bit about each course after everyone had been served and they let us know the chef handmade all of the pasta and intentionally had a heart-shaped indentation on them when they were folded together for Valentine's Day. Each dish was so creative and paired perfectly with each wine that the sommelier poured for us. Overall, such a fun experience and an interesting way to spend Valentine's Day. When it was time to go back in and pick up our bottle of wine I asked a couple of work friends if they wanted to go with me to have lunch there. We also sat at a table on the back wall so my pregnant friend could be more comfortable (booth type seating on the back wall and then chairs on the other side). My other friend and I each got a Prosecco split, which was delicious. I also got a cappuccino because I can't pass up a coffee from anywhere, it would seem. I got us the marinated olives to all try and they were really good, with a fruity kick from the citrus peels added in. All three of us got the tuna melt and salad and it was really good and warming for the chilly day. All three of us felt that the tuna was masked by the cheese and peppers/onions. It is definitely a good sandwich for people who don't like overpowering fish flavor, but we all like tuna and wished we could have tasted it a little more. I can't wait to come back and try some more pasta dishes.

Walking past the kitchen it looked full of professional chefs making absolute art and putting care into every single dish as unique. This is small plate dining so be sure to order multiples or (ideally) share dishes with your table. Order at the counter and they bring it to your table! The spaghettini was beautifully braided and so flavorful with sweet potatoes inside of the ravioli. The tagliatelle was the most filling dish with tons of depth and bison bolognese.. all of their breads are a perfect pairing for their dish and you just cannot pass up these fresh homemade pastas. You can also buy dried pastas at the counter on your way out after your mind is blown. Indianapolis NEEDED an Italian joint like this. 5 STARS PLEASE NEVER LEAVE! I will be back!!!

They carry all my favorites including the best selection of B-Happy Peanut Butter I've seen anywhere. Best Chocolate in Town, Tinker Coffee, Dillman Farms, Just Pop In, Broad Ripple Chips and many others are represented here! The ready-made refrigerated and frozen items look wonderful as well; I need to return to try some of those! The sandwiches also looked very tempting, and I definitely need to make a point of returning to try some of those. The cheese and charcuterie selection in the deli case looked great as well! About 15 years ago when Food Network introduced us to Ina Garten, Giada De Laurentiis, Paula Deen and Rachel Ray, my little TiVo recorded hours and hours of food being prepared, most of it purchased at specialty stores. I can't tell you how many times I heard "just run down to your specialty grocery and pick up.." - and we had nothing like this. Was Meijer, Marsh or Wal-Mart considered a specialty grocery store, and why didn't they carry anything they were talking about on TV? Finally, our world-class city starting to get with the program. More and more people cared about where the food they were consuming came from, demanding more and more local ingredients and some of these "specialty" items. Some really smart people decided they would be the ones to begin this transformation, and we started seeing specialty stores popping up. Kind of. Let's face it.. Goose The Market was really the pioneer here, but this is a review about R2GO and not Goose, so let's just fast forward about 6 years to mid-December, 2014. Because I really think "bodega" sounds a heck of a lot cooler than "specialty grocery store" and I did see spanish-type items on the shelves, I'm going to refer to R2GO as a cute little bodega. Opening just before Christmas, the shelves have a heavy influence on local. The fridge and freezers are stocked with freshly prepared entrees and sides that you can whip up in a breeze. I saw a great selection of refrigerated and frozen soups, including chicken stock that were prepared in house as well as a limited selection of fresh produce. I'm hoping once we hit summer the produce expands. Fresh breads lined the wall next to the seating area where people can grab a sandwich from the counter and have a quick bite. The meat counter offers more specialty items than you can find at your big chain grocery store, and sandwiches are made to order. I'm so happy to have this within walking distance to me. As the temperatures get warmer, I'm hopeful tables and chairs pop up on the patio where I can grab a bite to eat while watching the day go by. Welcome to the neighbor, R2GO!

I've struggled with how to rate and review Goose the Market for a long time…read more I've struggled mightily. It's an Indianapolis icon in many ways. It's beloved. And listen, it's not the most wheelchair friendly place in the world. If you're a wheelchair user, you're in all likelihood not going to the cellar unless you're extraordinary with you're chair or you crawl. I remember attending a Yelp event here, and I just wrestled with these issues so much. It's not inaccessible - you can get in the door, though even the parking is a bit wonky and the curb-cuts a bit worn. This is an older building in an older neighborhood. So yeah, if you're a wheelchair user plan ahead. I am a wheelchair user. And I suppose I should knock off my usual 1-star for accessibility issues. But, I just can't do it. I, instead, choose to go 5-stars with my narrative disclaimer that there are accessibility issues here. But, my word. This is a great place and every single experience I've had with Goose the Market, including last night's Italian Film Festival, has been stellar whether I'm in their location or at an event they are catering. What is Goose the Market? First off, nearly everyone considers it one of the best - Indianapolis Monthly, Eater, Yelp, etc. Goose the Market offers a daily menu of sandwiches, soups, gelato, and small plates. It offers raw beef, pork, poultry, game, seafood, in-house made sausage/smoked meats, and more. It offers charcuterie - both in-house and from other producers. It offers farmstead cheeses, fresh produce, artisan breads, preserves, sauces, pickles, pasta, crackers, flours/grains, and a lot more. There's the cellar - Enoteca bar with Italian style wine by the glass and small plates (and it has all-ages seating). Goose the Market offers a wine of the month club, gift cards, catering, classes, daily specials, and more. What can I say? There are those places that are worth the effort. As a lifelong person with a disability, I long ago realized the world would never be perfectly accessible. It's never going to happen. I'll continue to work toward a more accessible world, though I'll also honor that there are those places where I feel welcome anyway. I feel welcome at Goose the Market, though I can't quite get the full experience. The service is exceptional, the products quite awesome, the environment warm and friendly, and there's simply no doubt it's one of Indy's treasures. So yeah, five stars. With a disclaimer that those with mobility impairments may need to plan ahead or have a companion along. Who wants to be my companion?

What a fun spot for a sandwich or cheese or sundry items!…read more It is on the corner of two busy streets but does have two spots in front for parking. You can also park in the gravel lot across the road. It was raining pretty heavily so we got wet but wasn't a far dash. The counter is like any deli with the items displayed in the cold case. You can browse the various freezers or shelves for items like picked veggies, canned fish or spreads. It was fun to see that you could buy everything needed for a picnic or impromptu lunch! We got sandwiches to go as well as locally baked cookies. I tried the recommendation for a vegetarian sandwich. It was nice and crusty and had some good flavor. I might create my own next time, but theirs was good and had lots of flavor! My friend was new to Indianapolis and really liked the options. She said she would be back and so will we. They also do tasting events and other things so we might check out one of their offerings. A fun local spot!

The entrees (the monkfish special and the carbonara) were good but not great. I did appreciate the crispy, smoky pancetta in the carbonara but the monkfish had a somewhat mushy texture rather than the he firmness we would normally expect. The biggest issue, though, was the check. The calamari never came off, the meatballs for the children's pasta were more expensive than what was on the menu, and we were charged for an extra calamari dipping sauce that we did not ask for. Most of these problems were fixed but the whole thing illustrated a lack of attention to detail and an appearance of up-charging the customer in any way possible. Overall: Food: fair 4/5 Service: decent 3.5/5 Pricing: suspicious 2/5

While I don't think we should get an appetizer again because it was so much food, the marinara that can with the cheesy garlic bread was phenomenal. Both of our entrees were delicious! A ton of food. I wish we could have taken some home, but we're going to a show after. Brussel sprouts were to die for.... So good. Love the glaze they put on them. Again, I think we could have been fine with just our entrees and salads, but all the food we tried was so delicious - I am really glad we did. We may not make it back as often as I would like, but we love the ambiance, service, and food. This is a special place for us and we hope to share it with others.
