So I stroll in to this place looking for the next great pizza find and BOOM! This place is a great throw back atmosphere! Counter and table seating. The service is excellent with a great attitude towards the customer. I had what they call Grandma's Pizza. I would say I would be hard pressed to find better pizza! Have heard so much about this place decided to get my usual cohorts together to try it out l. Upon walking in I imagine it looks like it did when it first opened. I imagine by the look of it they are the bar stools from when it first opened. It has a very dated Pizza shop like I remember growing up, no TV, 2 arcade machines, drink coolers, booths, tables (stick, greasy tops, which really add to the character of a place) so it isn't a modern spot by no means. Food wise we ordered a half and half pepperoni/BBQ Chicken, we were all feeling adventurous. Also placed an order for garlic knots, then the man behind the counter told us to go behind the counter and grab our own drinks at our leisure, (very different experience.) we sat down about 10 minutes later fresh out of the oven garlic knots came that were shaped like mini croissants, hot fresh and delicious. The marina sauce was tasty but needed a bit more salt according to my bro in law but I liked it. Our pizza was soon to follow. It looked good but from visual appeal it wasn't very many pepperoni and the BBQ sauce smelled of the kind of sauce you get in a HS cafeteria. Taste wise the pepperoni was good, about what you would expect the crust was the right crunch and consistency. The BBQ sauce was generic, almost like ketchup, nothing special or worth thinking twice about. After our meal I felt it necessary so I got the fried dough and was not disappointed. They were fresh, hot and sweet very much what I want in fried dough. Overall if I could give a 3 1/4 star I would. It was just okay, I have had better pizza but for a Saturday evening, a local business, super friendly staff, it is worth at least trying and perhaps I will go back try it again and amend my review. read more

Hopefully, the great bunch of guys at pizza town will read this. The food is fantastic. We have been customers for 30 years, and in all that time I don't believe the Decor has changed. It is dark and dreary in there. Wood paneling, low lighting, dark tables. Time to close for a week or two and UPDATE!! We often pass on by because it is just depressing in there. WILL NOT TAKE CASH ON DELIVERIES ! OK I understand that there is a VIRUS going around and it is spread very fast and easy. we order from them a lot but the other night we wanted to pay by CASH !. and was told no. we offered to put the money on the door.the driver has to come up that far anyway.we like the delivery service as I am a 100% disabled VETERAN that has some trouble traveling.so to get the food delivered makes it a lot easier. We will not order from them anymore . if they are afraid of getting the virus from us or the money we hand them, they need to rethink the idea of being open. they need to brush up on the details of how the virus is spread . now I know that they will wear mask and gloves . but what about when they get their food delivered ? they have to touch the boxes that it come in! or even the pizza boxes.even when they make a order for you pick up there is still contact. I will just go to places in the future that will take cash. we as the customer are taken more of a risk going for pick up or delivery who knows if their employee has or does not have the virus. Wow, really bad pizza and place a little dirty. The pizza was hard as cardboard -overcooked. If the guy making it had been paying any attention, he would have dumped it. Nothing special about the sauce which was canned commercial tomato sauce. The cheese mediocre. The place looks like nothing in it has been moved or updated in 20 years.
